6.5 分

The plain comparison 'just someone with a normal job like me' and the simple closing statement keep the answer clear and correct but linguistically modest, characteristic of Band 6.5.朴素的比较'just someone with a normal job like me'加上简单的结尾句,使整段回答保持清晰准确,但语言层面比较朴素——这是Band 6.5的典型特征。

I want to talk about my friend Phuong, who did really well in a swimming competition here in Da Nang last summer. Phuong and I met a few years ago through mutual friends, and I know she has always enjoyed swimming since she was a child in school.

Last year, she decided to join an amateur swimming competition organized at a sports center near her apartment. She trained almost every evening after work for around two months before the event, which I thought showed a lot of discipline, since she also has a full-time job.

On the day of the competition, I couldn't go and watch, but she told me all about it afterward. She swam in the two-hundred-meter freestyle race and finished in third place out of more than twenty swimmers, which she was really proud of, and so was I when she told me.

I felt really happy and impressed when I heard the news. Phuong isn't a professional athlete, just someone with a normal job like me, so seeing her achieve something like this was motivating. It made me think that maybe I should try being more serious about my own weekend exercise too.

  • FCI felt really happy and impressed when I heard the news.'I felt really happy and impressed when I heard the news' states the reaction plainly with two common adjectives and a simple time clause, without specifying which part of Phuong's achievement — the training, the discipline, the result — produced that impression. Naming the feeling directly and moving on, rather than unpacking it, is the minimal-elaboration pattern typical of Band 6.5 fluency.'I felt really happy and impressed when I heard the news' 用两个常见的形容词和一个简单的时间分句平实地陈述了反应,却没有说明Phương的成就——训练、自律、结果——究竟是哪一部分带来了这种印象。直接说出情绪便转入下一话题,而不加以展开,正是6.5分流利度中典型的最简发展模式。
  • LRjust someone with a normal job like me'Just someone with a normal job like me' uses the most ordinary vocabulary available to draw a comparison between Phuong and the speaker, relying on 'normal' and 'like me' rather than more specific language about what makes her achievement relatable. This kind of plain, safe comparison is exactly the everyday vocabulary Band 6.5 lexical resource is calibrated around.'Just someone with a normal job like me' 使用了最普通的现成词汇,在Phương和说话者之间做出比较,依赖 'normal' 和 'like me',而不是用更具体的语言说明她的成就究竟是哪一点让人感到贴近、有共鸣。这种平实、保险的比较方式,正是6.5分词汇资源所围绕设定的日常词汇水平。
  • GRAwhich I thought showed a lot of discipline, since she also has a full-time jobA single relative clause ('which I thought showed...') is attached to the main fact, followed by one 'since' clause giving a reason — two layers of subordination stacked once each, correctly formed but not combined into anything more elaborate. This is the basic but accurate complex-sentence pattern that defines Band 6.5 grammar, one step beyond simple sentences without venturing into more varied structures.一个单一的关系从句('which I thought showed...')被附加在主要事实上,随后是一个给出理由的 'since' 分句——两层从属结构各出现一次,形式正确,但没有结合成更精心构造的内容。这正是定义6.5分语法的基础但准确的复杂句模式,比简单句进了一步,却没有冒险尝试更多样化的结构。
7.0 分

The concessive structure 'even when he was clearly tired' and the natural closing reflection about joining the badminton club show the comfortable grammar range and genuine development typical of Band 7.0.让步结构'even when he was clearly tired',加上结尾处关于加入羽毛球俱乐部的自然反思,展现出Band 7.0那种运用自如的语法范围和真实的内容展开。

I'd like to talk about my colleague Tuan, who did really well in a company badminton tournament held here in Da Nang last spring. Tuan and I work in the same office, and I knew he played badminton for fun, but I didn't realise how seriously he trained for it until this event came up.

Our company organised the tournament between different departments, and Tuan decided to enter the singles category, even though he'd never competed properly before. For about six weeks beforehand, he started playing almost every evening after work at a court near his apartment, which I thought was pretty impressive given how busy our job usually is.

On the day of the tournament, quite a few of us went along to support him, since it was held at a sports hall not far from the office. He ended up winning three matches in a row before losing narrowly in the final, which meant he finished in second place out of around thirty players. Everyone was genuinely proud of him, especially considering he'd only had a few weeks to prepare properly.

I felt really impressed when I watched him play, mainly because he stayed so calm and focused even when he was clearly tired. Tuan isn't someone who talks much about his achievements, so seeing him push himself like that was quite motivating. It's actually made me think about joining the badminton club myself, just to get a bit more active outside of work. A few of us have already started teasing him about entering the next regional tournament, and he just laughs it off, though I can tell he's quietly considering it.

  • GRAeven when he was clearly tiredThe concessive clause 'even when he was clearly tired' is added onto the main observation about Tuan staying calm and focused, acknowledging a contrasting circumstance within the same sentence rather than ignoring it. This kind of accurately used concessive structure, embedded naturally into a longer sentence, is part of the comfortable complex-grammar mix Band 7.0 targets, beyond the simple statements a 6.5 answer would offer. It strengthens the compliment about Tuan's composure by acknowledging the difficulty — tiredness — he was overcoming.让步从句'even when he was clearly tired'被添加到关于Tuan保持冷静专注的主要评论之后,在同一句话里承认了一种对立的情况,而不是对其视而不见。这种准确使用、自然融入更长句子的让步结构,是7.0分所瞄准的从容复杂语法组合的一部分,超越了6.5分答案会给出的简单陈述。它通过承认Tuan正在克服的困难——疲惫——强化了对他沉着表现的赞赏。
  • LRquite motivating'Quite motivating' adds a mild degree modifier to a common evaluative adjective, giving a personal, slightly understated reaction rather than an emphatic word like 'inspiring' or 'incredible'. This kind of flexible, moderately evaluative phrase — natural rather than dramatic — is exactly the Band 7.0 target of common words with a little added nuance. It also sets up the following sentence about wanting to join the badminton club, which grows directly out of feeling motivated by Tuan's example.'Quite motivating'在一个常见的评价性形容词前加上一个轻微的程度副词,给出了一种个人化、略带克制的反应,而不是像'inspiring'或'incredible'那样强烈的词。这种灵活、适度评价性的短语——自然而不夸张——正是7.0分'常见词汇加一点细微差别'这一目标的体现。它还为下一句关于想加入羽毛球俱乐部的内容做了铺垫,这个愿望正是直接源于被Tuan的榜样所激励的感受。
  • FCIt's actually made me think about joining the badminton club myselfThe answer closes by connecting Tuan's story back to the speaker's own life — a genuine personal reflection rather than simply restating admiration for Tuan. This kind of natural extension from someone else's story to a personal consequence is the real development Band 7.0 expects, beyond a 6.5 answer that would likely end on the admiration itself without this extra step. It also foreshadows the closing detail about colleagues teasing Tuan, giving the whole answer a sense of an ongoing, real relationship rather than a one-off anecdote.

The idiomatic closing line 'commitment really does pay off' and the precise detail 'top fifteen out of hundreds of runners' show the natural collocation and evaluative insight expected at Band 7.5.习语化的结尾'commitment really does pay off',加上精确的细节'top fifteen out of hundreds of runners',展现出Band 7.5所期待的自然搭配和评价性洞察力。

I want to talk about my friend Minh, who actually did amazingly well in a local half-marathon here in Da Nang last year. Minh and I met through our weekend running group that trains along My Khe Beach, so I got to see how dedicated he was to running, even before this event.

He's always been pretty sporty, but last spring he decided to sign up for the Da Nang International Half-Marathon, which is around 21 kilometers. I remember he spent months preparing, waking up at five every morning to get in extra training. On race day, the weather was unexpectedly hot and humid, which makes running a real challenge, but Minh managed to finish in just under one hour and forty minutes. That actually put him in the top fifteen out of hundreds of runners, which I thought was really impressive, especially considering he's not a professional athlete-just a regular guy with a lot of discipline.

What really stood out to me was how Minh kept encouraging other runners, even during the race. After he crossed the finish line, he waited to cheer on our group, and later he even shared some tips with the newer members. Honestly, seeing how hard he worked and how supportive he was made me respect him even more, both as a runner and as a friend. It also inspired me to take my own running more seriously, because he showed that commitment really does pay off.

  • LRcommitment really does pay off'Pay off' is an idiomatic metaphor treating commitment like an investment that eventually returns value, more figurative than a literal statement like 'if you work hard, you will succeed' that a lower-band answer would likely use instead. The intensifier 'really does' also adds a slightly argumentative, persuasive tone, as if confirming something the speaker had suspected but needed Minh's example to prove. That kind of naturally deployed idiom, closing the whole anecdote with a general life lesson drawn from a specific story, is the figurative language the Band 7.5 lexical target rewards."Pay off"是一个带有习语色彩的隐喻,把付出的努力比作一项最终会带来回报的投资,比"if you work hard, you will succeed"这类字面陈述更具比喻色彩,而后者更可能出现在较低分的答案中。加强语气的"really does"也带出一种略带论辩、说服意味的语气,仿佛在证实说话者早有的猜测,只是需要阿明的例子来加以证明。这种自然运用的习语,用从一个具体故事中提炼出的普遍人生道理来收束整段轶事,正是7.5分词汇标准所看重的比喻性语言。
  • GRAThat actually put him in the top fifteen out of hundreds of runners, which I thought was really impressive, especially considering he's not a professional athlete-just a regular guy with a lot of discipline. The sentence stacks a relative clause ('which I thought was really impressive') onto a main statement about the ranking, then adds a further participial-style aside ('especially considering he's not a professional athlete') and a final appositive noun phrase ('just a regular guy with a lot of discipline'), all without losing control of the sentence's overall clarity. Managing that many layered additions accurately is the varied, mostly error-free complex grammar the Band 7.5 target rewards, well beyond the simpler statements a 7.0 answer would use. The final phrase also does real persuasive work, reframing 'top fifteen out of hundreds' from a bare statistic into evidence of character.这句话在一个关于排名的主要陈述上叠加了一个定语从句("which I thought was really impressive"),接着又加上一个类似分词结构的补充说明("especially considering he's not a professional athlete"),最后再加上一个同位语名词短语("just a regular guy with a lot of discipline"),整句话却始终没有失去清晰度。能够准确驾驭这么多层层叠加的附加成分,正是7.5分所看重的多样化、基本无错的复杂语法,远超7.0水平答案会使用的更简单的陈述。最后这个短语也发挥了真正的说服作用,把"top fifteen out of hundreds"从一个单纯的统计数字,重新塑造成能说明性格品质的证据。
  • FCWhat really stood out to me was how Minh kept encouraging other runners, even during the race. The cleft structure 'What really stood out to me was...' foregrounds the speaker's evaluation before stating the fact itself, putting the emphasis on the judgement (this was the most notable thing) rather than on the raw event (Minh encouraged other runners). That kind of cleft-sentence opening, used to highlight a reflective point rather than just describe what happened, is exactly the structure the Band 7.5 descriptor names as a marker of higher grammatical and coherence range, in contrast to a plainer 6.5 or 7.0 sentence like 'Minh also encouraged other runners during the race.' It also shifts the anecdote's focus away from pure athletic achievement toward character.强调句结构"What really stood out to me was..."把说话者的评价前置,先于事实本身呈现出来,把重心放在判断(这是最值得注意的事)上,而不是放在原始事件本身(阿明鼓励了其他跑者)。这种用强调句开头、用来凸显一个反思性观点而不只是陈述发生了什么的写法,正是7.5分描述语明确点名的、标志更高语法与连贯性范围的结构,对比之下,6.5或7.0水平更平实的句子会写成"Minh also encouraged other runners during the race."它同时也把这段轶事的重心,从单纯的运动成就转向了性格品质。

    6.5 分

The 6.5 answer opens with a direct claim ('Football is definitely the most popular') and lists other sports with simple connectors like 'also' and 'Because', giving one concrete example.6.5分的回答以一个直接的论点开头('Football is definitely the most popular'),用'also'和'Because'这样简单的连接词列举了其他运动,给出了一个具体的例子。

Football is definitely the most popular, especially with young men — you see games on any patch of grass near the river in the evening, using bags or sandals as goalposts. Badminton is a close second, probably because you only need a racket and a bit of space. Because Da Nang is right on the coast, swimming and beach volleyball are also popular, especially at weekends at My Khe Beach. Traditional sports like đá cầu still exist, but football is the main one people talk about.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCTraditional sports like đá cầu still exist, but football is the main one people talk about. This closing sentence, starting a new point with 'but', is a plain additive contrast rather than a more evaluative final synthesis.这个结尾句用'but'开启了一个新论点,是一个平实的附加性对比,而不是一个更具评价性的最终综合总结。
    • LRswimming and beach volleyball are also popularThis is plain, functional phrasing using the basic adjective 'popular' repeated throughout the answer.这是平实、有功能性的措辞,整篇回答反复使用了基本形容词'popular'。
    • GRABecause Da Nang is right on the coast, swimming and beach volleyball are also popular, especially at weekends at My Khe Beach. This is a simple sentence built around a single 'Because' clause, the most basic way of giving a reason.这是一个围绕单一'Because'分句构建的简单句子,是给出理由最基本的方式。
    7.0 分

The 7.0 answer opens with the vivid phrase 'makeshift matches' and closes with 'football dominates conversations and screen time by a wide margin', more natural than the 6.5 version's plainer statements.7.0分的回答以生动的短语'makeshift matches'开头,以'football dominates conversations and screen time by a wide margin'收尾,比6.5版本那些更平淡的陈述更自然。

Football is definitely the most popular, especially with young men — you'll see makeshift matches on any patch of grass near the river most evenings, using bags or sandals as goalposts. Badminton comes a close second, probably because all you need is a racket and a bit of space, which makes it accessible even for people without much money. Given that Da Nang sits right on the coast, swimming and beach volleyball are popular too, especially at weekends along My Khe Beach. Gyms and fitness classes have also grown a lot recently among people in their twenties. 为什么是这个分数

    • FCbut honestly, football dominates conversations and screen time by a wide marginThis closing sentence, with the spoken hedge 'honestly' inserted, is a more evaluative final synthesis than the plain 'but football is the main one people talk about' sentence used at 6.5.这个结尾句插入了口语化的缓冲语'honestly',比6.5使用的那句平实的'but football is the main one people talk about'更具评价性的最终综合总结。

Football is unquestionably the most popular, especially among young men — makeshift matches spring up on any patch of grass near the river most evenings, bags or sandals doubling as goalposts. Badminton runs a close second, largely because all it takes is a racket and a sliver of space, which keeps it accessible even for people without much money. Given that Da Nang sits right on the coast, swimming and beach volleyball thrive too, especially at weekends along My Khe Beach. Gyms and fitness classes have also surged recently among people in their twenties, and so, more quietly, has interest in mixed martial arts. Traditional sports like đá cầu still hang on, but honestly, football dominates conversations and screen time by a country mile.

I think it is mixed, honestly. Some young people really enjoy competition — the excitement of winning and the team spirit motivate them to train harder. Others, though, find competitions stressful, especially if parents or coaches put too much pressure on winning instead of enjoying it. I have watched youth football matches near my apartment where some kids clearly just wanted to play for fun, while others looked nervous whenever they made a mistake. So playing sport is popular, but really enjoying the pressure of competing is not the same for everyone.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo playing sport is popular, but really enjoying the pressure of competing is not the same for everyone. This closing sentence, starting with 'So', gives a plain sequential summary rather than a more elaborate synthesis.这个以'So'开头的结尾句,给出的是一个平实的顺序性总结,而不是一个更精细的综合总结。

I'd say it's mixed, honestly. Some young people genuinely thrive on competition — the excitement of winning, the team spirit, all of that motivates them to train harder. Others, though, find competitions stressful, especially if parents or coaches put too much pressure on results rather than enjoyment. I've watched youth football matches near my apartment where a few kids clearly just wanted to play for fun, while others looked tense every time they made a mistake, glancing nervously at the sideline. So participation itself is popular, but genuine enjoyment of the competitive pressure isn't universal. I think it really depends on how the adults around them frame winning and losing.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo participation itself is popular, but genuine enjoyment of the competitive pressure isn't universal. This closing sentence draws a precise distinction between 'participation' and 'genuine enjoyment', a more deliberate synthesising move than the plainer summary sentence used at 6.5.这个结尾句在'participation'和'genuine enjoyment'之间划出了一个精准的区分,比6.5使用的那个更平淡的总结句更具刻意的综合意味。
    • LRSome young people genuinely thrive on competition'Thrive on' is a vivid, more precise collocation than the plainer 'really enjoy' phrasing used for the same idea at 6.5.'Thrive on'是一个生动、更精准的搭配,比6.5针对同一个想法使用的那个更平淡的'really enjoy'更进一步。
    • GRAothers looked tense every time they made a mistake, glancing nervously at the sidelineThe present participle 'glancing' functions as part of a longer descriptive clause, a more flexible non-finite structure than the simple 'looking at the sideline' phrase used at 6.5.现在分词'glancing'作为一个更长的描述性分句的一部分发挥作用,是一个比6.5使用的简单短语'looking at the sideline'更灵活的非限定结构。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer opens with the compact fragment 'Mixed, honestly, is probably the fairest way to put it' and uses the vivid phrase 'eyes darting to the sideline', showing its most idiomatic, compressed phrasing.7.5分的回答以紧凑的片段'Mixed, honestly, is probably the fairest way to put it'开头,并用了生动的短语'eyes darting to the sideline',展现出其最地道、最凝练的措辞。

Mixed, honestly, is probably the fairest way to put it. Some young people genuinely thrive on competition — the thrill of winning, the camaraderie, all of it spurs them to train harder. Others, though, find competitions genuinely stressful, especially when parents or coaches load them with pressure to win rather than simply enjoy the game. I've watched youth football matches near my apartment where a few kids were clearly just there to have fun, while others tensed visibly at every mistake, eyes darting to the sideline.

    • LRletting coaches fine-tune training instead of guessing'Fine-tune' is a vivid, more precise verb than the plainer 'adjust' used for the same idea at 6.5.'Fine-tune'是一个生动、更精准的动词,比6.5针对同一个想法使用的那个更平淡的'adjust'更进一步。
    • GRAVideo analysis software breaks down technique frame by frame, which used to require expert eyes alone. This sentence uses the more formal verb 'require' inside a relative 'which' clause, a step up from the plainer 'need' used in the equivalent sentence at 6.5.这个句子在一个定语从句'which'里用了更正式的动词'require',比6.5在对应句子里使用的更平淡的'need'更进一步。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer uses the precise verb 'dissects' for video analysis and closes with the compact phrase 'this technology at their disposal', showing its most precise, idiomatic phrasing.7.5分的回答用了精准的动词'dissects'来形容视频分析,并以紧凑的短语'this technology at their disposal'收尾,展现出其最精准、最地道的措辞。

It's becoming central, honestly, no longer some optional add-on. Wearable devices now track heart rate, sleep and recovery, letting coaches fine-tune training rather than rely on guesswork. Video analysis software dissects technique frame by frame, work that used to demand expert eyes alone. Even in-match decision-making has shifted, with technology like VAR in football reviewing incidents referees might otherwise miss in real time. At my studio, we actually worked on a fitness-tracking app interface for a client last year, and it was striking how much data amateur athletes now expect access to, not just professionals. The one drawback is that smaller clubs without funding risk falling further behind teams with this technology at their disposal.

    • FCThe one drawback is that smaller clubs without funding risk falling further behind teams with this technology at their disposal. The idiom 'at their disposal' is a more compact, formal way of expressing access than the plainer 'with access to this technology' phrasing used at 7.0.习语'at their disposal'是一种比7.0使用的那个更平淡的'with access to this technology'措辞更紧凑、更正式的方式,用来表达可获取性。

    • GRAletting coaches fine-tune training rather than rely on guessworkThe noun 'guesswork' replaces the verb phrase 'instead of guessing' used at 6.5/7.0, a more compressed nominalisation within the same participial structure.名词'guesswork'取代了6.5/7.0使用的动词短语'instead of guessing',在同样的分词结构里,是一个更凝练的名词化用法。

To some extent, yes, mainly because their careers are short and physically hard, and only a small number of people ever reach the top level in the first place. The salaries also reflect the money they bring in through ticket sales, sponsorships and broadcasting rights. That said, the gap between the highest-paid sportspeople and, say, nurses or teachers does seem unfair when you think about long-term value to society. Popular sports like football also attract far more money than equally demanding ones. So I would say top athletes in popular sports probably deserve high pay, but the overall pay across different sports feels quite unfair.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo I would say top athletes in popular sports probably deserve high pay, but the overall pay across different sports feels quite unfair. This closing sentence, starting with 'So', gives a plain sequential summary balancing two ideas with 'but'.这个以'So'开头的结尾句,用'but'给出了一个平实的顺序性总结,平衡了两个观点。

To an extent, yes, mainly because their careers are short and physically demanding, and only a small percentage ever reach that top level in the first place. The salaries also reflect how much revenue they generate through ticket sales, sponsorships, and broadcasting rights, so in a market sense, it's not unreasonable. That said, the gap between the highest-paid sportspeople and, say, nurses or teachers does seem disproportionate when you think about long-term social value. Also, popular sports like football attract far more money than equally demanding sports that just don't get the same audience. So I'd say top athletes in popular sports probably deserve high pay, but the overall distribution across different sports feels quite unfair.

To an extent, yes, mainly because their careers are short and punishing, and only a sliver of hopefuls ever reach that top tier at all. The salaries also track how much revenue they generate through ticket sales, sponsorships and broadcasting rights, so in market terms, it isn't unreasonable. That said, the gulf between the highest-paid sportspeople and, say, nurses or teachers looks distinctly disproportionate once you weigh in long-term social value. Popular sports like football also hoover up far more money than equally demanding sports that simply lack the same audience. So top athletes in popular sports probably do deserve high pay, but the distribution of pay across sports as a whole feels considerably less fair. Nobody in sport seems keen to fix that imbalance any time soon.

Government funding, I'd argue, makes most sense for building lasting public facilities communities go on using, while private companies are better suited to funding the event's day-to-day running, broadcasting and marketing among them. • LRsmall pitches near the riverThis is a plain, functional description. 7.0 adds a descriptive adjective ('small, floodlit pitches'), and 7.5 keeps a similar phrase but embeds it in a longer, more fluent sentence, showing that precision can come from both word choice and sentence integration.这是一个平实、有功能性的描述。7.0加入了一个描述性的形容词('small, floodlit pitches'),而7.5保留了类似的短语,但把它嵌入了一个更长、更流畅的句子里,说明精准度既可以来自用词选择,也可以来自句子的融合。
    • GRABesides football, badminton is also popular, especially with older people, who often play in the parks early in the morning. This sentence uses a relative clause attached simply to the end, correct but standard. 7.5 achieves a similar structure but adds a further concluding sentence that ties the whole answer together, showing a longer overall argument.这个句子用了一个简单附加在末尾的定语从句,正确但很标准。7.5实现了类似的结构,但又加了一个进一步的结尾句,把整个回答串联在了一起,展示出更长的整体论证。

Adds the hedge 'Honestly' and the intensifier 'by quite a distance' to the opening claim, giving it a more considered, spoken tone.在开头的论点里加上了缓冲语'Honestly'和强调词'by quite a distance',让它带有更深思熟虑、更口语化的语气。

Honestly, football is definitely the most popular sport here, by quite a distance. If you walk around Da Nang on a weekend evening, you'll see groups of mostly young men playing on small, floodlit pitches near the river. Even in my own building, people often gather at the café downstairs to watch matches on TV. Actually, last month I was at Vincom Mall and noticed a huge crowd cheering for the national team during the SEA Games. Besides football, badminton is also big, especially among older people, who you'll often spot playing in the parks early in the morning.

    • FCHonestly, football is definitely the most popular sport here, by quite a distance. The hedge 'Honestly' plus the added phrase 'by quite a distance' makes the claim sound more like a considered judgement than a flat fact, a step beyond 6.5's bare statement. It doesn't yet reach 7.5's more confident single adverb ('unquestionably'), which achieves the same effect more economically.缓冲语'Honestly'加上补充短语'by quite a distance',让这个论点听起来更像是一个经过深思熟虑的判断,而不是一个平淡的事实,比6.5那个光秃秃的陈述更进一步。不过它还没有达到7.5那个更自信的单一副词('unquestionably')的效果,后者用更精简的方式达到了同样的效果。
    • LRa huge crowd cheering for the national teamThis is a clear, functional description of the scene. 7.5 extends the same image with a more specific, vivid detail ('cheering in front of an electronics store'), showing a more precise eye for description.这是一个清晰、有功能性的场景描述。7.5用一个更具体、更生动的细节('cheering in front of an electronics store')延伸了同样的画面,展示出更精准的描述眼光。
    • GRAActually, last month I was at Vincom Mall and noticed a huge crowd cheering for the national team during the SEA Games. This sentence links time, place and action in one clause chain, correct and reasonably fluent. 7.5 extends a similar sentence further with an additional embedded detail, showing more layered description within one sentence.这个句子在一条分句链里连接了时间、地点和动作,正确且相当流畅。7.5用一个额外嵌入的细节进一步延伸了类似的句子,展示出一个句子里更有层次的描述。

Actually, just last month I happened to be at Vincom Mall and stumbled on a huge crowd cheering in front of an electronics store during a SEA Games match. So while football grabs all the headlines, other sports are quietly catching on too.

    • FCSo while football grabs all the headlines, other sports are quietly catching on too. This closing sentence uses a concessive 'while' clause to summarise the whole answer in one balanced statement, giving a clear sense of conclusion. Neither 6.5 nor 7.0 closes with this kind of summarising, balanced sentence; both simply add badminton as a final fact.这个结尾句用一个让步性的'while'分句,把整个回答总结进了一个平衡的陈述里,给出了清晰的结论感。6.5和7.0都没有用这种概括性、平衡的句子来收尾;两者都只是把羽毛球作为最后一个事实加了进去。
    • LRgrabs all the headlinesThis is a natural, idiomatic collocation for media attention, well beyond the plain vocabulary used at 6.5 and 7.0. It shows the kind of precise, native-like phrasing that characterises 7.5 lexis.这是一个自然、地道的搭配,用来表示媒体关注,远远超越了6.5和7.0使用的平淡词汇。它展示出的是7.5词汇特征的那种精准、近乎母语者的措辞。
    • GRAWander around Da Nang on a weekend evening and you'll spot groups of mostly young men playing on small, floodlit pitches near the Han River, and even in my own building people gather at the café downstairs to watch V-League or European matches. This long sentence uses an imperative-conditional opening plus a coordinated second clause, managing far more content in one unit than the shorter sentences at 6.5 or 7.0. That control over a long, multi-part sentence without losing clarity is a hallmark of 7.5 grammar.这个长句用了一个祈使句式的条件开头,加上一个并列的第二分句,在一个单元里承载了比6.5或7.0那些更短的句子多得多的内容。这种在不失清晰度的情况下掌控长的、多部分句子的能力,是7.5分语法的一个标志。

Yes, team sports are very popular here, especially football. In Da Nang and even smaller cities, you often see people playing football on school fields or empty lots. Last month, I passed Tien Son Stadium and saw an amateur league match between different districts. The crowd was surprisingly big, with families, kids and food stalls nearby. Football is popular partly because it's easy to organise and partly because it's shown everywhere on TV. Volleyball is also common, though less popular. Overall, team sports really bring people together, both players and fans.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCOverall, team sports really bring people together, both players and fans. This closing sentence sums up the whole answer plainly and briefly, suiting 6.5's direct style. The higher bands extend the same closing idea with a parallel 'as players and as fans/spectators' structure, giving it a slightly more polished, balanced rhythm.这个结尾句平实、简短地总结了整个回答,符合6.5直接的风格。高分档用一个并列的'as players and as fans/spectators'结构延伸了同样的收尾想法,让它带有稍微更精炼、更平衡的节奏。
    • LRsurprisingly bigA simple, common intensifier-adjective pair. 7.5 upgrades this to 'surprisingly large', a marginally more formal register choice, and surrounds it with richer sentence detail overall.一对简单、常见的强调词-形容词组合。7.5把它升级成了'surprisingly large',这是一个稍微更正式的语域选择,并在整体上用更丰富的句子细节环绕着它。
    • GRALast month, I passed Tien Son Stadium and saw an amateur league match between different districts.A single, clear sentence with basic coordination. 7.0 extends the same sentence with an added consequence clause about the crowd joined by a dash, and 7.5 adds a further descriptive clause, showing progressively more layered sentence-building for the same event.一个用基础并列结构组成的清晰单句。7.0用一个以破折号连接的、关于观众的附加结果分句延伸了同样的句子,而7.5又加了一个进一步的描述性分句,展示出针对同一个事件逐步增加的、更有层次的句子构建。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHonestly, team sports are genuinely popular here, especially football. The hedge 'Honestly' and intensifier 'genuinely' make this read as a personal, weighed judgement rather than a flat fact, a step beyond 6.5's plain opening. 7.5 achieves a similarly confident tone without the explicit hedge, relying on word order alone ('football above all').缓冲语'Honestly'和强调词'genuinely',让这句话读起来像是一个个人化、经过权衡的判断,而不是一个平淡的事实,比6.5那个平淡的开头更进一步。7.5在没有明确缓冲语的情况下也达到了类似的自信语气,完全依靠语序本身('football above all')。
    • LRa few food stalls set up nearbyThis concrete detail is reused closely from the original material and phrased plainly here. At 7.5 the same detail follows a more vivid framing verb ('stumbled on'), giving the whole scene slightly more narrative colour.这个具体细节紧密沿用了原始材料,在这里表达得很平实。在7.5,同样的细节后面跟着一个更生动的引导动词('stumbled on'),让整个场景带有稍微更多的叙事色彩。
    • GRAI'd say football is popular partly because it's so easy to set up a game, but also because it's broadcast everywhere. This uses a 'partly... but also' structure to give two linked reasons in one sentence, more developed than a simple listing. It closely matches 7.5's version, the main difference being 7.5's stronger closing detail ('broadcast absolutely everywhere the national team plays').这里用了一个'partly... but also'结构,在一个句子里给出了两个相关联的原因,比简单的列举更成熟。这和7.5的版本非常接近,主要的区别在于7.5更有力的结尾细节('broadcast absolutely everywhere the national team plays')。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCOverall, team sports bring people together here, both as players and as spectators. This closing echoes the structure used at the lower bands but chooses the more formal, precise word 'spectators' over 'fans', giving the final line a slightly more considered register. It reads as a deliberate, polished wrap-up rather than a simple restatement.这个结尾呼应了低分档使用的结构,但选择了更正式、更精准的词'spectators',而不是'fans',让最后一句带有稍微更经过考虑的语域。它读起来像是一个刻意、精心打磨的收尾,而不是一个简单的重申。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCI disagree with that idea.A short, direct statement of position right at the start, typical of 6.5's plain style. The higher bands soften this with hedges ('Honestly, I disagree' / 'I'd have to disagree... to be honest'), giving the same opinion a more considered, spoken feel.一个开头就直接、简短陈述立场的句子,这是6.5分平实风格的典型特征。高分档用缓冲语('Honestly, I disagree' / 'I'd have to disagree... to be honest')软化了这一点,让同样的观点带有更经过考虑、更口语化的感觉。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHonestly, I disagree with that idea.Adding 'Honestly' up front gives this opening a more personal, spoken quality than 6.5's bare statement of disagreement. • LRpreferred reading and painting to anything athletic'Preferred X to Y' is a solid, correctly used comparative structure. 7.5 keeps this exact phrasing too, showing that at these two upper bands lexical range often comes from the sentence built around a phrase rather than constant new vocabulary.'Preferred X to Y'是一个扎实、使用正确的比较结构。7.5也保留了完全相同的措辞,说明在这两个高分档,词汇广度往往来自围绕一个短语构建的句子,而不是不断地使用新词汇。
    • GRAshe preferred reading and painting to anything athletic, and honestly found group sports quite stressfulThis links two related ideas with 'and' inside one sentence about Trang's character, more developed than a simple listing. 7.5 achieves a similar link but drops the hedge 'honestly' in favour of the stronger word 'genuinely' plus an added contrast ('rather than fun'), showing slightly more grammatical ambition.这里用'and'在一个关于Trang性格的句子里连接了两个相关的想法,比简单的列举更成熟。7.5实现了类似的连接,但去掉了缓冲语'honestly',换成了更有力的词'genuinely',并加上了一个对比('rather than fun'),展现出稍微更强的语法野心。

I still remember her camped on the sidelines, sketching away in her notebook, while the rest of us played volleyball or football. 为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo I'd say it's perfectly normal for some students to enjoy sport, while others simply never connect with that kind of activity. This closing sentence uses 'perfectly normal' and 'simply never' to state the conclusion with more conviction than the lower bands' plainer 'quite normal' and 'just don't'. 为什么是这个分数

    • FCBut I feel that gap is getting smaller, especially in big cities like Da Nang. This states the shift plainly with a common verb. 7.0 keeps a very similar structure, and 7.5 replaces the verb entirely with the more vivid 'narrowing fast', giving the same observation more energy.这平实地用了一个常见动词来陈述这种转变。7.0保留了非常相似的结构,而7.5完全替换了动词,改用更生动的'narrowing fast',让同样的观察带有更多活力。

    • FCHonestly, traditionally boys did seem more likely to join sports, at least in my own experience growing up.The double hedge makes this claim sound carefully qualified rather than assumed, a step up from 6.5's more matter-of-fact 'I think, traditionally'. 7.5 achieves a similar cautious tone with 'probably' instead, a slightly more economical choice.这个双重缓冲语,让这个论点听起来像是经过仔细限定的,而不是想当然的,比6.5那个更就事论事的'I think, traditionally'更进一步。7.5用'probably'代替,达到了类似的谨慎语气,这是一个稍微更精简的选择。
    • LRincluding me, to be fairThis spoken aside adds a self-deprecating, natural touch. 7.5 keeps a nearly identical phrase ('myself included, to be fair'), showing that at this level, small variations in a well-chosen phrase mark the difference between bands.这个口语化的插入语增添了一种自嘲式的、自然的色彩。7.5保留了几乎相同的短语('myself included, to be fair'),说明在这个水平上,一个用得好的短语的细微变化,就标志着分数档次之间的差别。
    • GRAshe'd started playing just to stay active, but after a couple of months she was beating most of the guysThis uses a past perfect followed by a 'but' contrast in simple past, a fluent and correct structure. 7.5 keeps the same basic shape but swaps 'but' for 'yet' and adds 'within a couple of months', a marginally more compact and formal variant.这里用了一个过去完成时,后面跟着一个用简单过去时表达的'but'对比,结构流畅且正确。7.5保留了同样的基本形态,但把'but'换成了'yet',并加上了'within a couple of months',这是一个稍微更紧凑、更正式的变体。

Closes with the emphatic pairing 'every bit as keen', giving the final comparison more balance than the plainer endings of the lower bands.以强调性的搭配'every bit as keen'收尾,让最后的对比比低分档更平淡的结尾更平衡。

Traditionally, boys probably were more likely to take up sport, at least going by my own childhood. But I'd say that gap has been narrowing fast, especially in bigger cities like Da Nang. Last autumn, for instance, I joined a badminton club near the Han River and noticed that roughly half the new members were women, including an unstoppably energetic university student named Ha. She told me she'd taken it up purely to stay active, yet within a couple of months she was beating most of the guys, myself included, to be fair. So while boys might still be nudged toward sport a little more by family or tradition, girls these days seem every bit as keen, given the chance.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo while boys might still be nudged toward sport a little more by family or tradition, girls these days seem every bit as keen, given the chance. The phrase 'every bit as keen' gives the closing comparison more emphatic balance than the plainer 'just as keen' used at 6.5 or 'equally keen' at 7.0. It reads as a more confident, rhetorically shaped final judgement.短语'every bit as keen'比6.5使用的那个更平淡的'just as keen'或者7.0的'equally keen',给这个结尾的比较带来了更强调性的平衡感。它读起来是一个更自信、更具修辞技巧的最终判断。
    • LRnudged toward sport'Nudged toward' is a precise, gentle metaphor for subtle social pressure, more nuanced than the plainer 'pushed into' used at both lower bands. It shows the kind of careful, exact word choice expected at 7.5.'Nudged toward'是一个精准、温和的比喻,用来表示微妙的社会压力,比两个低分档使用的那个更平淡的'pushed into'更细腻。它展示出的是7.5所期待的那种仔细、精确的用词选择。
    • GRAincluding an unstoppably energetic university student named HaThis packs a compound adjective into a reduced relative clause acting as an appositive, more compact and descriptive than the simpler noun phrases at 6.5 and 7.0. This kind of dense, economical modification is a marker of flexible grammatical control.这把一个复合形容词塞进了一个充当同位语的省略式定语从句里,比6.5和7.0那些更简单的名词短语更紧凑、更具描述性。这种密集、精简的修饰方式,是灵活语法掌控力的一个标志。

States the contrast between dedication and resilience as a plain, separate sentence, without extra detail.把投入和韧性之间的对比,陈述成了一个平实、独立的句子,没有额外的细节。

I think becoming an excellent athlete needs discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. My old university classmate Nam was on the football team in Hanoi. He woke up at five every morning to train, even during exam season, when most of us struggled to get out of bed. His dedication was impressive, but what stood out more was how he handled losing a match. Instead of feeling discouraged, he watched recordings, found his mistakes, and tried again. Talent helps, but without that kind of perseverance, I don't think anyone could reach a high level.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHis dedication was impressive, but what stood out more was how he handled losing a match. This sentence states the contrast directly and simply, suiting 6.5's plain style. The higher bands develop the same contrast with a colon and a short list of actions, giving the point more concrete detail.这个句子直接、简单地陈述了这个对比,符合6.5平实的风格。高分档用一个冒号和一个简短的动作列表来展开同样的对比,让这一点带有更具体的细节。

    • GRAHe woke up at five every morning to train, even during exam season, when most of us struggled to get out of bed. This sentence embeds a time clause and a relative clause in one unit, reasonably developed for 6.5. Both higher bands use a similar structure but 7.5 adds a stronger verb and an intensified final phrase, extending the sentence further.这个句子在一个单元里嵌入了一个时间状语从句和一个定语从句,对6.5来说相当成熟。两个高分档都用了类似的结构,但7.5加了一个更有力的动词和一个强化的结尾短语,进一步延伸了这个句子。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHonestly, I think becoming an excellent athlete takes a mix of discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. The hedge 'Honestly' gives this opening claim a more personal, spoken quality than 6.5's flatter 'I think'. 7.5 reaches a similar effect by moving the hedge to a later position ('I'd say'), a subtly more natural, less front-loaded structure.缓冲语'Honestly',比6.5那个更平淡的'I think',让这个开头的论点带有更个人化、更口语化的质感。7.5通过把缓冲语移到更后面的位置('I'd say'),达到了类似的效果,这是一种微妙地更自然、不那么前置的结构。
    • LRhis ability to bounce back after losingThis is a clear, functional noun phrase. 7.5 extends it slightly to 'his ability to bounce back after a defeat', using the more formal noun 'defeat' in place of the verb phrase 'losing', a small but noticeable lexical upgrade.这是一个清晰、有功能性的名词短语。7.5把它稍微延伸成了'his ability to bounce back after a defeat',用更正式的名词'defeat'代替了动词短语'losing',这是一个虽小但明显的词汇提升。

His dedication was impressive in itself, but what stood out even more was his ability to bounce back after a defeat: instead of sulking, he'd study the recordings, pinpoint his mistakes and go again. • FCTalent obviously helps, but without that kind of perseverance and self-motivation, I doubt anyone could ever reach a genuinely high level. The doubled intensifiers give this closing claim more rhetorical weight than the plainer versions at 6.5 and 7.0. • LRdrag himself out of bed at five every morning'Drag himself out of bed' is a vivid, idiomatic phrase for reluctant early rising, well beyond the plain 'woke up' used at the lower bands. It shows the kind of natural, physical imagery that marks 7.5 vocabulary.'Drag himself out of bed'是一个生动、地道的短语,用来表示不情愿地早起,远远超越了低分档使用的平淡的'woke up'。它展示出的是标志着7.5词汇的那种自然、具身体感的意象。
    • GRAhis ability to bounce back after a defeat: instead of sulking, he'd study the recordings, pinpoint his mistakes and go againThe colon here integrates a three-part list directly into the preceding clause without a separate sentence, a more compact structure than the 'Rather than' opening used at 7.0. 为什么是这个分数

    • FCI definitely agree that becoming a sports star is not easy at all.A short, direct agreement stated plainly, typical of 6.5's style. Both higher bands rephrase this with stronger, more idiomatic negation, giving the same opening more rhetorical punch.一个简短、直接的赞同,平实地陈述了出来,这是6.5风格的典型特征。两个高分档都用更有力、更地道的否定表达重新表述了这一点,让同样的开头更具修辞力度。

Yes, I'd say it's genuinely beneficial for children to sample a range of sports while they're young, rather than specialising too early. The main reason is that each sport hones a different skill — teamwork in football, coordination in badminton, balance in swimming — and children rarely know in advance which one will click. When I was around ten, my cousin Phuong and I joined a summer program at a community centre in Hue, rotating between table tennis, basketball and even a bit of martial arts, and I still remember feeling noticeably more confident and adaptable by the end of that summer. Some children, admittedly, might prefer to focus on a single sport if a strong talent emerges early, but that broad exposure tends to help most children discover what they're genuinely good at.

    • LRrather than specialising too early'Specialising' is a precise, slightly more academic verb than the everyday language used at 6.5 and 7.0 for the same idea of focusing on one sport. It shows a wider, more topic-appropriate vocabulary range.'Specialising'是一个精准、略带学术色彩的动词,比6.5和7.0针对同一个"专注于一项运动"的想法使用的日常语言更进一步。它展示出的是更广泛、更符合主题的词汇范围。
    • GRAeach sport hones a different skill — teamwork in football, coordination in badminton, balance in swimming — and children rarely know in advance which one will clickThis sentence uses a dash-set list embedded inside a longer clause, followed by a further coordinated clause, managing three layers of information in one unit. This kind of dense, well-controlled sentence structure is well beyond the simpler, shorter sentences at 6.5 and 7.0.这个句子用了一个嵌入在更长分句里的、以破折号标出的列表,后面又跟着一个并列分句,在一个单元里管理了三层信息。这种密集、掌控良好的句子结构,远远超越了6.5和7.0那些更简单、更短的句子。

States the overall point plainly with a simple 'not just... but also' pairing, without naming the specific lessons.用一个简单的'not just... but also'配对,平实地陈述了整体观点,没有具体说出是哪些人生课程。

I think children can learn a lot from playing sports, especially teamwork, discipline, and how to handle winning and losing. In grade six, my younger sister Vy joined her school's basketball team in Hue. She was shy at first, but during the semester she learned to communicate with her teammates and became more confident speaking up. I remember she told me about a match her team lost badly, and she felt disappointed, but her coach helped them focus on what they did well. So sports teach kids not just physical skills, but also life lessons.

    • FCSo sports teach kids not just physical skills, but also life lessons. This closing sentence states the overall point plainly using a simple 'not just... but also' pairing, fitting 6.5's direct style. The higher bands extend this same structure by naming the specific life lessons, making the conclusion more precise.这个结尾句用一个简单的'not just... but also'配对,平实地陈述了整体观点,符合6.5直接的风格。高分档通过具体点明是哪些人生课程,延伸了同样的结构,让结论更精准。
    • LRshe felt disappointedA plain, direct emotional statement. Both higher bands intensify this to 'genuinely disappointed' or use a concessive 'although she was disappointed', giving the same emotion slightly more nuance.一个平实、直接的情感陈述。两个高分档都把它强化成了'genuinely disappointed',或者用让步性的'although she was disappointed',给同样的情感增添了稍微更多的细腻感。
    • GRAI remember she told me about a match her team lost badly, and she felt disappointed, but her coach helped them focus on what they did well. This sentence chains three clauses with 'and' and 'but', clear but fairly loosely joined. 7.5 tightens a similar sentence using a semicolon and a concessive 'although' clause instead, showing more controlled subordination.这个句子用'and'和'but'串联了三个分句,清楚但连接相当松散。7.5用一个分号和一个让步性的'although'分句代替,收紧了一个类似的句子,展现出更有掌控力的从属结构。

Adds the concessive 'although she was disappointed' clause instead of a plain 'and she felt disappointed', showing more controlled subordination.加入了让步性的分句'although she was disappointed',而不是平实的'and she felt disappointed',展现出更有掌控力的从属结构。

Honestly, I think children can learn quite a lot from playing sports, especially teamwork, discipline, and how to handle both winning and losing. When I was in grade six, my younger sister Vy joined her school's basketball team in Hue. She was pretty shy at first, but over the semester she learned to communicate with her teammates and grew more confident about speaking up. I remember her telling me about one match her team lost badly, and although she was disappointed, her coach helped them focus on what they'd done well and how to improve. So I'd say sports teach kids not just physical skills, but also lessons in perseverance and cooperation.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCHonestly, I think children can learn quite a lot from playing sports, especially teamwork, discipline, and how to handle both winning and losing. The hedge 'Honestly' and the fuller phrase 'both winning and losing' make this opening slightly more careful and complete than 6.5's shorter version. 7.5 drops the explicit hedge but adds the evaluative adverb 'gracefully', achieving a similarly considered tone more economically.缓冲语'Honestly'和更完整的短语'both winning and losing',让这个开头比6.5那个更短的版本稍微更细致、更完整。7.5去掉了明确的缓冲语,但加入了评价性副词'gracefully',用更精简的方式达到了类似的经过考虑的语气。
    • LRgrew more confident about speaking upThis is a natural, correct verb phrase. 7.5 varies the equivalent idea with 'gradually found her voice', a more idiomatic and figurative way of describing the same development.这是一个自然、正确的动词短语。7.5用'gradually found her voice'变换了这个对应的想法,这是一种更地道、更具比喻色彩的方式来描述同样的成长。
    • GRAI remember her telling me about one match her team lost badly, and although she was disappointed, her coach helped them focus on what they'd done well and how to improve. This sentence uses a gerund plus a concessive 'although' clause, a more sophisticated structure than the simpler coordination at 6.5. It closely resembles 7.5's grammar, the main difference being 7.5's use of a semicolon instead of 'and' to separate the anecdote from the concessive clause.这个句子用了一个动名词加上一个让步性的'although'分句,这是一个比6.5那种更简单的并列结构更成熟的结构。这和7.5的语法非常相似,主要区别在于7.5用分号代替'and'来分隔小故事和让步分句。

Uses the verb 'argue' in the closing sentence, framing the conclusion as a defended claim rather than a simple statement.在结尾句里用了动词'argue',把结论构建成了一个经过辩护的论点,而不是一个简单的陈述。

I'd say children can pick up a surprising amount from playing sports, particularly teamwork, discipline, and how to handle both winning and losing gracefully. My younger sister Vy, for instance, joined her school's basketball team in Hue back in grade six — she was fairly shy to begin with, but over the semester she learned to communicate more confidently with her teammates and gradually found her voice. I remember her describing one match her team lost badly; although she was genuinely disappointed, her coach steered the team toward focusing on what they'd done well rather than dwelling on the loss. So I'd argue sports teach children not just physical skills, but genuine lessons in perseverance and cooperation.

    • FCSo I'd argue sports teach children not just physical skills, but genuine lessons in perseverance and cooperation. The verb 'argue' frames this closing as a considered claim being defended, rather than simply stated, giving it more rhetorical weight than 6.5's plain statement or 7.0's softer 'I'd say'. It reads as a confident, well-supported conclusion.动词'argue'把这个结尾构建成了一个正在被辩护的、经过深思熟虑的论点,而不只是简单陈述,比6.5的平淡陈述或者7.0那个更柔和的'I'd say'更具修辞分量。它读起来是一个自信、有充分依据支撑的结论。
    • LRgradually found her voiceThis is a vivid, idiomatic metaphor for growing confidence, well beyond the literal 'more confident speaking up' used at 6.5. It shows the kind of natural, figurative language that marks 7.5 lexical resource.这是一个生动、地道的比喻,用来形容不断增长的自信,远远超越了6.5使用的那个字面化的'more confident speaking up'。它展示出的是标志着7.5词汇资源的那种自然、具比喻色彩的语言。
    • GRAI remember her describing one match her team lost badly; although she was genuinely disappointed, her coach steered the team toward focusing on what they'd done well rather than dwelling on the loss. This sentence uses a semicolon to join the anecdote to a concessive clause, followed by a further contrastive phrase, managing more layers of meaning in one sentence than either lower band. That layered, semicolon-linked structure is characteristic of wide grammatical range.这个句子用了一个分号把小故事和一个让步分句连接起来,后面又跟着一个进一步的对比短语,在一个句子里管理的意义层次比两个低分档都要多。这种用分号连接的多层次结构,正是广泛语法范围的特征。

States the tool's benefit in a short, direct sentence, without the more specific verbs the higher bands use.用一个简短、直接的句子陈述了这个工具的好处,没有用到高分档使用的那些更具体的动词。

Technology is used in almost every part of sports, from training to competitions. My friend Huy, who plays tennis at a local club in Da Nang, uses a smart sensor on his racket. It tracks things like swing speed, angle, and where the ball hits the racket. After his matches, he checks the data on an app, and uses video from his GoPro to improve his training. I think these tools help him notice mistakes he might miss otherwise. Gadgets can't replace real coaching, but they do give athletes more information about how they are performing.

    • FCI think these tools help him notice mistakes he might miss otherwise.A short, direct statement of the tool's benefit, typical of 6.5's plain reasoning. The higher bands express the same idea with more specific verbs, giving the point more precision.一个简短、直接的关于这个工具好处的陈述,这是6.5平实推理的典型特征。高分档用更具体的动词表达了同样的想法,让这一点更精准。
    • LRchecks the data on an appThis is plain, functional vocabulary for a common action. 7.5 upgrades the equivalent phrase to 'pores over the stats on an app', a more vivid, idiomatic verb for close, careful checking.这是描述一个常见动作时用的平实、有功能性的词汇。7.5把这个对应短语升级成了'pores over the stats on an app',这是一个更生动、更地道的动词,用来表示仔细、专注地检查。
    • GRAAfter his matches, he checks the data on an app, and uses video from his GoPro to improve his training. This sentence joins two actions loosely with 'and also', clear but simple coordination. 7.5 tightens a similar idea using the more formal verb phrase 'cross-references them with', combining both actions into a single tighter clause.这个句子用'and also'松散地连接了两个动作,清楚但结构简单的并列。7.5用更正式的动词短语'cross-references them with'收紧了一个类似的想法,把两个动作合并进了一个更紧凑的分句里。

Adds the hedge 'Honestly' and the phrase 'right through to' to give the opening a more spoken rhythm than a flat statement.加入了缓冲语'Honestly'和短语'right through to',比一个平淡的陈述给开头带来了更口语化的节奏。

Honestly, technology shows up in almost every part of sports these days, from training right through to competitions. • FCHonestly, technology shows up in almost every part of sports these days, from training right through to competitions. The hedge 'Honestly' plus the phrase 'right through to' gives this opening more spoken rhythm than 6.5's flatter version. 7.5 achieves a similarly natural rhythm without the explicit hedge, using the verb 'threads through' instead for a more vivid effect.缓冲语'Honestly'加上短语'right through to',比6.5那个更平淡的版本,给这个开头带来了更口语化的节奏。7.5在没有明确缓冲语的情况下达到了类似的自然节奏,改用动词'threads through'来达到更生动的效果。

    • GRAwhich tracks things like swing speed, angle, and even the exact impact point every time he hits the ballThis relative clause attaches directly to 'a smart sensor', efficiently adding detail without a new sentence, a reasonably advanced structure. 7.5 uses a similar relative clause but integrates it even more tightly by dropping 'which' in favour of 'that', a marginally more compact and fluent variant.这个定语从句直接依附在'a smart sensor'上,有效地增添了细节而不需要另起一句,这是一个相当高级的结构。7.5用了一个类似的定语从句,但通过用'that'代替'which',把它融合得更紧密,这是一个稍微更紧凑、更流畅的变体。

Technology, I'd say, now threads through almost every part of sport, from training right through to competition day. A friend of mine, Huy, who plays tennis at a local club here in Da Nang, uses a smart sensor clipped to his racket that tracks swing speed, angle and even the exact point of impact on every single shot. After matches, he pores over the stats on an app and cross-references them with video replays from his GoPro to fine-tune his training. I'd say these tools help him catch weaknesses that would otherwise slip past unnoticed. Gadgets obviously can't replace real coaching, but they undeniably give athletes far deeper insight into how they're actually performing.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCGadgets obviously can't replace real coaching, but they undeniably give athletes far deeper insight into how they're actually performing. The paired adverbs 'obviously' and 'undeniably' frame this closing contrast with more rhetorical confidence than the plainer versions at 6.5 and 7.0. It reads as a firmly argued, balanced conclusion rather than a simple final fact.成对的副词'obviously'和'undeniably',用比6.5和7.0那些更平淡的版本更具修辞自信的方式,构建了这个结尾的对比。它读起来是一个坚定论证、平衡的结论,而不是一个简单的最终事实。
    • LRthreads through almost every part of sport'Threads through' is a precise, slightly literary metaphor for something being present throughout a system, well beyond the plain 'is used in almost every part of' at 6.5. It exemplifies the kind of natural, image-based vocabulary expected at 7.5.'Threads through'是一个精准、略带文学色彩的比喻,用来表示某样东西贯穿于一个系统之中,远远超越了6.5使用的那个平淡的'is used in almost every part of'。它例证了7.5所期待的那种自然、以画面为基础的词汇。

Managing four layers of modification without losing clarity is a clear marker of the wide grammatical range expected at 7.5.这个句子在一个单元里嵌套了一个同位语、一个定语从句、一个过去分词短语,以及另一个定语从句。在不失清晰度的情况下驾驭四层修饰结构,清楚地标志着7.5所期待的广泛语法范围。
