Examiners spot memorized model answers in seconds — and someone else's band-9 essay is unmemorisable anyway. Our companion sites take the real questions from this site and build answers from your own experiences and ideas.
Pick any real question from our recall wall — it writes a band-calibrated essay (6.5, 7.0 or 7.5) from your own ideas and experiences, with examiner-style annotations. Yours to learn, because it is already about your life.

Where these tests come from
Test-takers recall
After each real IELTS sitting, test-takers around the world report what appeared: topics, question types, answers. We collect these recalls month by month.
We rebuild faithfully
Each recall is rebuilt into a complete practice test — including recreated audio for listening and redrawn maps and charts. Faithful to the recall, clearly labelled as non-official.
Verify and explain
Every answer key is cross-checked, and every question gets a plain-English explanation: why the answer is right, where to find it, and why the tempting option fails.
Other recall archives give you text summaries. This is the only library where a month-dated recall comes back as a full test you can actually sit — audio included.
