A famous person whose interview I watched was Vo Trong Nghia, a Vietnamese architect who is well known for using bamboo in his buildings.

I watched this interview about four months ago, late at night on my phone, lying on my bed in my apartment. I found it on YouTube while I was searching for design videos, and I ended up watching the whole thing because it was interesting.

In the interview, he talked mostly about why he chose to build with bamboo instead of concrete, and how he grew up in the countryside before studying architecture in Japan. He also talked a little about how hard it was to start his own company, and how he tries to make buildings that use natural light and fresh air instead of air conditioning.

I felt quite inspired after watching it, because I also work in a creative job, even though mine is UI design rather than architecture. Hearing him talk about following his own ideas, even when people thought bamboo buildings were strange, made me think more carefully about my own design choices at work. I liked that he spoke slowly and seriously, not like some celebrities who just want attention. After the interview finished, I actually looked up photos of his buildings for almost another hour.
