Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 18, 2026

Overview

What We Collect: optional account data, the exam recalls you choose to share, the mock-exam responses you submit for AI grading, payment status for grading credit packs, support messages, analytics, and security logs needed to run IELTS Actual Tests.

How We Use It: to operate the free practice library, review and publish shared recalls, grade your mock-exam responses, handle billing for credit packs, keep the service secure, provide support, and improve the product.

How We Protect It: the entire practice library works without an account; we limit stored operational data, do not store full card details, and design analytics and logs so they do not keep raw AI provider payloads.

Your Rights: where applicable, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal information.

Information You Provide

  • Account information such as email address, name, avatar, login method, and language preference — an account is optional and only needed for saved progress, recall submissions, and AI grading credits.
  • Exam recalls you share: the exam date, region, and what you remember from your sitting, plus an optional contact email used only for moderation follow-up — never published.
  • Mock-exam responses (writing answers, speaking recordings) that you submit for AI grading, together with the band feedback generated for you.
  • Payment status handled by third-party payment providers when you buy grading credits. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Support messages you send when you contact us for product feedback, technical support, billing support, or a refund review.

Shared Recalls Become Public Content

The recall wall is a public resource. When you share an exam recall and it passes moderation, the recall text is published — and it may also be edited, condensed, or combined with other reports into curated summaries and rebuilt practice tests.

Your name and email are NEVER published alongside a recall. Published recalls are shown anonymously, identified only by exam date and region.

Please do not include personal information about yourself or others inside the recall text itself.

Third-Party AI and Infrastructure Providers

When your mock-exam responses are graded, or shared recalls are processed into curated summaries and rebuilt tests, the relevant content is transmitted to third-party AI service providers solely to process that request. These requests may be routed to large language models through intermediary infrastructure services.

Practice audio and other generated files may be produced and stored using third-party cloud infrastructure and storage providers.

These providers process requests according to their own policies. We may update the specific models, providers, or routing over time without changing this policy. AI feedback should be treated as practice guidance, not an official assessment.

Payments

Payments for AI grading credit packs are processed by third-party payment providers. We receive payment status and order details but do not store your full card numbers.

Each provider processes your payment according to its own terms and privacy policy. The practice library itself never requires payment.

Analytics, Logs, and Advertising

We use analytics and structured logs to understand reliability, security, and usage. Where configured, we may use third-party analytics and advertising services to understand which visits lead to sign-ups or purchases.

Advertising and analytics tags may set cookies and, where enabled, use hashed data such as a hashed email to measure conversions more accurately. Our logs are designed not to store raw AI request content, API keys, or full card details.

You can control advertising and analytics cookies through your browser and, where a consent banner is shown, through your consent choices.

Data Retention

We retain account information, graded responses, analytics records, and operational logs only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate business operations.

You may request deletion of your account data. Recalls that have already been published remain part of the public library in their anonymous form; contact us if you want a specific published recall removed. Certain records may be retained for security, fraud prevention, billing, tax, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, including by our hosting, AI, analytics, support, and payment providers.

By using IELTS Actual Tests, you understand that information may be transferred and processed in these jurisdictions as necessary to provide the service.

Children

IELTS Actual Tests is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal information where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for security, billing, legal, or operational reasons.

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
