Band 6.5

The turning point is described plainly, in a simple time clause ('It did not need a big garden, it just needed attention and regular walks'), clear and accurate but with little further analysis.Bước ngoặt được miêu tả một cách mộc mạc, trong một mệnh đề thời gian đơn giản ('It did not need a big garden, it just needed attention and regular walks'), rõ ràng và chính xác nhưng ít phân tích thêm.

The opinion I changed was about keeping a pet in a small apartment. For a long time, I thought it was unfair to keep a dog in a place like mine, with no balcony and not much space.

I changed this opinion about a year ago, when my friend Hà went to Hanoi for two weeks and asked me to look after her small dog. At first I said yes only because she was my friend, and I still believed it would be a bad experience.

But during those two weeks, I changed my mind completely. The dog was happy just walking with me every morning near the river and sleeping quietly in the apartment the rest of the time. It did not need a big garden, it just needed attention and regular walks, which I could easily give.

Because of this experience, I now think a small apartment is not really the problem, as long as the owner has enough time for the pet. The result is that I am now seriously thinking about getting a small dog myself, something I would never have considered before. My friends are quite surprised, because I used to argue with them about exactly this topic.

  • GRAI changed this opinion about a year ago, when my friend Hà went to Hanoi"When my friend Hà went to Hanoi" is a straightforward time clause attached to the main sentence, accurate, natural, and about as basic a form of subordination as English offers. It's the kind of correct-but-simple complexity that defines Band 6.5 grammar: enough to link two ideas together, without any further layering.“When my friend Hà went to Hanoi” là một mệnh đề thời gian trực tiếp gắn với câu chính, chính xác, tự nhiên, và gần như là hình thức phụ thuộc cơ bản nhất mà tiếng Anh có thể mang lại.
  • LRIt did not need a big garden, it just needed attention and regular walks"It did not need a big garden, it just needed attention and regular walks" uses two parallel, plainly-worded clauses joined without a conjunction, relying entirely on everyday vocabulary to make the point. No idiom or figurative language is attempted even though the moment, realising a dog doesn't need much space, would suit one; that restraint to the plainest available words is the Band 6.5 pattern.“It did not need a big garden, it just needed attention and regular walks” dùng hai mệnh đề song song, diễn đạt trần trụi được nối với nhau mà không có liên từ, hoàn toàn dựa vào từ vựng đời thường để nêu ý.
  • FCMy friends are quite surprised"My friends are quite surprised" closes the answer with a short, flat observation and no follow-up on why they're surprised or how that surprise showed itself. That direct, undeveloped closing statement is typical Band 6.5 coherence — the fact is reported, but not elaborated into a fuller reflective moment.“My friends are quite surprised” khép lại câu trả lời bằng một quan sát ngắn, trần trụi mà không có bất kỳ sự tiếp nối nào về việc tại sao họ ngạc nhiên hay sự ngạc nhiên đó thể hiện ra sao.
Band 7.0

The natural collocation 'he hadn't waited around for permission to start' and the parallel noun clauses in the reflective paragraph show the answer developing a genuine argument fluently.Cách phối hợp từ tự nhiên 'he hadn't waited around for permission to start' và các mệnh đề danh từ song song trong đoạn văn mang tính suy ngẫm cho thấy câu trả lời đang phát triển một lập luận thực sự một cách trôi chảy.

The opinion I changed was about studying abroad. For years I honestly believed that if you wanted a really good career, you more or less had to study overseas at some point — otherwise you'd always be a step behind people who had.

I changed my mind about two years ago because of my friend Dat, who never left Vietnam to study but ended up doing really well anyway. He studied at a local university here in Da Nang, which I used to think of as a bit of a 'safe' choice compared to going abroad, and I honestly assumed he'd struggle to compete with people who had international degrees.

What actually happened was the opposite. While he was still studying, Dat taught himself skills online that his course didn't even cover, built up a strong portfolio, and started freelancing for companies outside Vietnam before he'd even graduated. By the time he finished university, he already had more real work experience than most people who'd just come back from studying abroad, simply because he hadn't waited around for permission to start.

Seeing that made me realise the location wasn't really the important part — what mattered was how much effort someone put in and how well they used the opportunities around them, wherever they happened to be. Studying abroad can obviously help, but it's clearly not the only route to doing well.

As a result, I stopped assuming that a foreign degree automatically makes someone more capable, and I've become a lot more interested in what people have actually done rather than where they studied. It's changed how I look at job applications too, now that I sometimes help with hiring at work.

  • LRhe hadn't waited around for permission to start'Waited around for permission' is a natural collocation -- not a fixed idiom, but a phrase native speakers reach for comfortably -- that captures Dat's self-starting attitude more vividly than a plain verb like 'delayed', matching the 7.0 descriptor's call for a few flexible, topic-appropriate phrases rather than only basic vocabulary.
  • GRAwhat mattered was how much effort someone put in and how well they used the opportunities around themTwo noun clauses -- 'how much effort someone put in' and 'how well they used the opportunities' -- are coordinated in parallel after the cleft opener 'what mattered was', producing a genuinely complex sentence that stays accurate and conversational rather than sounding like written academic prose. This comfortable handling of parallel subordination is exactly the 'mix of simple and complex, generally accurate' range the 7.0 grammar descriptor describes, one notch below the varied relative-clause density a 7.5 answer would layer in.Hai mệnh đề danh từ — "how much effort someone put in" và "how well they used the opportunities" — được phối hợp song song sau phần mở đầu kiểu câu chẻ "what mattered was", tạo ra một câu thực sự phức tạp nhưng vẫn giữ được sự chính xác và tính hội thoại chứ không nghe như văn viết học thuật.
  • GRAI stopped assuming that a foreign degree automatically makes someone more capableThe verb 'stopped assuming' governs a full that-clause containing its own embedded claim, a construction handled accurately and without hesitation, which fits the 7.0 descriptor's comfortable complex-sentence range. It also marks the answer's conclusion clearly, converting the earlier story about Dat into a stated change of belief rather than leaving the moral of the anecdote implicit, which is the kind of explicit development the band expects.Động từ "stopped assuming" chi phối cả một mệnh đề "that" hoàn chỉnh chứa bên trong nó một tuyên bố lồng ghép riêng, một cấu trúc được xử lý chính xác và không hề do dự, phù hợp với phạm vi câu phức thoải mái mà tiêu chí Band 7.0 mô tả.
Band 7.5

The precise analytical claim 'the parts of the job that genuinely needed a room... were maybe a fifth of it' shows real evaluative thinking backed by a specific estimate, distinctly Band 7.5.Nhận định phân tích chính xác 'the parts of the job that genuinely needed a room... were maybe a fifth of it' cho thấy tư duy đánh giá thực sự, được hỗ trợ bằng một ước tính cụ thể, rõ ràng ở mức Band 7.5.

The opinion I changed was about working from home. Until about two years ago I was firmly against it — I thought it was a polite word for lazy, that design was a team sport that needed a room, and that anyone asking to work remotely was really asking to work less. I said this in meetings. I was fairly proud of it.

What changed it was my grandmother. She had a fall and spent three weeks in hospital in Hue, and since my parents both work and my sister had two small children, I was the one who could go. I asked the studio for three weeks off; they offered me three weeks remote instead, which I accepted as a compromise and expected to be a disaster.

It wasn't. I worked from a plastic chair in a hospital corridor, then from my parents' kitchen, in the gaps between sitting with my grandmother, and the work was some of the best I'd done that year. Without the studio's constant small interruptions, I finished a redesign in ten days that had been dragging for two months. I joined calls from the corridor and nobody could tell. And I noticed that the parts of the job that genuinely needed a room — arguing over a sketch, the first messy hour of an idea — were maybe a fifth of it. The rest was concentration, which a hospital corridor offered more of than an open-plan office.

The result was that I had to say so out loud. When I came back, I told the studio I'd been wrong, which was uncomfortable, and I proposed two remote days a week with the in-person days reserved for the work that needed people. It's been the rule for a year now. The junior designers, who'd wanted it all along and hadn't dared ask, were kind enough not to point out that it took my grandmother's hip to change my mind.

  • LRI thought it was a polite word for lazyRecasting 'working from home' as 'a polite word for lazy' is a compact, witty reframing that conveys the speaker's former prejudice more memorably and precisely than a flat statement like 'I thought people who worked from home were lazy', which is the kind of natural, idiomatic sharpness the 7.5 lexical descriptor rewards. A 7.0 answer would likely opt for the plainer version; here the phrasing also sets up the irony that pays off later when the speaker changes his mind.
  • GRAthe parts of the job that genuinely needed a room — arguing over a sketch, the first messy hour of an idea — were maybe a fifth of itA defining relative clause ('that genuinely needed a room') is interrupted by a dashed list of concrete examples before the sentence resolves with a quantified estimate ('maybe a fifth of it'), which is a genuinely varied, controlled structure well past the comfortable-but-plainer complexity a 7.0 answer would show.
  • LRit took my grandmother's hip to change my mindThe understated phrasing 'it took my grandmother's hip' stands in for the whole emotional ordeal of her fall and hospital stay, using dry humour rather than stating directly 'my grandmother's accident changed my opinion', which is the natural idiomatic economy the 7.5 lexical descriptor rewards. It closes the story on a self-deprecating, reflective note that a 7.0 answer would more likely state plainly and without the wit.Cách diễn đạt giảm nhẹ 'it took my grandmother's hip' thay thế cho toàn bộ trải nghiệm cảm xúc nặng nề về cú ngã và thời gian nằm viện của bà, dùng lối hài hước khô khan thay vì nói thẳng 'my grandmother's accident changed my opinion' -- đây là sự súc tích tự nhiên mang tính thành ngữ mà tiêu chí từ vựng Band 7.5 đánh giá cao.

  1. 1. At what age do children start to have their own opinions?

    Band 6.5

The 6.5 answer gives a direct claim ("earlier than most people expect") with one simple story about a nephew, using plain time markers ("at two", "at four") and a final "so" summary.Bài mẫu 6.5 điểm đưa ra khẳng định trực tiếp ("earlier than most people expect") kèm theo một câu chuyện đơn giản về cháu trai, dùng những mốc thời gian đơn giản ("at two", "at four") và một câu tổng kết 'so' ở cuối.

I think it happens earlier than most people expect, but the way it looks changes over time. My nephew at two refused the blue cup with total conviction, but he had no reason for it. At four, he could explain why he didn't like it. By about three, children have clear ideas about food, clothes and people, and they will defend them. Around seven or eight, they start to have opinions about fairness, which are sometimes stricter than adults'. So a child has opinions from a very young age, but their own independent opinions come a bit later.

    • FCSo a child has opinions from a very young age, but their own independent opinions come a bit later. This closing sentence uses "so...but" to restate the point in almost the same words as the opening, a plain wrap-up typical of this band. A 7.5 answer would more likely turn this distinction into a sharper, more original line.Câu kết này dùng "so...but" để tái diễn đạt luận điểm bằng những từ ngữ gần như giống hệt phần mở đầu, một cách khép lại đơn giản đặc trưng của mức điểm này.
    • LRchildren have clear ideas about food, clothes and people"Clear ideas" is plain, general vocabulary rather than a more specific word like "preferences", which a higher band would likely choose."Clear ideas" là từ vựng đơn giản, chung chung thay vì một từ cụ thể hơn như 'preferences', từ mà bài điểm cao hơn nhiều khả năng sẽ chọn.
    • GRAMy nephew at two refused the blue cup with total conviction, but he had no reason for it.This sentence uses a simple "but"-clause to add a contrast, accurate but structurally plain compared to the dash-linked constructions of higher bands.Câu này dùng một mệnh đề "but" đơn giản để thêm sự đối lập, chính xác nhưng đơn giản về cấu trúc so với những cấu trúc nối bằng gạch ngang ở các bài điểm cao hơn.
    Band 7.0

The 7.0 answer hedges with "I'd say" and uses the semicolon-linked contrast "no reason at all; by four, he could actually explain why", then distinguishes "opinions" from "independent ones" more precisely than the 6.5 version.Bài mẫu 7.0 điểm giảm nhẹ bằng 'I'd say' và dùng sự đối lập nối bằng dấu chấm phẩy "no reason at all; by four, he could actually explain why", sau đó phân biệt "opinions" với "independent ones" chính xác hơn phiên bản 6.5 điểm.

Earlier than we usually give them credit for, I'd say, though the shape of it changes a lot. My nephew at two refused the blue cup with absolute conviction and no reason at all; by four, he could actually explain why. By about three, children have clear preferences about food, clothes and people, and honestly, they'll defend them fiercely. Around seven or eight they start forming views about fairness and other people's behaviour, often stricter than adults' own. What really arrives in the teenage years isn't opinions exactly, but independent ones — views that differ from the family's partly because they differ. So a child has opinions from the moment they can say no.

    • FCEarlier than we usually give them credit for, I'd say, though the shape of it changes a lotThe double hedge "I'd say" and "though the shape of it changes a lot" softens a confident opening claim in a natural, spoken way, more textured than the flatter opening of a 6.5 answer.Lời giảm nhẹ kép "I'd say" và "though the shape of it changes a lot" làm dịu một khẳng định mở đầu tự tin theo cách nói tự nhiên, có sắc thái hơn so với phần mở đầu đơn điệu hơn của bài 6.5 điểm.
    • LRthey'll defend them fiercely"Fiercely" is a more vivid, precise adverb than the plain "they will defend them" a 6.5 answer would leave unmodified."Fiercely" là một trạng từ sinh động, chính xác hơn so với "they will defend them" không được bổ nghĩa mà bài 6.5 điểm sẽ để nguyên.
    • GRAMy nephew at two refused the blue cup with absolute conviction and no reason at all; by four, he could actually explain whyA semicolon links two contrasted clauses into one sentence, a moderately complex structure beyond the "but"-joined separate sentences a 6.5 answer would use for the same contrast.Một dấu chấm phẩy nối hai mệnh đề đối lập thành một câu, một cấu trúc phức tạp vừa phải vượt lên trên những câu tách rời nối bằng "but" mà bài 6.5 điểm sẽ dùng cho cùng sự đối lập.
    Band 7.5

The 7.5 answer uses the compact aphorism "the opinion arrived first, the reasoning came later" and closes with the balanced, semicolon-linked distinction between "opinions" and "their own", a sharper final touch than the plainer bands.Bài mẫu 7.5 điểm dùng câu châm ngôn cô đọng "the opinion arrived first, the reasoning came later" và kết thúc bằng sự phân biệt cân bằng, nối bằng dấu chấm phẩy giữa "opinions" và "their own", một nét kết sắc bén hơn so với các bài điểm đơn giản hơn.

Earlier than we tend to credit them for, though the shape of it keeps changing. My nephew at two refused the blue cup with absolute conviction and absolutely no reason; at four, he could explain exactly why — the opinion arrived first, the reasoning came later. By about three, children have firm preferences about food, clothes and people, and they'll defend them to the death. Around seven or eight they start forming views about fairness and other people's conduct, often stricter than any adult's. What arrives in the teenage years isn't opinions but independent ones — views held partly because they differ from the family's. So a child has opinions from the moment they can say no; they have their own from roughly the moment they can disagree with someone they love.

Parents have the most influence in general, I think, but teachers matter in certain areas. My views on money and family came from my father, even though he never gave me a lecture about it. My love of reading came from one teacher who cared more about books than my parents did. Parents have more time with children, and their influence is often unspoken and hard to resist. Teachers influence areas families don't cover, and a good teacher can change a child's whole life. But if there is a conflict, I think the home usually wins.

My views on money, family and how to treat strangers came from my father, without a single lecture — he just behaved in front of me for eighteen years. My love of reading came from one teacher who cared more about books than my parents did. Parents have the advantage of time and of being there before a child can even question anything, so their influence is mostly unspoken and hard to resist. Teachers tend to influence areas the family doesn't cover, and a good teacher can genuinely redirect a child's whole life. But in a conflict, I'd say the home usually wins.

Yes, and my sister's classroom shows why. She started asking one 'what do you think?' question every lesson, and within a term, the class went from silent to arguing. This shows the students did have opinions; they just were not asked for them before. Asking questions teaches children to form an opinion, defend it, and listen when someone disagrees, which no textbook can really teach. It also shows the teacher what students actually understood. There are some limits, like subjects with only one right answer, but a child never asked at school learns that their opinion does not matter.

My real opinion had no purpose except to hurt her, so I said it was beautiful, and I would say that again. Honesty is good when a decision can still be changed. There are also professional situations, like a doctor's private opinion about a patient's choices. In some cultures, a direct opinion can also seem rude, so making it softer is a form of respect.

My cousin asked what I thought of her wedding dress two days before the wedding, after it had already been bought, altered and photographed, and my real opinion had no job to do except wound her — I said it was beautiful, and I'd say it again. Honesty is really for decisions that are still open. There are professional situations too, like a doctor's private view of a patient's life choices, or an employee's opinion of a client's taste in a meeting. And in some cultures, blunt opinion is simply rudeness, so softening it is more like respect.

Yes, a lot, and I see this every week at work. Our German client writes 'this is wrong, change it', but my Vietnamese colleague, meaning the same thing, writes 'perhaps we could consider another direction'. Each side finds the other's style a little strange. In many Asian cultures, including mine, opinions are made softer to protect the other person's feelings, and disagreeing directly with someone senior can seem rude. In other cultures, being direct is seen as respect, and being too soft looks dishonest. Culture also decides who is allowed to have an opinion, like the young or juniors.

    • GRASocieties that punish unpopular opinions stop learning; every important correction, from medicine to politics, began as a view most people rejectedA semicolon links a general claim to its supporting evidence in one sentence, a more compact structure than the separate "because"-clause a 6.5 answer would use for the same link.Một dấu chấm phẩy nối một nhận định khái quát với bằng chứng hỗ trợ nó trong một câu, một cấu trúc cô đọng hơn so với mệnh đề 'because' tách biệt mà bài 6.5 điểm sẽ dùng cho cùng mối liên kết đó.
    Band 7.5

The 7.5 answer replaces "a lot of" with the more idiomatic "no shortage of" and closes on a fronted cleft sentence balancing speaking with listening, a more deliberate final structure than the plainer bands use.Bài mẫu 7.5 điểm thay 'a lot of' bằng 'no shortage of' đậm chất thành ngữ hơn, và kết thúc bằng một câu nhấn mạnh đảo lên trước cân bằng giữa việc nói và việc lắng nghe, một cấu trúc kết bài có chủ đích hơn so với các bài điểm đơn giản hơn sử dụng.

Yes, provided they're also willing to be wrong. A junior designer at our studio finally said out loud that the client's favourite feature was useless, which made her unpopular for about a week and turned out to be correct — the project improved because one person risked the room's disapproval. Societies that punish unpopular opinions stop learning; every important correction, from medicine to politics, began as a view most people rejected. But there's a difference between an unpopular opinion held with evidence and one held purely for attention, and the internet has produced no shortage of the second kind. What we actually need is more people willing to say the uncomfortable thing, and then genuinely listen to the reply.

    • FCthe internet has produced no shortage of the second kind"No shortage of" is a genuinely idiomatic negative construction standing in for the plainer "a lot of" a 6.5 or 7.0 answer would use for the same quantity."No shortage of" là một cấu trúc phủ định thực sự đậm chất thành ngữ, thay thế cho 'a lot of' đơn giản hơn mà bài 6.5 hoặc 7.0 điểm sẽ dùng cho cùng số lượng.
    • LRone person risked the room's disapproval"The room's disapproval" personifies the group as a single entity, a more vivid, less-common collocation than a plain phrase like "other people's disapproval"."The room's disapproval" nhân cách hóa cả nhóm người thành một thực thể duy nhất, một cách kết hợp từ sinh động, ít gặp hơn so với một cụm từ đơn giản như "other people's disapproval".
    • GRAWhat we actually need is more people willing to say the uncomfortable thing, and then genuinely listen to the replyThis fronted cleft construction ("What we actually need is...") followed by a reduced relative ("willing to say..." instead of "who are willing to say") is a compact, flexible closing structure beyond the plain sentences of lower bands.Cấu trúc nhấn mạnh đảo lên trước này ("What we actually need is...") theo sau bởi một mệnh đề quan hệ rút gọn ("willing to say..." thay vì "who are willing to say") là một cấu trúc kết bài cô đọng, linh hoạt vượt lên trên những câu đơn giản của các bài điểm thấp hơn.
  9. 9. Is it increasingly difficult to distinguish fact from opinion?

    So sánh Band 6.5 / 7.0 / 7.5 cho câu hỏi này
    Band 6.5

The 6.5 answer states a direct "Yes" opinion with one clear cause ("how information is presented") and one workplace example, using simple connectors like "and" and "but".Bài mẫu 6.5 điểm phát biểu quan điểm "Yes" trực tiếp với một nguyên nhân rõ ràng ("how information is presented") và một ví dụ nơi làm việc, dùng những liên từ đơn giản như 'and' và 'but'.

Yes, and it is because of how information is presented, not people getting less clever. A client once showed us a 'statistic' about user behaviour that turned out to be one influencer's guess, repeated so many times that it looked like real data. Anyone can use the same fonts, charts and confident tone now, and websites do not usually show where information came from. Real facts are also often argued about, which makes people think everything is just opinion. The skill of asking 'how do you know?' is very important now, but schools do not teach it much.

    • FCThe skill of asking 'how do you know?' is very important now, but schools do not teach it much. This closing sentence pairs two ideas with "but" in a plain, direct way. A 7.5 answer would more likely compress this contrast into a single, more pointed sentence instead.Câu kết này ghép cặp hai ý tưởng bằng 'but' theo cách đơn giản, trực tiếp.
    • LRrepeated so many times that it looked like real data"Looked like real data" is a plain, literal phrase rather than a more figurative expression, such as clothing or costume imagery, for the same idea."Looked like real data" là một cụm từ đơn giản, trực nghĩa, thay vì một cách diễn đạt mang tính hình tượng hơn, chẳng hạn như hình ảnh quần áo hay trang phục, cho cùng ý tưởng.
    • GRAAnyone can use the same fonts, charts and confident tone now, and websites do not usually show where information came from. This sentence joins two clauses with "and", accurate but structurally plain, without any fronted or embedded construction.Câu này nối hai mệnh đề bằng 'and', chính xác nhưng đơn giản về cấu trúc, không có cấu trúc đảo lên trước hay lồng ghép.
    Band 7.0

The 7.0 answer uses the natural collocation "picked up the look of real data" and the reflective aside "when I actually traced it", giving the example more texture than the plain retelling in the 6.5 version.Bài mẫu 7.0 điểm dùng cách kết hợp từ tự nhiên "picked up the look of real data" và lời chêm mang tính suy ngẫm "when I actually traced it", mang lại chất liệu phong phú hơn cho ví dụ so với cách kể lại đơn giản trong phiên bản 6.5 điểm.

Yes, and honestly I think it's presentation rather than people getting less careful. A client once showed us a 'statistic' about user behaviour that turned out, when I actually traced it, to be one influencer's guess repeated across enough posts that it had picked up the look of real data. The same fonts, charts and confident tone are available to anyone now, and platforms rarely distinguish between them. Sources get stripped away as things are shared, and genuine facts are often disputed too, which pushes people to conclude that everything's just opinion. The skill of asking 'how do you know?' has never mattered more, and it's not something schools spend much time on.

    • FCwhen I actually traced itThis brief parenthetical aside inserted mid-sentence signals personal verification in a natural, spoken way, something a 6.5 answer's plainer "when I checked it" states more flatly.Lời chêm ngắn gọn được chèn vào giữa câu này báo hiệu sự xác minh cá nhân theo cách nói tự nhiên, một điều mà "when I checked it" đơn giản hơn của bài 6.5 điểm phát biểu một cách đơn điệu hơn.
    • LRit had picked up the look of real data"Picked up the look of" is a more natural, idiomatic phrase than the plain "looked like" a 6.5 answer would use for the same disguise."Picked up the look of" là một cụm từ tự nhiên, đậm chất thành ngữ hơn so với 'looked like' đơn giản mà bài 6.5 điểm sẽ dùng cho cùng sự ngụy trang đó.
    • GRAone influencer's guess repeated across enough posts that it had picked up the look of real dataA result clause ("repeated across enough posts that it had picked up...") is embedded without a comma, a moderately complex construction beyond the simpler "repeated so many times that" phrasing of a 6.5 answer.Một mệnh đề kết quả ("repeated across enough posts that it had picked up...") được lồng vào mà không có dấu phẩy, một cấu trúc phức tạp vừa phải vượt lên trên cách diễn đạt "repeated so many times that" đơn giản hơn của bài 6.5 điểm.
    Band 7.5

The 7.5 answer uses the vivid extended metaphor "opinions now travel in the clothing of facts" as its central image, giving the argument a memorable centre-point the plainer bands lack.Bài mẫu 7.5 điểm dùng phép ẩn dụ mở rộng sinh động "opinions now travel in the clothing of facts" làm hình ảnh trung tâm, mang lại cho lập luận một điểm nhấn đáng nhớ mà các bài điểm đơn giản hơn không có.

Yes, and the reason is presentation rather than people getting slower. A client once showed us a 'statistic' about how users behave that turned out, when I traced it, to be one influencer's guess, repeated across enough posts that it had acquired the look of data — opinions now travel in the clothing of facts. The same fonts, charts and confident tone are available to anyone, and platforms don't distinguish. Sources are stripped away as things are shared. And genuine facts are now often disputed, which makes people conclude that everything is opinion. The skill of asking 'how do you know?' has never mattered more, and it's not one schools spend much time on.

    Vì sao đạt band này

    • FCopinions now travel in the clothing of factsThis extended metaphor personifies opinions as dressed-up travellers, a genuinely idiomatic and memorable image well beyond the literal phrasing ("looked like real data") of a 6.5 answer.Phép ẩn dụ mở rộng này nhân cách hóa các quan điểm thành những người lữ hành ăn mặc chỉnh tề, một hình ảnh thực sự đậm chất thành ngữ và đáng nhớ, vượt xa cách diễn đạt trực nghĩa ("looked like real data") của bài 6.5 điểm.
    • LRit had acquired the look of data"Acquired" is a more precise, formal verb than the plainer "picked up" a 7.0 answer would use for the same process of gaining a false appearance."Acquired" là một động từ chính xác, trang trọng hơn so với 'picked up' đơn giản hơn mà bài 7.0 điểm sẽ dùng cho cùng quá trình có được một vẻ ngoài giả tạo.
    • GRAone influencer's guess, repeated across enough posts that it had acquired the look of data — opinions now travel in the clothing of factsA dash connects the specific example directly to a general, metaphorical statement in the same sentence, a flexible, compact link beyond the separate sentences lower bands would use for example and conclusion.Một dấu gạch ngang nối trực tiếp ví dụ cụ thể với một phát biểu khái quát, mang tính ẩn dụ trong cùng một câu, một mối liên kết linh hoạt, cô đọng vượt lên trên những câu tách biệt mà các bài điểm thấp hơn sẽ dùng cho ví dụ và kết luận.
