6.5 分

The answer gives one plain, direct reason for feeling inspired ('I also work in a creative job') and closes with a simple factual detail about what happened afterwards, a clear but modest structure typical of Band 6.5.回答给出一个简单直接的理由来说明为什么感到受启发('我自己也从事创意工作'),并以一个关于事后发生了什么的简单事实性细节收尾,结构清晰但比较朴素,是Band 6.5的典型特征。

A famous person whose interview I watched was Vo Trong Nghia, a Vietnamese architect who is well known for using bamboo in his buildings.

I watched this interview about four months ago, late at night on my phone, lying on my bed in my apartment. I found it on YouTube while I was searching for design videos, and I ended up watching the whole thing because it was interesting.

In the interview, he talked mostly about why he chose to build with bamboo instead of concrete, and how he grew up in the countryside before studying architecture in Japan. He also talked a little about how hard it was to start his own company, and how he tries to make buildings that use natural light and fresh air instead of air conditioning.

I felt quite inspired after watching it, because I also work in a creative job, even though mine is UI design rather than architecture. Hearing him talk about following his own ideas, even when people thought bamboo buildings were strange, made me think more carefully about my own design choices at work. I liked that he spoke slowly and seriously, not like some celebrities who just want attention. After the interview finished, I actually looked up photos of his buildings for almost another hour.

  • FCI felt quite inspired after watching it, because I also work in a creative job, even though mine is UI design rather than architecture. The sentence states the feeling ("inspired"), gives one reason with "because," and adds one further qualifying detail with "even though... rather than," a touch more layered than the single-clause pattern typical of this band, though the vocabulary and overall approach — direct statement plus direct justification — still stay plain. The contrast between UI design and architecture is a nice concrete detail specific to the speaker's own job, grounding an otherwise generic feeling ("inspired") in something real. This directness, reason-then-detail structure is exactly the clear-but-modest development the Band 6.5 fluency descriptor describes.
  • LRnot like some celebrities who just want attention"Just want attention" is a common, slightly judgmental phrase used to draw a contrast with the architect's seriousness, rather than a more specific or idiomatic alternative ("chasing the spotlight," "playing to the cameras") that a higher band might use for the same contrast. The relative clause "who just want attention" does add a small piece of grammatical structure, but the vocabulary inside it stays entirely within the everyday range the Band 6.5 descriptor expects, keeping the criticism plain rather than pointed or witty."Just want attention"是一个常见、略带评判意味的说法,用来和建筑师的认真态度形成对比,而不是像"chasing the spotlight"或"playing to the cameras"这类更具体、更习语化的表达——高分答案可能会用后者来表达同样的对比。定语从句"who just want attention"确实增加了一点语法结构,但其中的词汇完全停留在6.5分描述所期望的日常范围内,使这句批评显得朴实,而不是尖锐或俏皮。
  • GRAAfter the interview finished, I actually looked up photos of his buildings for almost another hour. The sentence uses a simple time clause followed by one main clause rather than varied subordination, showing the mostly simple grammar typical of Band 6.5.这句话用一个简单的时间状语从句加上一个主句,而不是使用多样的从句结构,体现出Band 6.5以简单语法为主的特征。
7.0 分

The answer develops its response around one specific quote-like detail — Sơn Tùng saying he finds inspiration in 'ordinary noise' like motorbikes and street vendors — and links it back to the writer's own work, giving fuller development than the 6.5 answer while staying more plainly stated than the 7.5 version.回答围绕一个具体的、近似引用的细节展开——山松说自己从摩托车声、街边小贩叫卖声这类'日常噪音'中找灵感——并将其与作者自身的工作联系起来,展现出比Band 6.5答案更充分的展开,但表达上比Band 7.5版本更为直白。

An interview that's stayed with me was one Sơn Tùng M-TP gave on The Khang Show — he's one of the biggest pop names in Vietnam right now. I watched it around six months ago, late on a weekday evening after work, actually eating dinner at my kitchen counter with my laptop propped up in front of me in my Da Nang apartment.

The conversation ranged across plenty of subjects, but the part that grabbed me was him talking openly about growing up in Thái Bình and the difficulties before he made it — small performances at school events, writing lyrics late at night in a cramped room he shared with his brother. He also touched on how overwhelming sudden fame had been, and the effort it takes to keep any kind of private life separate from his public one. One detail that stuck with me was him saying he often finds inspiration in ordinary noise — motorbike engines, vendors calling out on the street — which actually got me thinking about where my own design ideas tend to come from.

Overall, the interview left a real impression on me. He came across as unusually down-to-earth for someone that famous, not the polished, guarded figure you often get in these things. Listening to him talk about grinding through doubt and keeping creative habits going was genuinely motivating, and I appreciated that he didn't gloss over the failures alongside the wins. It felt far less rehearsed than the interviews you normally see. Afterwards I found myself wanting to get back to my own projects, since apparently even someone at his level still struggles with self-doubt sometimes.

  • LRhe often finds inspiration in ordinary noise"Ordinary noise" is a small but deliberate lexical choice — pairing the adjective "ordinary" with "noise" turns a plain word into a slightly more precise, topic-appropriate collocation than a flatter phrase like "everyday sounds" or "the street." This is the 7.0 lexical profile exactly: mostly common vocabulary with one flexible collocation doing extra work, rather than reaching for something genuinely unusual (which would push toward 7.5) or staying purely generic (which would read as 6.5). It also sets up the specific detail that follows — motorbike engines, street vendors — so the phrase earns its place rather than sitting there as decoration."Ordinary noise"(寻常的噪音)是一个小而刻意的词汇选择——把形容词"ordinary"与"noise"搭配,把一个普通词变成了一个比更平淡的说法(如"everyday sounds"或"the street")略微更精确、更贴合主题的搭配。这正是典型的Band 7.0词汇画像:以常见词汇为主,搭配一个承担额外表达功能的灵活搭配,而不是去够一个真正罕见的词(那会趋向Band 7.5),也不是完全停留在泛泛而谈(那会显得像Band 6.5)。它也为紧接着出现的具体细节——摩托车引擎声、路边小贩——做了铺垫,所以这个短语的存在是有理由的,而不只是装饰。
  • FCwhich actually got me thinking about where my own design ideas tend to come fromRather than just reporting what the celebrity said and moving to the next fact, the speaker uses this clause to pivot the story back onto themselves, linking the interview detail to their own creative process. That kind of self-referential development — connecting an external observation to personal reflection — is what gives 7.0 answers their "natural, connected" feel instead of the list-like structure ("He said X. He also said Y.") typical of a 6.5 response. It also plants the idea that pays off in the final paragraph, where the speaker admits the interview motivated them to return to their own projects.
  • GRAListening to him talk about grinding through doubt and keeping creative habits going was genuinely motivatingThe sentence opens with a gerund phrase ("Listening to him talk about...") functioning as the grammatical subject, rather than the simpler "I found it motivating when he talked about..." that a 6.5 or lower 7.0 answer would default to. This is the "comfortable mix of simple and complex sentences" the 7.0 tier calls for — a genuine structural variation, not just a longer sentence, and it stays accurate throughout despite the added complexity. A 7.5 answer might go further by embedding a second clause inside the gerund phrase itself; here the structure is varied but still single-layered, which keeps it squarely at 7.0.这句话以一个动名词短语("Listening to him talk about...")开头,充当句子的语法主语,而不是Band 6.5或较低的Band 7.0答案会默认使用的更简单说法"I found it motivating when he talked about..."。这正是7.0档位所要求的"简单句与复杂句的从容混用"——一种真正的结构变化,而不仅仅是句子变长,而且尽管增加了复杂度,整句话依然保持准确。Band 7.5的答案可能会更进一步,在这个动名词短语内部再嵌套第二个从句;这里的结构有变化,但仍是单层的,这使它稳稳地落在Band 7.0水平。
7.5 分

The answer closes with a reflective generalisation — that 'even someone that famous has to deal with doubt and hard work' — moving beyond simple description to an evaluative insight, typical of Band 7.5 development.回答以一句反思性的概括收尾——'即便是那么出名的人,也得面对自我怀疑和艰苦努力'——超越了单纯的描述,达到了一种评价性的洞察,是Band 7.5展开方式的典型特征。

One interview with a famous person that stands out for me is an episode of the talk show The Khang Show, where the host interviewed Son Tung M-TP, a really well-known Vietnamese pop singer and songwriter. I actually watched this interview about six months ago on YouTube, just after work one weekday evening. I remember I was eating a late dinner in my apartment in Da Nang, with my laptop propped up on the kitchen counter.

In the interview, Son Tung covered a lot of topics, but what interested me the most was when he spoke honestly about his childhood in Thai Binh and how he struggled before making it big. He described his earliest performances at local school events, and how he would write lyrics late at night in a tiny bedroom he shared with his younger brother. He also talked about the pressure of sudden fame and how he tries to keep a balance between his public image and personal life. I found it interesting that he mentioned his creative process-he sometimes gets inspiration from everyday sounds, like motorbikes or street vendors, which made me think about my own design work and how ideas can come from unexpected places.

Honestly, the interview left quite an impression on me. Son Tung came across as genuine and even a bit humble, which isn't always the case with celebrities. Hearing about his persistence and creative habits actually motivated me. I liked that he was open about both his successes and his setbacks. It felt refreshing compared to the usual scripted interviews. After watching, I felt inspired to keep working on my own projects and not get discouraged by challenges, since even someone that famous has to deal with doubt and hard work.

  • FCIt felt refreshing compared to the usual scripted interviews. The comparison to 'the usual scripted interviews' develops the evaluation beyond a flat statement of liking the interview, typical of Band 7.5 fluency.与'通常那种照本宣科的采访'相比较,把评价推进到超越单纯说'喜欢这场采访'的层面,是Band 7.5流利度的典型特征。
  • LRcame across as genuine and even a bit humble'Came across as' is a natural collocation for describing a subjective impression, used here instead of a more literal phrase like 'seemed to be' or 'appeared to be,' and it's paired with the qualifying phrase 'even a bit humble,' which softens the claim rather than stating it as an absolute fact. That kind of natural, hedged collocation is the flexible, precise vocabulary the Band 7.5 lexical target rewards, since it shows control over how English expresses impressions rather than certainties. The word 'even' also implies this was somewhat unexpected for a famous singer, setting up the following sentence's explicit comparison to less genuine, more 'scripted' celebrity interviews."Came across as"是一个用来描述主观印象的自然搭配,这里用它而不是像"seemed to be"或"appeared to be"这样更字面的表达,并且搭配了限定短语"even a bit humble",使这一说法显得柔和,而不是把它当作绝对事实来陈述。这种自然、带有缓和语气的搭配,正是7.5分词汇标准所看重的灵活精准的词汇,因为它体现出说话者能够熟练掌握英语表达印象(而非确定事实)的方式。"even"这个词也暗示这对一位知名歌手来说多少有些出乎意料,为下一句明确对比那些不够真诚、更"照本宣科"的名人采访埋下伏笔。
  • GRAsince even someone that famous has to deal with doubt and hard workThe since-clause added to the end of the sentence extends the idea economically rather than starting a new sentence, showing the varied, controlled grammar of Band 7.5.句末添加的since从句以简练的方式延伸了句意,而不是另起一句,展现出Band 7.5那种多样而收放自如的语法。

    6.5 分

The 6.5 answer gives a direct opinion supported by one plain reason per group, linked mostly with basic connectors like 'because' and 'so'.6.5的答案给出了一个直接的观点,每个群体都配有一个平实的理由支撑,主要用 'because' 和 'so' 这样基础的连接词连接。

I think actors and musicians give interviews the most, because they need to promote a new film or album. Athletes are interviewed a lot too, especially after they win a big match. Politicians also give interviews, but they seem more careful and rehearsed. This makes their answers less spontaneous to watch. Business people are appearing more now as well, like tech founders on podcasts. So basically, most famous people who give interviews have something to promote.

    我觉得演员和音乐人接受采访最多,因为他们需要宣传新电影或新专辑。运动员也经常接受采访,尤其是在赢得重要比赛之后。政治人物也会接受采访,但他们显得更谨慎、更像是排练过的。这让他们的回答看起来不太自然。商界人士现在也越来越多地出现,比如科技创业者上播客节目。所以基本上,大多数接受采访的名人都有东西要宣传。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo basically, most famous people who give interviews have something to promote. The answer wraps up with a plain, general summary sentence rather than a more nuanced closing remark. This flat, list-then-conclude structure is typical of a 6.5 response, where a higher band would round off with a more reflective or evaluative comment.这个答案以一句平实、笼统的总结句收尾,而不是更细腻的结束语。这种先列举、后总结的平铺式结构是6.5回答的典型特征,而更高分数段则会用更具反思性或评价性的评论来收尾。
    • LRBusiness people are appearing more now as wellThe vocabulary here is safe and common ('business people', 'appearing more'), doing the job without any real precision or collocation. A 7.5 answer would likely reach for a sharper phrase like 'grown far more visible' instead.这里的词汇安全而常见('business people'、'appearing more'),能完成任务但没有真正的精确度或搭配感。7.5的答案很可能会改用更犀利的短语,比如 'grown far more visible'。
    • GRAAthletes are interviewed a lot too, especially after they win a big match. This is a simple passive construction with a short 'especially' clause tacked on, which is grammatically correct but plain. A higher band would fold this idea into a more complex sentence rather than keeping it as its own short unit.这是一个简单的被动结构,加上一个附加的简短 'especially' 从句,语法正确但比较平淡。更高分数段会把这个想法融合进一个更复杂的句子里,而不是把它保留为独立的简短单位。
    7.0 分

The 7.0 answer opens with the natural spoken filler 'Honestly, I'd say' and includes one comparative sentence with 'than, say,' showing a little more flexible phrasing than a 6.5 response.7.0的答案以自然的口语填充语 'Honestly, I'd say' 开头,并包含了一句带 'than, say,' 的比较句,比6.5的回答展现出更灵活一点的措辞。

Honestly, I'd say actors and musicians give the most interviews, since they're usually promoting a new film or album. Athletes come a close second, particularly right after a big match or tournament win. Politicians give interviews too, though they tend to sound more rehearsed than, say, a musician chatting casually about a new single. To be fair, business figures have become more visible recently as well, with tech founders often appearing on podcasts to talk about their companies. If there's one thing they share, it's that they all have something to promote.

    说实话,我想说演员和音乐人接受的采访最多,因为他们通常在宣传新电影或新专辑。运动员紧随其后,尤其是在赢得重要比赛或锦标赛之后。政治人物也会接受采访,不过他们听起来往往比较排练,比如相较于一个音乐人随性地聊聊新单曲。平心而论,商界人物最近也变得更引人注目了,科技创业者经常上播客节目聊他们的公司。如果说他们有什么共同点,那就是他们都有东西要宣传。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHonestly, I'd say actors and musicians give the most interviewsOpening with a spoken discourse marker like 'Honestly, I'd say' signals natural reflection rather than a flat statement of fact. A 6.5 answer would more likely just state 'I think actors and musicians give the most interviews' without this softening.用像 'Honestly, I'd say' 这样的口语话语标记开头,传达出自然的反思感,而不是平铺直叙地陈述事实。6.5的答案更可能只会说 'I think actors and musicians give the most interviews',没有这种软化。
    • LRPoliticians give interviews too, though they tend to sound more rehearsed than, say, a musician chatting casually about a new singleThe phrase 'than, say,' is a natural spoken hedge used to introduce an example mid-sentence, which is more idiomatic than the plainer vocabulary of a 6.5 response. It isn't yet as compact or vivid as the collocations a 7.5 answer would use, though.短语 'than, say,' 是一种自然的口语化缓和语,用来在句中引出一个例子,比6.5回答中更平淡的词汇更地道。不过它还没有7.5答案会用到的搭配那样紧凑或生动。
    • GRAIf there's one thing they share, it's that they all have something to promoteThis is a mildly complex cleft-style construction ('If there's one thing... it's that...') used for emphasis, which goes beyond the simple subject-verb-object sentences typical of 6.5. It still stops short of the more compressed, fronted structures a 7.5 answer would use.这是一个略微复杂的分裂句结构('If there's one thing... it's that...'),用来加强语气,超越了6.5典型的简单主谓宾句子。不过它还没有达到7.5答案会用的那种更压缩、前置的结构。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer opens with a vivid idiom, 'their bread and butter', and closes with an evaluative summary sentence, both signalling more flexible, higher-band language than the 7.0 version.7.5的答案以生动的习语 'their bread and butter' 开头,并以一句评价性的总结句收尾,两者都标志着比7.0版本更灵活、更高水平的语言。

Actors and musicians probably top the list, promoting a new film or album being pretty much their bread and butter. Athletes follow close behind, especially fresh off a big win or tournament victory. Politicians, too, give interviews constantly, though theirs tend to feel noticeably more scripted next to a musician casually chatting about their latest single. Business figures and entrepreneurs, tech founders in particular, have grown far more visible lately, popping up on podcasts to discuss their companies. Even authors occasionally join the circuit when a new book comes out, though far less frequently than the rest. What ties them all together, really, is that every single one has something to sell, whether that's a product, an image, or, in a politician's case, themselves.

    • FCWhat ties them all together, really, is that every single one has something to sellThis closing sentence draws the whole answer to a reflective, evaluative point rather than simply restating information, which shows stronger coherence than a flatter 6.5 or 7.0 ending. Lower bands typically stop at listing examples without this kind of summarising turn.这句结尾把整个答案引向一个反思性、评价性的观点,而不只是简单地重述信息,这展现出比6.5或7.0更平淡的结尾更强的连贯性。较低分数段通常只停留在列举例子,没有这种总结性的转折。
    • LRpromoting a new film or album being pretty much their bread and butterThe idiom 'bread and butter' is a genuinely less-common, idiomatic collocation that a 6.5 or 7.0 answer would be unlikely to risk. It shows confident, natural control of figurative language rather than just safe, literal vocabulary.习语 'bread and butter' 是一个真正少见、地道的搭配,6.5或7.0的答案不太可能冒险使用。它展现出对比喻性语言自信、自然的掌控,而不只是安全、字面化的词汇。
    • GRApromoting a new film or album being pretty much their bread and butterThis is a participial phrase ('promoting... being...') used to compress a whole clause into the middle of the sentence, which is more flexible grammar than the plain independent clauses of the 6.5 answer. A 7.0 answer would more likely split this into two separate sentences instead.这是一个分词短语('promoting... being...'),用来把一整个分句压缩进句子中间,这是一种比6.5答案中平实独立分句更灵活的语法。7.0的答案更可能会把它拆成两个独立的句子。

    6.5 分

The 6.5 answer lists three separate reasons joined by plain connectors like 'Also' and 'Because of this', giving a direct explanation without much elaboration.6.5的答案列出了三个独立的理由,用 'Also' 和 'Because of this' 这样平实的连接词连接,给出了一个直接的解释,没有太多阐述。

I think it's because one careless sentence can follow them for years, especially when video clips get cut and shared online. Some famous people also want to protect their privacy, so they don't want personal things like their family shared everywhere. There is also a risk that journalists change their words to make a better headline. Also, they probably get tired of answering the same questions again and again. Because of this, many celebrities feel nervous about giving interviews.

    查看中文翻译

    我觉得这是因为一句不经意的话可能会跟着他们好几年,尤其是当视频片段被剪辑并在网上传播的时候。有些名人也想保护自己的隐私,所以不希望像家人这样的私事被到处传播。还有一个风险是,记者可能会篡改他们的话,以做出更吸引眼球的标题。另外,他们可能也厌倦了一遍又一遍回答同样的问题。正因如此,很多名人对接受采访感到紧张。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCAlso, they probably get tired of answering the same questions again and again.Starting a new sentence with 'Also' is a very basic way to add a further point, typical of 6.5 organisation. A higher band would more likely link this idea into the surrounding sentence with a subordinate clause instead of starting fresh.用 'Also' 开启一个新句子,是补充观点的一种非常基础的方式,是6.5组织结构的典型。更高分数段更可能会用从句把这个想法连接进周围的句子里,而不是另起一句。
    • LRSome famous people also want to protect their privacyThe phrasing here is plain and direct, using the common verb phrase 'want to protect' rather than a more specific collocation. A 7.5 answer would likely phrase this with a more natural verb choice like 'valuing their privacy'.这里的措辞平实、直接,使用了常见的动词短语 'want to protect',而不是更具体的搭配。7.5的答案很可能会用更自然的动词选择来表达,比如 'valuing their privacy'。
    • GRABecause of this, many celebrities feel nervous about giving interviews. This final sentence is a short, simple cause-effect statement using the basic connector 'Because of this'. It closes the answer safely but plainly, without the more flexible sentence structures a higher band would use to finish.这最后一句是一个简短、简单的因果陈述,用了基础连接词 'Because of this'。它安全但平淡地结束了这个答案,没有用到更高分数段会用来收尾的那种更灵活的句子结构。
    7.0 分

The 7.0 answer uses natural spoken hedges like 'I imagine' and 'To be fair', plus one longer sentence with an inserted comment clause, showing more reflection than the 6.5 version.7.0的答案用了像 'I imagine' 和 'To be fair' 这样自然的口语化缓和语,再加上一个带插入性评论从句的较长句子,展现出比6.5版本更多的反思。

Mainly because a single careless comment can follow someone for years, especially once a clip gets cut and shared out of context online. I imagine that pressure alone would make anyone more cautious. To be fair, privacy matters too — a lot of celebrities don't want personal details, like their family life, turned into headlines. Honestly, answering the same handful of questions in every interview for a decade would probably wear anyone down, regardless of how friendly the interviewer seems. There's also the risk of journalists twisting an answer just to get a punchier headline.

    • FCI imagine that pressure alone would make anyone more cautious. This is a personal, reflective aside rather than a plain factual statement, showing the speaker reasoning aloud. A 6.5 answer would be more likely to simply state the reason directly without this kind of hedged reflection.这是一句个人的、反思性的旁白,而不是平实的事实陈述,展现出说话者在自言自语地思考。6.5的答案更可能会直接陈述理由,而不带这种带缓和语的反思。
    • LRTo be fair, privacy matters too'To be fair' is a natural spoken connector used to introduce a slightly qualifying point, which is more idiomatic than the plain 'Also' used at 6.5. It still isn't as vivid as the figurative language a 7.5 answer would reach for.'To be fair' 是一个自然的口语化连接词,用来引出一个略带限定性的观点,比6.5中平实的 'Also' 更地道。不过它还没有7.5答案会用到的那种比喻性语言那么生动。
    • GRAHonestly, answering the same handful of questions in every interview for a decade would probably wear anyone down, regardless of how friendly the interviewer seemsThis sentence contains an inserted concessive clause ('regardless of how friendly the interviewer seems'), which is a moderately complex structure beyond simple statements. A 6.5 answer would more likely break this into two short separate sentences.这句话包含一个插入的让步从句('regardless of how friendly the interviewer seems'),构成了超越简单陈述的中等复杂度结构。6.5的答案更可能会把它拆成两个简短独立的句子。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer opens with a participial phrase, 'Valuing their privacy,' and uses the vivid phrase 'tabloid fodder', giving it more compact grammar and sharper vocabulary than the 7.0 version.7.5的答案以分词短语 'Valuing their privacy,' 开头,并用了生动的短语 'tabloid fodder',比7.0版本的语法更紧凑、词汇更犀利。

Mostly because a single careless remark can haunt them for years, particularly once it's been clipped and shared out of context online, and that kind of scrutiny would make anyone guarded. Valuing their privacy, plenty of celebrities simply don't want personal matters, family life especially, turned into tabloid fodder. Even a well-meaning joke can be stripped of its context and turned into a controversy overnight. Fielding the same handful of questions in every interview for a decade would wear down even the most patient person, however friendly the interviewer happens to be. There's also the ever-present risk of a journalist twisting an answer for a punchier headline, which understandably leaves some public figures wary of interviews altogether.

    • FCwhich understandably leaves some public figures wary of interviews altogetherThe closing clause adds a small evaluative touch, judging the overall situation rather than just listing another fact. This kind of wrap-up comment is more typical of a 7.5 answer than the plainer final sentence used at 6.5.结尾的分句增添了一处小小的评价色彩,对整体情况做出判断,而不只是罗列另一个事实。这种收尾式的评论更典型地出现在7.5的答案中,而不是6.5中更平淡的结尾句。
    • LRturned into tabloid fodder'Tabloid fodder' is a vivid, slightly idiomatic collocation that goes well beyond the plain vocabulary of 'shared everywhere' used at 6.5. It shows a genuinely less-common word choice used naturally in context.'Tabloid fodder' 是一个生动、略带习语色彩的搭配,远远超越了6.5中使用的平实词汇 'shared everywhere'。它展现出一种真正少见、又能自然融入语境使用的词语选择。
    • GRAValuing their privacy, plenty of celebrities simply don't want personal matters, family life especially, turned into tabloid fodderThis sentence opens with a fronted participial phrase ('Valuing their privacy,') instead of a plain subject-first structure, which is a more flexible, compressed way to begin. A 6.5 or 7.0 answer would more likely just start with 'Some celebrities' or 'A lot of celebrities'.这句话以一个前置的分词短语('Valuing their privacy,')开头,而不是平实的主语在前的结构,这是一种更灵活、更压缩的开头方式。6.5或7.0的答案更可能会直接以 'Some celebrities' 或 'A lot of celebrities' 开头。

    6.5 分

The 6.5 answer gives a direct 'No' opinion, one simple reason about repetitive interviews, and a brief example about a director, linked with plain connectors like 'so' and 'For example'.6.5的答案给出了直接的不这一观点,配上一个关于重复性采访的简单理由,以及一个关于导演的简短例子,用 'so' 和 'For example' 这样平实的连接词连接。

No, I don't think so. Many interviews follow the same pattern — the guest just promotes their project and thanks the fans, so it becomes boring. An interview is more interesting when the interviewer asks something different, or the guest is honest instead of giving rehearsed answers. For example, I once watched a director talk honestly about a film that failed, and that was much more interesting than the usual promotion talk. So it really depends on the people involved.

    不,我不这么认为。很多采访都遵循同样的模式——嘉宾只是宣传自己的项目,感谢粉丝,这就变得很无聊。当采访者问一些不一样的问题,或者嘉宾诚实回答而不是给出排练好的答案时,采访才会变得更有意思。比如我有一次看到一位导演诚实地谈论一部失败的电影,那比通常的宣传话术有意思得多。所以这真的取决于参与其中的人。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCNo, I don't think so.This is a short, direct disagreement stated in the plainest possible way, without any softening or hedging. A 7.0 or 7.5 answer would typically open with a more natural spoken qualifier like 'Not always, honestly' instead.这是一个简短、直接的不同意见,以最平实的方式表达出来,没有任何软化或缓和。7.0或7.5的答案通常会改用更自然的口语化限定语开头,比如 'Not always, honestly'。
    • LRAn interview is more interesting when the interviewer asks something differentThe vocabulary here ('asks something different') is basic and generic rather than precise. A higher band would likely use a more specific verb collocation such as 'ask something unexpected' or 'dare to ask something unexpected'.这里的词汇('asks something different')基础而笼统,不够精确。更高分数段可能会用更具体的动词搭配,比如 'ask something unexpected' 或 'dare to ask something unexpected'。
    • GRAFor example, I once watched a director talk honestly about a film that failed, and that was much more interesting than the usual promotion talk. This example is delivered as one long sentence joined simply with 'and', a basic coordinating structure. A higher band would more likely use a relative clause or a participial phrase to pack the same information more efficiently.这个例子被表达成一个用简单的 'and' 连接的长句,是基础的并列结构。更高分数段更可能会用关系从句或分词短语,更高效地打包同样的信息。
    7.0 分

The 7.0 answer softens its disagreement with 'Not always, honestly' and adds a mild qualifying reflection with 'I'd say', showing more natural spoken hedging than the direct 6.5 opinion.7.0的答案用 'Not always, honestly' 软化了自己的不同意见,并加入了带 'I'd say' 的轻微限定性反思,比6.5直接的观点展现出更自然的口语化缓和语。

Not always, honestly. A lot of interviews follow such a predictable script — promote the project, thank the fans — that they end up fairly forgettable. What makes one genuinely interesting, I'd say, is an interviewer willing to ask something unexpected, or a guest willing to actually be vulnerable instead of reciting rehearsed answers. I remember watching an interview with a director who spoke honestly about a film that had flopped, and that stuck with me far more than the usual promotional chat. So it really depends on both people involved, not just how famous the guest is.

    • FCNot always, honestly.Opening with 'Not always, honestly' is a natural spoken way to soften a disagreement, contrasting with the blunt 'No, I don't think so' used at 6.5. It signals a more conversational, reflective tone typical of band 7.以 'Not always, honestly' 开头,是一种自然的口语化方式来软化不同意见,与6.5中直白的 'No, I don't think so' 形成对比。它传达出一种更对话式、更具反思性的语气,是第7分数段的典型特征。
    • LRthat stuck with me far more than the usual promotional chat'Promotional chat' is a mildly natural collocation that reads more idiomatically than the plainer phrase 'promotion talk' used in the 6.5 answer. It is still fairly restrained compared to the more vivid word choices a 7.5 answer would use.'Promotional chat' 是一个略微自然的搭配,读起来比6.5答案中更平淡的 'promotion talk' 更地道。不过和7.5答案会用到的更生动的用词相比,它依然相当克制。
    • GRAI remember watching an interview with a director who spoke honestly about a film that had flopped, and that stuck with me far more than the usual promotional chat. This sentence uses a relative clause ('who spoke honestly...') plus a past perfect verb ('had flopped') to show sequencing, which is more complex than the simple past tense used throughout the 6.5 answer. It shows control of a moderately complex grammatical structure.这句话用了一个关系从句('who spoke honestly...')加上一个过去完成时动词('had flopped')来表示先后顺序,比6.5答案全篇使用的简单过去时更复杂。它展现出对中等复杂语法结构的掌控。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer uses the idiomatic phrase 'drop the rehearsed persona' and a fronted structure with 'What tends to make one genuinely gripping is...', giving it more vivid, compact phrasing than the 7.0 version.7.5的答案用了地道的短语 'drop the rehearsed persona',以及以 'What tends to make one genuinely gripping is...' 开头的前置结构,比7.0版本的措辞更生动、更紧凑。

Not always, to be honest. Plenty of interviews stick so closely to the same script — plug the project, thank the fans — that they end up thoroughly forgettable. What tends to make one genuinely gripping is an interviewer daring to ask something unexpected, or a guest willing to drop the rehearsed persona and actually be vulnerable. I still remember a director speaking candidly about a film that had flopped and what he'd have done differently, which stuck with me far longer than any amount of promotional small talk. Even a slightly awkward pause can be more revealing than a slick, well-rehearsed answer. It really comes down to both people in the room, not simply the guest's fame.

    • FCIt really comes down to both people in the room, not simply the guest's fame. This closing line delivers a compact, evaluative judgement rather than simply repeating the earlier point, giving the answer a stronger sense of a considered conclusion. A 6.5 answer's ending is more of a flat restatement by comparison.这句结尾传达出一个紧凑、评价性的判断,而不只是简单重复之前的观点,让整个答案更具经过深思熟虑的结论感。相比之下,6.5答案的结尾更像是平铺直叙的重述。
    • LRa guest willing to drop the rehearsed persona and actually be vulnerable'Drop the rehearsed persona' is a genuinely less-common, idiomatic collocation, more vivid than 'giving rehearsed answers' used at 6.5. It shows precise, natural word choice rather than safe, generic vocabulary.'Drop the rehearsed persona' 是一个真正少见、地道的搭配,比6.5中使用的 'giving rehearsed answers' 更生动。它展现出精确、自然的用词,而不是安全、笼统的词汇。
    • GRAWhat tends to make one genuinely gripping is an interviewer daring to ask something unexpected, or a guest willing to drop the rehearsed persona and actually be vulnerable. This sentence is built around a fronted 'What...is' cleft structure, which compresses the main idea into a single flexible construction. A 6.5 answer would more likely express the same idea as two separate, simpler sentences.这句话围绕一个前置的 'What...is' 分裂句结构构建,把主要想法压缩进一个灵活的单一结构里。6.5的答案更可能会把同样的想法表达成两个独立、更简单的句子。

Confidence without arrogance helps too, as does owning your own mistakes rather than pretending to be flawless. Good listening counts for more than people expect, actually answering the question asked instead of reciting a memorised script, and genuine enthusiasm for the specific role tends to shine through regardless. The 6.5 answer gives a balanced opinion, one workplace example, and a simple conclusion, all joined with plain connectors like 'but', 'because', and 'so'.6.5的答案给出了一个平衡的观点、一个职场例子,以及一个简单的结论,全部用 'but'、'because' 和 'so' 这样平实的连接词连接。

They are useful, but I don't think they are enough on their own. An interview shows how someone talks and thinks quickly, but it doesn't show how they will actually work every day. At my studio, we ask candidates to do a short design task as well as the interview, because a good conversation doesn't always mean a good portfolio. Some skilled people interview badly because of nerves, so combining interviews with a task gives a better picture.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCThey are useful, but I don't think they are enough on their own. This is a short, plain opinion sentence using the basic contrast word 'but'. A higher band would more likely open with a more natural adverb like 'certainly' or 'honestly' before making the same contrast.这是一句简短、平实的观点句,用了基础的对比词 'but'。更高分数段更可能会用更自然的副词开头,比如 'certainly' 或 'honestly',然后再做出同样的对比。
    • LRAn interview shows how someone talks and thinks quicklyThe verb choice here, 'talks and thinks quickly', is simple and generic. A higher band would likely use a more precise collocation such as 'communicates and thinks on the spot', which describes the same idea more specifically.这里的动词选择 'talks and thinks quickly' 简单而笼统。更高分数段很可能会用更精确的搭配,比如 'communicates and thinks on the spot',更具体地描述同样的想法。
    • GRASome skilled people interview badly because of nerves, so combining interviews with a task gives a better picture. This final sentence links two ideas with the plain connector 'so', creating a simple cause-and-result structure. A higher band would more likely use a contrastive structure like 'while' to add a second, related point before concluding.这最后一句用平实的连接词 'so' 连接了两个想法,构成了一个简单的因果结构。更高分数段更可能会用像 'while' 这样的对比结构,在下结论之前先加入第二个相关的观点。

The 7.0 answer softens its stance with 'I wouldn't call them sufficient' and adds the natural phrase 'out of nerves', showing slightly more developed phrasing than the plain 6.5 version.7.0的答案用 'I wouldn't call them sufficient' 软化了自己的立场,并加入了自然的短语 'out of nerves',比平实的6.5版本展现出稍微更成熟的措辞。

They're useful, but I wouldn't call them sufficient on their own. An interview shows how someone communicates and thinks on the spot, which does matter for most roles, but it says very little about how they'll actually perform day to day under real pressure. At my studio, we ask candidates to complete a short design task alongside the interview, since a polished conversational answer doesn't always translate into a solid portfolio piece. Some genuinely skilled people simply interview poorly out of nerves, so combining interviews with a practical task gives a more reliable picture.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCThey're useful, but I wouldn't call them sufficient on their own.Phrasing the opinion as 'I wouldn't call them sufficient' is a mild qualifying remark rather than a flat statement like 'I don't think they are enough' at 6.5. This softened, considered phrasing is typical of band 7 fluency.把观点表述成 'I wouldn't call them sufficient',是一种轻微限定性的说法,而不是像6.5中 'I don't think they are enough' 那样平铺直叙的陈述。这种软化、经过斟酌的措辞是第7分数段流利度的典型特征。
    • LRa polished conversational answer doesn't always translate into a solid portfolio piece'Translate into' used here is a moderately natural collocation, more specific than the plain phrase 'doesn't always mean a good portfolio' used at 6.5. It's a step toward the more vivid phrasing a 7.5 answer would use, without being as compact.这里用的 'Translate into' 是一个比较自然的搭配,比6.5中使用的平实短语 'doesn't always mean a good portfolio' 更具体。这是朝着7.5答案会用的更生动措辞迈出的一步,但还没有那么紧凑。
    • GRAAn interview shows how someone communicates and thinks on the spot, which does matter for most roles, but it says very little about how they'll actually perform day to day under real pressure. This sentence contains a non-defining relative clause ('which does matter for most roles') inserted mid-sentence before the main contrast continues. This is a more complex structure than the shorter, separate sentences used at 6.5.这句话包含一个非限定性关系从句('which does matter for most roles'),插入在句子中间,在主要的对比继续之前。这是一种比6.5中使用的更简短独立句子更复杂的结构。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer adds an extra layer of nuance with 'while confident talkers occasionally oversell themselves' and closes with an evaluative summary, showing more developed reasoning than the 7.0 version.7.5的答案用 'while confident talkers occasionally oversell themselves' 增添了一层额外的细腻感,并以一句评价性的总结收尾,比7.0版本展现出更成熟的推理。

Useful, certainly, but I wouldn't call them sufficient on their own. An interview reveals how someone communicates and thinks on the spot, which matters for most roles, yet it says surprisingly little about how they'll perform day to day under real pressure. At my studio, we pair every interview with a short design task, since a polished conversational answer doesn't always translate into a solid portfolio piece. Nerves alone can derail an otherwise brilliant candidate, especially under unfamiliar, high-pressure conditions. Genuinely skilled people can interview poorly purely out of nerves, while confident talkers occasionally oversell themselves. Combining interviews with a practical task, or even a reference check, paints a far more reliable picture overall.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCCombining interviews with a practical task, or even a reference check, paints a far more reliable picture overall. This closing sentence adds a further option ('or even a reference check') before delivering a confident, evaluative conclusion. This layered, judgement-based ending is more typical of band 7.5 than the simpler conclusions used at lower bands.这句结尾在给出一个自信、评价性的结论之前,又加入了一个额外的选项('or even a reference check')。这种有层次、基于判断的结尾更典型地出现在7.5,而不是较低分数段使用的更简单结论。

Not really, no. Genuine interest makes conversation feel more natural, but many interactions, like a doctor's appointment or a work meeting, still work well without personal interest, just through politeness and clear communication. But I do think the best interactions usually happen when there is real interest. For example, a client from overseas once asked me thoughtful questions about Da Nang, not just about the project, and that made the collaboration feel warmer. So interest helps, but it isn't always necessary.

    不完全是,不是的。真正的兴趣会让谈话感觉更自然,但很多互动,比如看医生或开工作会议,即便没有个人兴趣,单靠礼貌和清晰的沟通也能进行得很好。但我确实认为,最好的互动通常发生在存在真正兴趣的时候。比如有一次,一位海外客户问了我一些关于岘港的用心问题,而不只是关于项目本身,这让整个合作感觉更温暖。所以兴趣有帮助,但它并不总是必需的。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCBut I do think the best interactions usually happen when there is real interest.Starting a new sentence with 'But' is a very basic way to introduce a contrasting point. A higher band would more likely connect this idea to the previous sentence using a phrase like 'That said' instead of beginning a fresh sentence.用 'But' 开启一个新句子,是引出对比观点的一种非常基础的方式。更高分数段更可能会用像 'That said' 这样的短语,把这个想法与前一句连接起来,而不是另起一句。
    • LRthat made the collaboration feel warmer'Feel warmer' is a plain, simple description of the effect. A 7.5 answer would likely use a more precise adverb-verb pairing such as 'made the collaboration feel noticeably warmer' to add more nuance.'Feel warmer' 是一个平实、简单的效果描述。7.5的答案很可能会用更精确的副词-动词搭配,比如 'made the collaboration feel noticeably warmer',来增添更多细微差别。
    • GRAFor example, a client from overseas once asked me thoughtful questions about Da Nang, not just about the project, and that made the collaboration feel warmer. This example is expressed as one long sentence joined simply with 'and'. A higher band would more likely restructure this using a semicolon or a relative clause to connect the ideas more smoothly.这个例子被表达成一个用简单的 'and' 连接的长句。更高分数段更可能会用分号或关系从句来重构它,以更顺畅地连接这些想法。
    7.0 分

The 7.0 answer softens its disagreement with 'Not entirely' and 'That said', and uses the natural connector 'while' in its final sentence, showing more developed reasoning than the 6.5 version.7.0的答案用 'Not entirely' 和 'That said' 软化了自己的不同意见,并在最后一句用了自然的连接词 'while',比6.5版本展现出更成熟的推理。

Not entirely, no. Genuine interest obviously makes conversation flow more naturally, but plenty of effective interactions — a doctor's appointment, a work meeting — happen perfectly well through professionalism and clear communication rather than personal curiosity about the other person. That said, I do think the most memorable interactions usually involve real interest; I still remember a client from overseas asking thoughtful follow-up questions about Da Nang rather than just discussing the project, and that made the whole collaboration feel warmer. So while genuine interest certainly deepens a connection, I wouldn't call it an absolute requirement.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCThat said, I do think the most memorable interactions usually involve real interest'That said' is a natural spoken transition used to pivot back toward a qualifying point, replacing the more basic 'But' used to start a sentence at 6.5. This shows smoother, more connected reasoning.'That said' 是一种自然的口语化转折,用来转回一个限定性的观点,取代了6.5中用来开启句子的更基础的 'But'。这展现出更顺畅、更连贯的推理。
    • LRplenty of effective interactions — a doctor's appointment, a work meeting — happen perfectly well through professionalism and clear communicationThe phrase 'happen perfectly well through professionalism' is a more developed collocation than the plainer 'still work well without personal interest' used at 6.5. It shows slightly more natural, precise word choice.短语 'happen perfectly well through professionalism' 是一个比6.5中使用的更平淡的 'still work well without personal interest' 更成熟的搭配。它展现出稍微更自然、更精确的用词选择。
    • GRASo while genuine interest certainly deepens a connection, I wouldn't call it an absolute requirement. This final sentence uses the subordinating conjunction 'while' to combine a concession and a main conclusion into a single sentence. 7.5 分

The 7.5 answer uses the idiomatic closing phrase 'seems like a stretch' and inserts an extra reflective aside, 'in my experience', giving it more vivid and natural phrasing than the 7.0 version.7.5的答案用了地道的结尾短语 'seems like a stretch',并插入了一处额外的反思性旁白 'in my experience',比7.0版本的措辞更生动、更自然。

Not entirely, no. Genuine interest obviously smooths conversation along, but plenty of effective interactions — a doctor's appointment, a work meeting — run perfectly well on professionalism and clear communication rather than any real curiosity about the other person. A stranger giving clear directions on the street is a good example of this. That said, the most memorable interactions, in my experience, tend to involve genuine interest; I still recall an overseas client asking thoughtful follow-up questions about Da Nang rather than sticking rigidly to the project, which made the whole collaboration feel noticeably warmer. So while interest certainly deepens a connection, treating it as an absolute requirement seems like a stretch.

    • FCtreating it as an absolute requirement seems like a stretchThis closing phrase delivers a confident, slightly understated final judgement rather than a plain restatement of the position. This kind of idiomatic, evaluative closing touch is more typical of band 7.5 than the flatter endings at lower bands.这个结尾短语传达出一个自信、略带含蓄的最终判断,而不只是平实地重述立场。这种地道、评价性的收尾手法更典型地出现在7.5,而不是较低分数段更平淡的结尾。
    • LRtreating it as an absolute requirement seems like a stretch'Seems like a stretch' is a genuinely less-common, idiomatic collocation meaning something is hard to justify, well beyond the plain phrasing 'isn't always necessary' used at 6.5. It shows confident, natural control of figurative language.'Seems like a stretch' 是一个真正少见、地道的搭配,意思是某事很难说得通,远远超越了6.5中使用的平实措辞 'isn't always necessary'。它展现出对比喻性语言自信、自然的掌控。
    • GRAThat said, the most memorable interactions, in my experience, tend to involve genuine interest; I still recall an overseas client asking thoughtful follow-up questions about Da Nang rather than sticking rigidly to the projectThis sentence uses a semicolon to join two closely related clauses into one flexible unit, along with an inserted aside ('in my experience'). A 6.5 answer would more likely present these as two or three separate, simpler sentences.这句话用分号把两个紧密相关的分句连接成一个灵活的单元,还带有一个插入的旁白('in my experience')。6.5的答案更可能会把它们表达成两三个独立、更简单的句子。

The 6.5 answer gives a direct opinion, one simple workplace example, and a brief final point about video calls, joined with plain connectors like 'because' and 'even'.6.5的答案给出了一个直接的观点、一个简单的职场例子,以及一个关于视频通话的简短收尾观点,用 'because' 和 'even' 这样平实的连接词连接。

I think body language is very important, sometimes even more than the actual words. Eye contact and posture can change how a sentence sounds, even a polite one can feel unfriendly if someone crosses their arms. As a designer, I notice this in client meetings — if a client leans forward and nods, it tells me more than their polite comments. Video calls make this harder too, because you can't see body language clearly on a small screen.

    我觉得肢体语言非常重要,有时候甚至比实际说出来的话还重要。眼神交流和姿态能改变一句话给人的感觉,哪怕是一句礼貌的话,如果对方双臂交叉,也可能让人感觉不友好。作为设计师,我在客户会议中经常注意到这一点——如果客户前倾身体、点头,这比他们礼貌的评论更能告诉我真实情况。视频通话也让这一点变得更难,因为在小屏幕上没法清楚地看到肢体语言。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCI think body language is very important, sometimes even more than the actual words. This opening sentence states the opinion plainly and directly with 'I think', without any spoken softening. A higher band would more likely open with a natural adverb like 'Honestly' before making the same point.这个开头句用 'I think' 平实、直接地陈述了观点,没有任何口语化的软化。更高分数段更可能会用像 'Honestly' 这样的自然副词开头,然后再表达同样的观点。

Very important, honestly, sometimes more than the actual words being said. Eye contact, posture and tone can completely change how a sentence lands — even a perfectly polite one delivered with crossed arms can feel dismissive. As a designer, I notice this constantly in client meetings; a client leaning forward and nodding tells me far more about whether they actually like a concept than their careful, diplomatic wording does. Video calls have made this trickier too, since a lot of subtle body language gets lost through a small screen, which occasionally causes misunderstandings that wouldn't happen face to face.

Hugely important, honestly, sometimes outweighing the actual words being said. Eye contact, posture and tone can completely transform how a sentence lands, with even a perfectly polite remark feeling dismissive once it's delivered with crossed arms. Client meetings bring this home constantly for me as a designer; a client leaning forward and nodding tells me far more about whether they genuinely like a concept than their carefully diplomatic wording ever could. Video calls have only complicated matters, since so much subtle body language gets lost through a small screen, occasionally sparking misunderstandings that would never arise face to face. Reading these cues well really does shape how smoothly things go.

I think it would be quite damaging, even though I use AI tools like ChatGPT a lot for work. AI can answer questions quickly, but it can't really understand emotions like a real friend can, for example noticing you're upset without you saying anything. People might also lose patience for real relationships, because AI never gets tired or argues back. Skills like reading body language could also get worse from lack of practice. So using AI alongside people is fine, but replacing people completely would make society lonelier.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCI think it would be quite damaging, even though I use AI tools like ChatGPT a lot for work. This opening sentence states the opinion and the personal detail plainly, joined with the basic connector 'even though'. A higher band would more likely open with a shorter, more natural-sounding phrase like 'Fairly damaging, I suspect' instead of a full formal sentence.这个开头句用基础连接词 'even though' 平实地把观点和个人细节连接起来。更高分数段更可能会用像 'Fairly damaging, I suspect' 这样更简短、听起来更自然的短语开头,而不是一个完整的正式句子。
    • LRSkills like reading body language could also get worse from lack of practice.'Get worse' is a very plain, general verb choice here. A higher band would likely use a more precise, less common verb such as one meaning to weaken gradually through disuse, instead of the generic 'get worse'.这里的 'Get worse' 是一个非常平实、笼统的动词选择。更高分数段很可能会用一个更精确、更少见的动词,比如表示因不用而逐渐弱化的词,而不是笼统的 'get worse'。

I think it would be fairly damaging, honestly, even though I use AI tools like ChatGPT constantly for work. AI can answer questions efficiently, but it can't really replicate the unpredictability of a genuine conversation, the kind where a friend notices you're upset before you've even said anything. I worry it could weaken people's patience for the messiness of real relationships, since AI never gets tired, disagrees stubbornly, or needs comforting in return. Basic social skills, like reading body language, might also decline from lack of practice. Used alongside human interaction it's genuinely useful, but replacing it entirely would leave society noticeably lonelier.

    • FCI worry it could weaken people's patience for the messiness of real relationshipsFraming the point as a personal worry ('I worry it could') is a more natural, reflective way to introduce a concern than the plain statement 'People might also lose patience' used at 6.5. It shows a slightly more developed, spoken-style register.把这个观点表述成一种个人的担忧('I worry it could'),比6.5中使用的平实陈述 'People might also lose patience' 是一种更自然、更具反思性的引出方式。它展现出稍微更成熟的口语化语域。
    • LRit can't really replicate the unpredictability of a genuine conversation'Replicate the unpredictability' is a more precise, natural collocation than the plainer phrase 'understand emotions' used at 6.5 to describe the same limitation. It shows a step toward more specific, natural vocabulary.'Replicate the unpredictability' 是一个比6.5中用来描述同一局限性时使用的更平淡的短语 'understand emotions' 更精确、更自然的搭配。它展现出朝更具体、更自然的词汇迈出的一步。
    • GRAsince AI never gets tired, disagrees stubbornly, or needs comforting in returnThis sentence uses a list of three parallel verb phrases joined within a single 'since' clause, showing controlled use of parallel structure. A 6.5 answer would more likely state only one of these reasons in a short separate sentence.这句话用了一个包含三个并列动词短语的列表,连接在一个单一的 'since' 从句里,展现出对并列结构的把控能力。6.5的答案更可能只会在一个简短独立的句子里陈述其中一个理由。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer opens with the vivid verb 'clocks' and uses a semicolon plus a fronted phrase in its final sentence, giving it more compact and idiomatic phrasing than the 7.0 version.7.5的答案以生动的动词 'clocks' 开头,并在最后一句用了分号加前置短语,比7.0版本的措辞更紧凑、更地道。

Fairly damaging, I suspect, even though I lean on AI tools like ChatGPT constantly for work. AI can answer questions with impressive efficiency, but it can't replicate the sheer unpredictability of a genuine exchange, the kind where a friend clocks that you're upset before you've said a word. What worries me is that it could erode people's tolerance for the messiness of real relationships, given that AI never tires, never disagrees stubbornly, and never needs comforting in return. Basic social skills, reading body language, navigating an awkward disagreement, would likely atrophy from sheer lack of practice. Woven alongside human interaction, AI is genuinely useful; replacing it outright would leave society markedly lonelier.

    • FCWhat worries me is that it could erode people's tolerance for the messiness of real relationshipsOpening the sentence with the cleft structure 'What worries me is that' foregrounds the speaker's concern before the content, creating a more considered, reflective tone. A 6.5 or 7.0 answer would more likely place 'I worry' at the very start without this fronted emphasis.用分裂句结构 'What worries me is that' 开启句子,把说话者的担忧放在内容之前突出出来,营造出一种更经过深思熟虑的、反思性的语气。6.5或7.0的答案更可能会直接把 'I worry' 放在最开头,没有这种前置的强调。
    • LRthe kind where a friend clocks that you're upset before you've said a word'Clocks' used to mean 'notices' is a genuinely less-common, informal-idiomatic word choice, more vivid than the plain verb 'notices' used at 6.5 and 7.0. It shows confident, natural control of colloquial vocabulary.'Clocks' 在这里用来表示注意到,是一个真正少见、非正式且带习语色彩的用词选择,比6.5和7.0中使用的平实动词 'notices' 更生动。它展现出对口语化词汇自信、自然的掌控。
    • GRAWoven alongside human interaction, AI is genuinely useful; replacing it outright would leave society markedly lonelier. This final sentence opens with a fronted participial phrase ('Woven alongside human interaction,') and then uses a semicolon to join a second, contrasting clause, compressing two ideas into one flexible sentence. A 6.5 answer would more likely express this as two separate sentences joined loosely with 'So' and 'but'.这最后一句以一个前置的分词短语('Woven alongside human interaction,')开头,然后用分号连接了第二个对比性的分句,把两个想法压缩进一个灵活的句子里。6.5的答案更可能会把它表达成两个用 'So' 和 'but' 松散连接的独立句子。

I think people who are experts or famous usually get interviewed. For example, last month I watched a livestream interview with Ms. Linh, an architect in Da Nang. She talked about sustainable design and using recycled materials in buildings near My Khe Beach. She also mentioned some problems with city rules. This kind of person, who knows a lot about their job, often gets interviewed. Of course, celebrities and politicians are interviewed a lot too, but I think experts like teachers or business owners give more useful information.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCFor exampleThe bare 'For example' opener simply announces the story without weaving it into the argument; 7.0 keeps the same signal but attaches it to a longer clause, and 7.5 drops the signpost entirely, opening with 'Take last month' instead.单纯的 'For example' 开头只是宣告故事的开始,没有把它编织进论证里;7.0保留了同样的信号词,但把它附加到一个更长的分句上,而7.5则完全去掉了这个提示词,改用 'Take last month' 开头。
    • LRgive more useful information'give more useful information' is plain, functional vocabulary; 7.0 upgrades this to 'offer the most value', and 7.5 sharpens it further into 'something worth hearing, rather than just something worth quoting', a more idiomatic contrast.'give more useful information' 是平实、功能性的词汇;7.0把它升级为 'offer the most value',7.5则进一步锐化成 'something worth hearing, rather than just something worth quoting',形成一种更地道的对比。
    • GRAThis kind of person, who knows a lot about their job, often gets interviewed. This short relative-clause sentence states the idea plainly and separately; 7.0 folds a similar idea into a longer sentence with 'that kind of specialist knowledge tends to draw a lot of attention', and 7.5 compresses it even further into a compact noun phrase.这个简短的关系从句句子平实、独立地陈述了这个想法;7.0把类似的想法融合进一个更长的句子里,用 'that kind of specialist knowledge tends to draw a lot of attention',而7.5则进一步把它压缩成一个紧凑的名词短语。

Honestly, I'd say it's mostly experts and achievers who get interviewed most often, rather than just anyone famous. For example, last month I watched a livestream where Ms. Linh, a local architect in Da Nang, was interviewed about sustainable design, and she explained how she uses recycled materials in buildings near My Khe Beach while dealing with strict city regulations. That kind of specialist knowledge tends to draw a lot of attention. To be fair, celebrities and politicians still get plenty of airtime, but I'd argue it's people with real, practical expertise - like educators or business founders - who actually offer the most value.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHonestly, I'd sayThe combined hedge 'Honestly, I'd say' at the very start is more natural spoken English than 6.5's absence of hedging; 7.5 goes further, dropping the stand-alone hedge and folding the stance into the sentence structure itself.开头处组合的缓和语 'Honestly, I'd say' 比6.5中完全没有缓和语的表达更接近自然的口语英语;7.5更进一步,去掉了独立的缓和语,把立场直接融进句子结构本身。
    • LRspecialist knowledge'specialist knowledge' is more precise than 6.5's vague 'knows a lot about their job'; 7.5 develops the same idea into the more vivid 'hard-won, practical insight', adding an extra evaluative layer.'specialist knowledge' 比6.5中含糊的 'knows a lot about their job' 更精确;7.5把同样的想法发展成更生动的 'hard-won, practical insight',增添了一层额外的评价色彩。
    • GRAshe explained how she uses recycled materials in buildings near My Khe Beach while dealing with strict city regulationsThe 'while' clause tucked onto the end adds the one moderately complex sentence expected at 7.0; 7.5 restructures a similar idea around a dash, 'she spoke candidly about wrestling recycled materials into buildings... navigating red tape along the way', for tighter, more vivid grammar.结尾处附加的 'while' 从句,构成了7.0水平所要求的那种中等复杂度句子;7.5则围绕破折号重新组织了类似的想法,'she spoke candidly about wrestling recycled materials into buildings... navigating red tape along the way',语法更紧凑、更生动。

In my experience, it's specialists and high-achievers, rather than fame alone, that dominate the interview circuit. Take last month, when I caught a livestream featuring Ms. Linh, a Da Nang architect discussing sustainable design - she spoke candidly about wrestling recycled materials into buildings near My Khe Beach, navigating red tape along the way. That kind of hard-won, practical insight is what tends to hook an audience. Celebrities and politicians are, of course, interview staples, but honestly, they often recycle the same rehearsed talking points. Give me an educator, a founder, or an artist any day - people who've actually done the work usually have something worth hearing, rather than just something worth quoting.

    • FCTake last month, when I caught a livestreamDropping any explicit signpost like 'for example' and moving straight into 'Take last month, when...' is a more fluent, native-like way of introducing an example than the formulaic openers used at 6.5 and 7.0.去掉像 'for example' 这样明确的提示词,直接进入 'Take last month, when...',这是一种比6.5和7.0所用的公式化开头更流畅、更接近母语者的引出例子的方式。
    • LRdominate the interview circuit'dominate the interview circuit' is a vivid, idiomatic collocation well beyond 6.5's plain 'usually get interviewed' and 7.0's 'get interviewed most often', showing genuine range in lexical resource.'dominate the interview circuit' 是一个生动、地道的搭配,远远超越了6.5中平实的 'usually get interviewed' 和7.0的 'get interviewed most often',展现出真正的词汇广度。
    • GRApeople who've actually done the work usually have something worth hearing, rather than just something worth quotingThis parallel 'worth hearing... worth quoting' construction inside one flexible sentence is more rhetorically ambitious than the plainer closing statements in 6.5 and 7.0, giving the answer an evaluative final beat.这个在一个灵活句子里并列的 'worth hearing... worth quoting' 结构,比6.5和7.0中更平淡的结尾陈述更具修辞野心,给整个答案带来了评价性的收尾节拍。

I think some famous people don't like being interviewed because it can feel too personal. For example, I watched an online interview with the singer Ha Anh Tuan on a talk show last year. At first he looked relaxed, but when the host asked about his private life and family, he became uncomfortable and gave short answers. I think he wanted to talk about his music instead. To be honest, I can understand this. Being famous means people always want to know about your private life, and that must be tiring.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCFor exampleAt 6.5 'For example' is a blunt, formulaic signal to introduce the story, doing the job but nothing more; a 7.0 answer softens this into 'For instance' woven into a longer lead-in, and 7.5 drops the signpost altogether and lets the story open the sentence on its own.在6.5中,'For example' 是一个直白、公式化的信号词,用来引出故事,能完成任务但仅此而已;7.0的答案把它软化成融入更长引导句里的 'For instance',而7.5则完全去掉了这个提示词,让故事本身直接开启句子。
    • LRtoo personal'too personal' is basic, everyday vocabulary that gets the point across without precision; 7.0 upgrades this to 'invasive... personal territory', and 7.5 sharpens it further into 'drifts from their work into their private life', which is more evaluative and idiomatic.'too personal' 是基础、日常的词汇,能传达意思但不够精确;7.0把它升级为 'invasive... personal territory',7.5则进一步锐化为 'drifts from their work into their private life',更具评价性、更地道。
    • GRAhe became uncomfortable and gave short answersThis is a simple compound sentence joined by 'and', typical of 6.5 control; 7.0 embeds this as a subordinate clause after 'as soon as', and 7.5 compresses it further with a dash and a vivid verb - 'visibly stiffened' - showing more flexible sentence control.这是一个用 'and' 连接的简单并列句,是6.5典型的语言控制水平;7.0把它嵌入到 'as soon as' 之后的从句里,而7.5则用破折号和生动的动词 'visibly stiffened' 进一步压缩,展现出更灵活的句子控制能力。

Honestly, I think some celebrities dislike interviews because the questions can feel quite invasive, especially once they move into personal territory. For instance, I remember watching an interview with the singer Ha Anh Tuan on a talk show last year - he seemed relaxed at first, but as soon as the host brought up his private life and family, he clearly grew uncomfortable and started giving much shorter answers. I'd say he probably would have preferred to keep talking about his music or upcoming projects. To be fair, I can understand it - being under constant public scrutiny sounds exhausting, and not everyone wants their personal life picked apart for entertainment.

    • FCTo be fair'To be fair' is a natural spoken hedge that 6.5 answers rarely use, replacing the flatter 6.5 phrasing 'To be honest'; it signals the speaker weighing two sides, a feature that becomes even more compressed and assumed, rather than announced, at 7.5.'To be fair' 是一种自然的口语化缓和语,6.5的答案很少使用,它取代了6.5中更平淡的 'To be honest';它显示出说话者在权衡两方面的意见,这个特点在7.5中变得更加压缩,也更多是隐含的而非明说的。
    • LRpublic scrutiny'public scrutiny' is more precise than 6.5's plain 'people always want to know', though still a fairly common collocation; 7.5 pushes further into a more original image with 'picked apart' rather than relying on a set phrase.'public scrutiny' 比6.5中平实的 'people always want to know' 更精确,不过依然是一个相当常见的搭配;7.5则进一步用 'picked apart' 这种更有原创性的画面感表达,而不是依赖固定短语。
    • GRAespecially once they move into personal territoryThis subordinate clause with 'once' shows the one moderately complex sentence expected at 7.0, going beyond 6.5's short separate sentences but stopping short of 7.5's more compact, dash-and-participle constructions.这个用 'once' 引导的从句展现出7.0水平所要求的那种中等复杂度句子,超越了6.5那种简短独立的句子,但还没有达到7.5那种更紧凑、用破折号加分词构成的结构。

I think discomfort sets in for a lot of famous people the moment an interview drifts from their work into their private life. I remember an interview with the singer Ha Anh Tuan on a talk show last year, where he was perfectly at ease discussing music, but visibly stiffened the instant the host steered things toward his family - his answers shrank to a few clipped words, and you could tell he'd rather have been talking about almost anything else. To be fair, I can sympathise: living under constant public scrutiny, where every detail gets dissected for entertainment, must wear a person down eventually, however used to fame they've become.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCTo be fair, I can sympathiseThe hedge and stance verb are fused into one clause rather than announced as a separate sentence, which is more economical than 7.0's 'To be fair, I can understand it - being...' and far more compact than 6.5's separated 'To be honest. I can understand this.'缓和语和表达立场的动词被融合进同一个分句,而不是作为独立句子单独宣告出来,这比7.0中的 'To be fair, I can understand it - being...' 更经济,也比6.5中分开的 'To be honest. I can understand this.' 紧凑得多。
    • LRvisibly stiffened'visibly stiffened' is a precise, almost literary verb choice replacing the generic 6.5 phrase 'became uncomfortable' and 7.0's 'clearly grew uncomfortable', showing the kind of vivid, slightly idiomatic phrasing that marks 7.5 lexical resource.'visibly stiffened' 是一个精确、近乎文学化的动词选择,取代了6.5中笼统的 'became uncomfortable' 和7.0的 'clearly grew uncomfortable',展现出7.5词汇资源中那种生动、略带习语色彩的表达。
    • GRAhowever used to fame they've becomeThis concessive clause tucked onto the end of a long sentence shows flexible, compact grammar rarely attempted at 6.5 or even 7.0, where such an idea would likely need its own separate sentence.这个附加在长句末尾的让步从句,展现出6.5甚至7.0都很少尝试的灵活、紧凑的语法——在那两个分数段里,这样的想法很可能需要单独成句。

In a small way, that's what interviews do best: they turn public figures back into real people, and every so often they crack open bigger conversations about success, failure, or mental health that a formal statement never could.

    • FCI think, precisely becauseInserting 'I think' mid-sentence rather than as its own clause shows a more fluent, native-like rhythm than 6.5 or 7.0, where hedges tend to sit at the very start of a sentence as a separate unit.把 'I think' 插入句子中间,而不是作为独立分句,展现出比6.5或7.0更流畅、更接近母语者的节奏感——在那两个分数段里,缓和语往往作为独立单位放在句首。
    • LRcut through the polished, official image'cut through' is a vivid, idiomatic verb choice replacing the plainer 6.5 phrase 'real thoughts, not just official information' and 7.0's 'direct access to people's real thoughts'; it does more evaluative work in fewer words.'cut through' 是一个生动、地道的动词选择,取代了6.5中更平淡的短语 'real thoughts, not just official information' 和7.0的 'direct access to people's real thoughts';它用更少的词做了更多评价性的工作。

Opens the concession with its own short sentence, 'Of course, interviews can be stressful...', kept separate from the following clause.用独立的短句 'Of course, interviews can be stressful...' 开启这段让步,与后面的分句分开呈现。

I think interviews matter in hiring because they let employers see the real person, not just words on a CV. For example, when I applied for my UI designer job, the manager Minh asked me to talk through a design problem I had solved before. That conversation showed more about how I work than my portfolio did. Of course, interviews can be stressful, and some people are not good at talking about themselves, but I still think it is the best way to judge if someone fits the team.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCOf course,'Of course,' opening its own short sentence is a basic concession marker; 7.0 embeds a similar idea within a longer flowing sentence using 'To be fair... but honestly,', and 7.5 compresses the concession into a subordinate clause instead.'Of course,' 独立开启一个短句,是一种基础的让步标记;7.0把类似的想法嵌入到一个更长的流畅句子里,用 'To be fair... but honestly,',而7.5则把让步压缩进一个从句里。
    • LRsee the real person'see the real person' is generic, everyday phrasing; 7.0's 'the person behind the CV' is a slightly more polished collocation, and 7.5's 'reveal the person a CV can only gesture at' is a more original, idiomatic image.'see the real person' 是笼统、日常的表达;7.0的 'the person behind the CV' 是一个略微更精致的搭配,而7.5的 'reveal the person a CV can only gesture at' 则是一种更具原创性、更地道的画面表达。
    • GRAThat conversation showed more about how I work than my portfolio did. This is a clear but simple comparative sentence; 7.0 extends it with 'ever could' for extra emphasis, and 7.5 restructures it into a longer sentence with a dash and a numerical contrast for more rhetorical flourish.这是一个清晰但简单的比较句;7.0用 'ever could' 延伸了它以加强强调语气,而7.5则用破折号和数字对比把它重构成一个更长的句子,增添了修辞上的华彩。

Links the concession and conclusion into one flowing sentence with 'but honestly,' rather than treating them as separate sentences.用 'but honestly,' 把让步和结论连接进一个流畅的句子里,而不是把它们当作独立的句子处理。

I think interviews are essential in hiring because they let employers see the person behind the CV, which only shows qualifications and experience on paper. For example, when I applied for my current UI designer job, the studio manager, Minh, asked me to talk through a design challenge I'd handled before and explain my thinking. That conversation revealed more about how I actually work than my portfolio ever could. To be fair, interviews can be stressful, and not everyone is confident at selling themselves, but honestly, it's still the most direct way to judge whether someone will genuinely fit the team.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCTo be fair,The hedge 'To be fair,' at 7.0 softens the concession about interviews being stressful, a more natural spoken marker than 6.5's blunter 'Of course,'; 7.5 achieves the same softening without any stand-alone hedge, folding it into 'can undoubtedly be'.7.0中的缓和语 'To be fair,' 软化了关于面试压力大这一让步,比6.5中更直白的 'Of course,' 更接近自然的口语标记;7.5则不用任何独立的缓和语就实现了同样的软化效果,把它融进了 'can undoubtedly be'。
    • LRrevealed more about how I actually work'revealed' and 'actually work' add a touch of precision over 6.5's plain 'showed... how I work'; 7.5 pushes this further with the more vivid 'told him more in ten minutes than my portfolio managed in ten pages'.'revealed' 和 'actually work' 比6.5中平实的 'showed... how I work' 多了一点精确度;7.5则用更生动的 'told him more in ten minutes than my portfolio managed in ten pages' 进一步推进了这一点。

Interviews earn their place in hiring, I think, because they reveal the person a CV can only gesture at - qualifications and experience on paper, nothing about attitude or how someone actually thinks under pressure. When I applied for my current UI designer job, for instance, the studio manager, Minh, had me talk through a design challenge I'd once wrestled with, walking him through my reasoning rather than just the finished result - that exchange told him more in ten minutes than my portfolio managed in ten pages. Interviews can undoubtedly be nerve-wracking, and plenty of capable people simply aren't good at selling themselves, but for all their flaws, they remain the most direct way to judge whether someone will actually fit the team.

I think the first step to get a job interview is having a good, up-to-date CV and online profile, especially for jobs like design or tech. For example, when my friend Ha was looking for a job last year, she spent a week updating her portfolio on Behance and LinkedIn before she applied anywhere. She also contacted people she knew from university who already worked at companies she liked, just to get some advice. I think networking is almost as important as having good skills. Of course, some people get lucky with a random application, but usually a personal connection really helps.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCOf course,The isolated 'Of course,' at the start of its own sentence is typical of 6.5's cautious, one-idea-at-a-time style; 7.0 keeps the same word but folds it into a longer sentence, and 7.5 drops it for the more casual 'occasionally land, of course' placed mid-sentence.独立放在句首的 'Of course,' 是6.5那种谨慎、一次只表达一个想法风格的典型;7.0保留了同一个词,但把它融进了一个更长的句子里,而7.5则去掉了它,改用放在句中、更随意的 'occasionally land, of course'。
    • LRgood skills'good skills' is vague, general vocabulary; 7.0's 'the right skills' is marginally more precise, while 7.5's 'raw skill' is a more idiomatic, evaluative choice.'good skills' 是含糊、笼统的词汇;7.0的 'the right skills' 稍微更精确一些,而7.5的 'raw skill' 则是一个更地道、更具评价性的选择。
    • GRAShe also contacted people she knew from university who already worked at companies she liked, just to get some advice. This sentence stacks two relative clauses in a straightforward chain typical of 6.5; 7.0 adds a participle, and 7.5 compresses it further into a more vivid, economical structure.这句话把两个关系从句直接串联在一起,是6.5的典型结构;7.0又加入了一个分词,而7.5则进一步把它压缩成一个更生动、更经济的结构。

Of course, people sometimes get lucky with a cold application, but from what I've seen, a personal connection or solid recommendation really does increase your chances.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHonestly,'Honestly,' opening its own sentence is a natural spoken hedge that 6.5 tends to avoid; 7.5 achieves a similar effect without a stand-alone hedge, burying it mid-sentence as 'networking, honestly, seems to matter'.独立成句开头的 'Honestly,' 是6.5往往会回避的自然口语化缓和语;7.5则不用独立的缓和语就实现了类似的效果,把它埋进句中,变成 'networking, honestly, seems to matter'。
    • LRsolid online presence'solid online presence' is a step up from 6.5's plain 'online profile', though still a fairly standard collocation; 7.5 replaces it with the more vivid 'genuinely polished online presence... a portfolio speaks louder than a resume ever could'.'solid online presence' 比6.5中平实的 'online profile' 更进一步,不过依然是一个相当标准的搭配;7.5则用更生动的 'genuinely polished online presence... a portfolio speaks louder than a resume ever could' 取代了它。
    • GRAshe spent a week polishing her portfolio on Behance and LinkedIn before applying anywhere, and she also reached out to university contacts already working at companies she admired, just to get some inside adviceThis long sentence joins two clauses with 'and', the one moderately complex sentence expected at 7.0; 7.5 splits similar content into two more compact sentences with sharper verbs instead of relying on a simple coordinator.这个长句用 'and' 连接了两个分句,构成了7.0水平所要求的那种中等复杂度句子;7.5则把类似的内容拆成两个更紧凑的句子,用更犀利的动词,而不是依赖简单的并列连词。

Getting a job interview these days, I'd say, starts with a strong CV and a genuinely polished online presence - especially in fields like mine, design and tech, where a portfolio speaks louder than a resume ever could. My friend Ha, for instance, spent a whole week last year overhauling her Behance and LinkedIn before submitting a single application, then quietly reached out to old university contacts already working at companies she admired, just fishing for inside advice. Networking, honestly, seems to matter just as much as raw skill nowadays. Cold applications occasionally land, of course, but from what I've seen, it's the personal connection or a solid recommendation that tips the odds decisively in your favour.

    • LRfishing for inside advice'fishing for inside advice' is a colourful, idiomatic phrase replacing the plainer 6.5 phrase 'to get some advice' and 7.0's 'to get some inside advice', adding a slightly playful, evaluative tone.'fishing for inside advice' 是一个生动有趣、地道的短语,取代了6.5中更平淡的 'to get some advice' 和7.0的 'to get some inside advice',增添了一丝俏皮的评价语气。
    • GRAa portfolio speaks louder than a resume ever couldThis compact comparative clause tucked inside a longer sentence shows the flexible grammar of 7.5; a 6.5 or 7.0 answer would more likely state this as a separate, plainer sentence.这个紧凑的比较从句被塞进一个更长的句子里,展现出7.5的灵活语法;6.5或7.0的答案更可能会把它作为一个独立、更平淡的句子来表达。

    为什么是这个分数

When the interview day came, she was pretty nervous, but she still managed to explain her design process and show genuine enthusiasm. I also practised explaining my past projects in simple language, because the interview panel included someone from HR, not only designers. Uses the connector 'Besides that,' for variety instead of repeating 'I also', the pattern 6.5 relies on.使用连接词 'Besides that,' 来增加变化,而不是像6.5那样依赖重复 'I also'。

I think preparing for a job interview involves a mix of practical steps and a bit of self-reflection. For example, when I applied for my current UI designer position in Da Nang, I didn't just review common interview questions - I also spent a couple of evenings researching the company's recent app launches and exploring their Dribbble portfolio, which helped me tailor my answers to their design style. Besides that, I practised explaining my past projects in clear, non-technical language, since the panel included someone from HR rather than just designers. Honestly, I'd say it's also worth doing a short mock interview with a friend, just to get comfortable speaking under pressure.

    • FCBesides that,'Besides that,' is a natural, slightly more varied connector than 6.5's repeated 'I also'; 7.5 removes the connector entirely and lets 'I also drilled myself on' carry the transition through verb choice alone.'Besides that,' 是一个自然、稍微更有变化的连接词,比6.5中重复的 'I also' 更丰富;7.5则完全去掉了连接词,只靠 'I also drilled myself on' 这个动词选择本身来承担转折。

Places the hedge 'If I'm honest,' at the start of the final sentence for natural, conversational timing rather than announcing it earlier.把缓和语 'If I'm honest,' 放在最后一句的开头,营造出自然、对话式的时机感,而不是提前就宣告出来。

Preparing well for a job interview, in my experience, is part homework and part honest self-reflection. When I applied for my current UI designer position at a studio here in Da Nang, I went beyond the usual bank of common questions and spent a couple of evenings digging into the company's recent app launches and their Dribbble portfolio, which let me tailor my answers to sound genuinely informed about their design style rather than generically enthusiastic. I also drilled myself on explaining past projects in plain, non-technical language, since the panel included an HR representative alongside the designers. If I'm honest, a short mock interview with a friend is worth its weight in gold too - nothing exposes a shaky explanation quite like saying it out loud to another person.

    • FCIf I'm honest,Placed at the start of the final sentence rather than announced early, this hedge lands with more natural, conversational timing than 6.5 and 7.0's earlier, more predictable hedge placement.这个缓和语被放在最后一句的开头,而不是提前宣告,这种时机安排比6.5和7.0更早、更可预测的缓和语位置更自然、更具对话感。

Uses the plain intensifier 'very important' rather than a more idiomatic evaluative phrase.使用了平实的强调语 'very important',而不是更地道的评价性短语。

I think practising before a job interview is very important because it helps you organise your thoughts and answer more confidently. For example, a few years ago, I helped my friend Phuong prepare for a graphic design job interview at a studio near Tran Phu street. We practised mock interviews for a few evenings, taking turns asking hard questions about portfolio work and teamwork. By the time her real interview came, she said she felt much calmer and could explain her creative process clearly instead of going blank. Even though every interview is different, this kind of preparation can really help.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCFor example,The plain 'For example,' opener at 6.5 does its job with no elaboration; 7.0 keeps it but links it directly into a longer sentence with 'and', and 7.5 restructures the opening entirely around 'I'd argue', removing the formulaic example marker.6.5中平实的 'For example,' 开头能完成任务但没有任何阐述;7.0保留了它,但用 'and' 把它直接连接进一个更长的句子里,而7.5则完全围绕 'I'd argue' 重构了开头,去掉了公式化的例子标记词。

Practising beforehand matters, I'd argue, precisely because it takes the panic out of the unexpected question - it's the difference between fumbling and simply pausing to think. A few years ago I helped my friend Phuong get ready for a graphic design interview at a studio near Tran Phu street, and we ran mock sessions for several evenings at my apartment, firing tough portfolio and teamwork questions at each other until they stopped feeling like traps. By the time her real interview arrived, she said she felt noticeably calmer and could walk through her creative process instead of freezing under pressure. Every interview is different, admittedly, but that kind of rehearsal can be the whole difference, particularly for anyone whose nerves tend to get the better of them.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCadmittedly,Placing the concession 'admittedly' in the middle of the final sentence, after the main claim, is more fluent and native-like than 6.5 and 7.0's pattern of starting a new sentence or clause with the hedge.把让步语 'admittedly' 放在最后一句的中间、主要论断之后,比6.5和7.0那种用缓和语开启新句子或新分句的模式更流畅、更接近母语者。

I think people should dress quite smartly for a job interview, but it does not always need to be a full suit. It depends on the industry. For example, when I interviewed for my UI designer job at our studio in Da Nang, I wore a pale blue shirt, dark trousers, and simple black shoes - nothing too fancy, but more polished than my usual clothes. The manager said he liked candidates who made an effort but still looked comfortable. In creative jobs, a bit of personal style is fine, but avoid things like T-shirts or sandals. Overall, it's about respecting the company while being yourself.
