范文:6.5、7.0、7.5 三档

同一题目的三个版本,分别写到对应分数的真实水平——对比着看,能清楚看到分数之间到底差在哪里。

6.5 分

The 6.5 answer gives a clear, factual description of Khánh's videos ('Her videos are short, usually about one minute') and one concrete example of a place discovered through her content, typical of the plain, direct style of Band 6.5.Band 6.5 的答案对阿庆(Khánh)的视频做了清楚、陈述事实式的描述(比如'她的视频很短,通常只有一分钟左右'),并给出一个通过她的内容了解到某个地方的具体例子,是 Band 6.5 那种朴素、直接风格的典型表现。

The person I follow regularly on social media is a young woman called Khánh, who makes food videos on TikTok. I don't know her personally, but I came across her account about a year ago while scrolling through my phone one evening.

Khánh mainly reviews street food in Da Nang and Hoi An, places like small bánh xèo stalls or noodle shops that tourists usually don't know about. Her videos are short, usually about one minute, and she always shows the price and gives an honest opinion, saying clearly if a place is not good.

I follow her because her recommendations are really useful and trustworthy. A few months ago, I found a small bánh mì shop close to Dragon Bridge through her video, and it became one of my favourite lunch places now. She also talks a little about the history of some dishes, which I find interesting, since I love Vietnamese food but don't know much about its background.

I think I follow her mainly because her content is practical and honest, not like some influencers who just make everything look perfect. Thanks to her, I have discovered several good, cheap places to eat that I probably would never have found by myself.

  • LRpractical and honestThe plain, common adjectives 'practical and honest' evaluate her content simply, without reaching for more varied or precise vocabulary, fitting Band 6.5.'practical and honest'(实用又真诚)这类简单常见的形容词朴素地评价了她的内容,没有去追求更丰富或更精准的词汇,符合 Band 6.5。
  • FCI follow her because her recommendations are really useful and trustworthy. The main reason for following Khánh — that her recommendations are useful and trustworthy — is given directly through a single because-clause, with the concrete example (the bánh mì shop) arriving only in the next sentence rather than being folded into this one. That plain, single-clause statement of reason is the Band 6.5 pattern: clear and direct, but not yet combined with its supporting evidence.说话人关注 Khánh 的主要原因——她推荐的东西有用又可靠——是通过一个单一的 because 从句直接给出的,具体例子(那家 bánh mì 店)要到下一句才出现,而不是并入这一句里。这种用单一从句陈述理由的方式是 Band 6.5 的典型模式:清楚、直接,但还没有和支撑证据结合在一起。
  • GRAsince I love Vietnamese food but don't know much about its background"Since I love Vietnamese food but don't know much about its background" combines a since-clause with a simple "but" contrast — one layer of subordination plus one coordination, both used correctly but not combined into anything more ambitious. That's the ceiling of Band 6.5 grammar: enough complexity to sound natural, without stacking further clauses the way a 7.0 sentence typically would.“Since I love Vietnamese food but don't know much about its background”把一个 since 从句和一个简单的“but”转折结合在一起——一层从属结构加一层并列结构,两者都用得正确,但没有再组合出更有野心的东西。这正是 Band 6.5 语法的天花板:足够复杂以听起来自然,但没有像 Band 7.0 句子通常会做的那样再叠加更多从句。
7.0 分

The 7.0 answer develops the description with a bit more reflection, such as comparing her honesty to 'people performing perfect lives', and links ideas with natural connectors like 'in a good way' and 'on a more personal level'.Band 7.0 的答案在描述中多加了一点思考,比如把她的真诚和'那些展示完美生活的人'做对比,并用'但这恰恰是好的地方''从更私人的角度来说'这类自然的连接词把想法串联起来。

The person I follow most regularly is a woman called Thu, who runs a small coffee farm in the hills outside Da Lat. She isn't especially famous - maybe forty thousand followers - and I first came across her three years ago when a colleague shared one of her videos in our studio group chat, joking that it was 'more relaxing than our meetings'.

What she posts is quite simple and unpolished, in a good way. Sometimes it's just a two-minute clip of coffee beans being turned on a drying rack while she explains why that week's batch looks darker than usual. Other times it's a video of her standing in the rain, saying the harvest will be late and the prices will probably rise, and that there's not much she can do about it. She talks a lot about weather, soil, the prices she gets from wholesalers, and mistakes she's made along the way - once she mentioned losing a whole batch because she tried a new drying method that didn't work out.

I think I follow her for two main reasons. First, in a feed full of people performing perfect lives, she seems to be one of the few people just honestly reporting hers - nothing is staged, and the lighting is simply whatever the sky happens to be doing that day. Second, on a more personal level, watching someone who understands her craft that deeply reminds me what real expertise looks like, especially the way she can apparently tell how dry a bean is just from the sound it makes. I design software for a living, so my material is basically invisible, and her videos make me want to know my own craft as well as she clearly knows hers.

Also, I now buy her coffee every month, so she might be the one person I follow who has actually improved my mornings.

  • FCon a more personal level, watching someone who understands her craft that deeplyThe transition phrase 'on a more personal level' explicitly signals a shift from the first, more general reason (authenticity in a staged feed) to a second, individual one (professional admiration), giving the answer a visibly signposted two-part structure rather than a flat list. A 6.5 answer would likely give just one reason without this layering; a 7.5 answer might integrate the two reasons through a tighter reflective through-line. This explicit move from general to personal is the fuller development 7.0 calls for, setting up the comparison between Thu's tactile expertise and the narrator's own 'invisible' craft.
  • LRimproved my mornings'Improved my mornings' repurposes a fairly ordinary verb, usually paired with abstract nouns like 'skills,' onto something small and concrete — a daily coffee ritual — creating a slightly unexpected but natural collocation instead of a flat 'I like her coffee.' A 6.5 answer would likely just say 'I buy her coffee now'; a 7.5 answer might push the phrase further into something more figurative. This modest, precise reuse of common vocabulary in a fresh combination is the 'one natural collocation' 7.0 specifically asks for, and it gives the closing line its understated humour.'Improved my mornings' 把一个相当普通、通常与 'skills' 这类抽象名词搭配的动词,重新用在了一件微小而具体的事情上——每天买咖啡的小仪式——创造出一种略带意外却依然自然的搭配,而不是平淡地说 'I like her coffee'。Band 6.5的答案很可能只会说 'I buy her coffee now';Band 7.5的答案则可能把这个说法进一步推向更具比喻色彩的方向。这种在新颖组合中对常见词汇加以克制而精准的再利用,正是Band 7.0所特别要求的“一处自然的搭配”,也为结尾这句话增添了一丝含蓄的幽默感。
  • GRAshe can apparently tell how dry a bean is just from the sound it makesThe hedge 'apparently' softens a bold factual claim, while the embedded indirect question ('how dry a bean is') sits as the object of the main clause, capped by a reduced relative clause ('the sound it makes'). A 6.5 answer would likely state this fact plainly and directly, without the hedge or layered structure; a 7.5 answer might additionally use a cleft to emphasise the skill. This accurate, multi-part embedding is the comfortable complex grammar 7.0 targets, and it's the single concrete image that makes Thu's expertise vivid rather than abstract.

The 7.5 answer ends with the sharp, self-aware line 'my material is invisible', drawing a reflective parallel between the writer's own profession and the farmer's craft, characteristic of the evaluative depth of Band 7.5.Band 7.5 的答案以'我做的东西是看不见的'这句犀利而自省的话收尾,在作者自己的职业和这位农场主的手艺之间画出了一条反思性的平行线,体现出 Band 7.5 特有的评价深度。

The person I follow most regularly is a woman called Thu, who runs a small coffee farm in the hills outside Da Lat. She's not famous — maybe forty thousand followers — and I came across her three years ago when a colleague shared one of her videos in our studio group chat with the comment 'this is more relaxing than our meetings'.

What she posts is almost aggressively unpolished. A two-minute clip of beans being turned on a drying rack while she explains why this week's batch is darker. A video of her standing in the rain saying the harvest will be late and prices will go up and there's nothing she can do about it. Sometimes she answers questions from followers about how to brew properly at home, usually while doing something else with her hands. She talks about weather, soil, the price she gets from wholesalers, mistakes she's made — once a whole batch ruined because she trusted a new drying method.

I follow her, I think, for two reasons. The first is that in a feed full of people performing their lives, she's the one person who seems to be simply reporting hers. Nothing is staged; the lighting is whatever the sky is doing. The second reason is professional, oddly. She's a master of a physical craft, and watching someone who knows their material that deeply — who can tell a bean's moisture by the sound it makes — reminds me what expertise actually looks like. I design software; my material is invisible. Her videos make me want to know my own craft the way she knows hers.

Also, I now buy her coffee every month, so she's the only person I follow who's genuinely improved my mornings.

  • LRmaster of a physical craft'Master of a physical craft' is a precise, somewhat elevated noun phrase — rather than a plainer description like 'very skilled' — that explicitly categorises Thu's expertise as a specific type, hands-on and physical, setting up the direct contrast with the narrator's own 'invisible' software work later in the paragraph. A 7.0 answer would likely use a plainer phrase like 'really good at what she does'; this more exact, almost formal phrase is the precise, less-common vocabulary the 7.5 descriptor calls for, deployed naturally rather than as a display.'Master of a physical craft' 是一个精确、略显庄重的名词短语——而不是像 'very skilled' 这样平淡的描述——明确地把Thu的专业能力归类为一种特定类型:动手的、身体性的技艺,为后文中叙述者自身那种“看不见”的软件工作形成直接对比作了铺垫。Band 7.0的答案很可能会用像 'really good at what she does' 这样更平淡的说法;而这个更精确、近乎正式的表达,正是Band 7.5描述语所要求的那种精准、不太常见的词汇,自然地运用其中,而非刻意展示。
  • GRAwatching someone who knows their material that deeplyThe relative clause 'who knows their material that deeply' is embedded as the object of 'watching,' itself modified by the colloquial intensifier 'that,' with the whole construction sitting inside a longer sentence about professional admiration. A 7.0 answer would likely simplify this into two shorter sentences ('She knows her material well. I like watching that.'); this compact embedding, sustained accurately across a longer sentence, is the wider grammatical range 7.5 targets, leading directly into the parallel example about identifying bean moisture by sound.定语从句 'who knows their material that deeply' 作为 'watching' 的宾语被嵌入其中,其自身又被口语化的加强词 'that' 所修饰,整个结构都嵌套在一句关于职业钦佩的更长句子里。Band 7.0的答案很可能会把这个内容简化成两句更短的话('She knows her material well. I like watching that.');而这种紧凑的嵌入,在一个更长的句子中准确无误地维持下来,正是Band 7.5所追求的更宽广的语法范围,并直接引出后文关于通过声音判断咖啡豆湿度这一并列例子。
  • FCI design software; my material is invisible. The semicolon links two short independent clauses into a single, punchy contrast between Thu's tangible craft and the narrator's abstract one, deliberately avoiding a connecting word like 'but' to keep the rhythm tight and conversational. A 7.0 answer would likely use a fuller conjunction to join these ideas, softening the contrast; this compressed, almost aphoristic juxtaposition delivers a sharp reflective insight in very few words, exactly the strong fluency and coherence the 7.5 descriptor rewards over more padded phrasing.

Opens the answer with a flat 'No,' and links the two family habits with a simple 'but'.用一个平淡的 'No,' 开篇,并用简单的 'but' 连接两代人的习惯对比。

No, and in my family the gap is really big. My father listens to the radio every morning and reads a printed newspaper at lunch, but I have never turned on a radio in my life — my news just comes from a feed I didn't really choose. Older people trust media from a known source, like a station or a newspaper, but younger people trust individual people, even ones they've never met. Television is in the middle; my parents watch it live and my sister watches clips the next day. The only thing both groups share now is messaging apps.

    • FCbut I have never turned on a radio in my lifeThe contrast between father and speaker is joined with a basic 'but'. The 7.0/7.5 versions replace this with the more formal connector 'whereas' or a semicolon, which reads as more controlled.父亲和说话者之间的对比是用一个基础的 'but' 连接起来的。7.0/7.5版本把它换成了更正式的连接词 'whereas' 或直接用分号,读起来更显掌控力。
    • LRa known sourceThis phrase is plain but accurate. It is reused unchanged at 7.0 and 7.5, showing it is already pitched at an appropriate level across bands, while the surrounding sentence structure is what actually develops.这个短语平实但准确。它在7.0和7.5中原封不动地被沿用,说明这个表达本身在各个分数段都已经处于恰当的水平,真正在发展变化的是它周围的句子结构。
    • GRAOlder people trust media from a known source, like a station or a newspaper, but younger people trust individual people, even ones they've never met. This long sentence is built entirely with coordinating conjunctions ('but'). Higher bands replace this with the subordinator 'while', which more clearly signals a direct contrast within a single clause.这句长句完全靠并列连词('but')搭建起来。higher bands 把它换成了从属连词'while',能更清楚地在同一分句内标示出直接对比关系。
    7.0 分

Uses 'whereas' for the main contrast and 'Honestly' to frame the final observation.用 'whereas' 来表达主要的对比,并用 'Honestly' 来引出最后的结论。

No, and in my family the gap is total. My father has the radio on every morning and reads a printed newspaper at lunch, whereas I've never turned on a radio in my life, and my news simply arrives through a feed I didn't consciously choose. I'd say older people tend to trust media with a known source — a station, a paper, a presenter — while younger people trust individuals, often ones they've never met. Television sits somewhere in the middle; my parents watch it live and my sister watches clips of it the next day. Honestly, the one thing both groups still share is messaging apps.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCwhereas I've never turned on a radio in my lifeThe subordinator 'whereas' signals contrast more precisely than the plain 'but' used at 6.5. The 7.5 version drops the conjunction altogether, using a semicolon instead for an even more compact contrast.从属连词 'whereas' 比6.5中平实的 'but' 更精确地标示出对比关系。7.5版本干脆去掉了连词,改用分号,让对比更加紧凑。
    • LRconsciously chooseThis is a more precise verb phrase than a plain word like 'pick', capturing the idea of passive algorithmic exposure. It's reused identically at 7.5, showing it already fits the top band.这是一个比 'pick' 这类平实词语更精确的动词短语,准确捕捉到了被动接受算法推送这一概念。它在7.5中被原样沿用,说明它已经适合最高分段。
    • GRAwhile younger people trust individuals, often ones they've never metThe subordinator 'while' creates a tighter single-clause contrast than the 6.5 version's separate 'but' clause. It's identical to the 7.5 structure, though 7.5 surrounds it with a semicolon-linked sentence rather than a full stop before it.从属连词 'while' 构建出的单句对比比6.5版本中用 'but' 另起分句的方式更紧凑。它和7.5的结构一致,只是7.5在它前面用分号连接的句子,而不是用句号断开。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCI've never turned on a radio in my life, and my news arrives through a feed I didn't consciously choose. The semicolon before this clause replaces the conjunction 'whereas' used at 7.0, creating a tighter, more literary contrast than either the 6.5 or 7.0 versions.这个分句前的分号取代了7.0中使用的连词 'whereas',营造出比6.5或7.0都更紧凑、更具文学感的对比。
    • LRliving in different information worldsThis is a vivid, slightly abstract metaphor for a media gap, going beyond the plain 6.5 phrase 'the gap is really big' and the more literal 7.0 phrasing.这是一个生动、略带抽象色彩的隐喻,用来形容媒体代沟,比6.5中平实的 'the gap is really big' 和7.0更直白的表达都更进了一步。
    • GRAbeyond that, we're essentially living in different information worlds, which explains a fair few family argumentsThe relative clause 'which explains...' is attached directly to the end of the sentence, adding a causal conclusion in the same breath rather than as a separate sentence, unlike the simpler final sentences at 6.5 and 7.0.关系从句 'which explains...' 直接接在句尾,一口气加上了因果性的结论,而不是另起一句,这和6.5、7.0更简单的结尾句不同。

Uses the plain contrast opener 'but not so good' and a short closing sentence with 'but'.用平实的转折开头 'but not so good',并以一句带 'but' 的简短结语收尾。

Good at making people notice, but not so good at anything after that. A post about a dirty canal in Da Nang went viral last year, and the canal was cleaned within two weeks — no petition could have done that so fast. Social media is great at making one problem visible to a million people overnight. The problem is that people's attention moves on fast, so issues that need years of work only get a week of anger and then silence. It also likes dramatic stories more than important ones. So it's a good spotlight, but a spotlight isn't a solution.

    • FCno petition could have done that so fastThis is a simple comparative claim. The 7.0/7.5 versions extend it with the more specific 'no petition or committee could have managed/pulled that off', adding a second example and a more idiomatic verb.这是一个简单的比较性论断。7.0/7.5版本用更具体的 'no petition or committee could have managed/pulled that off' 扩展了它,增加了第二个例子和一个更地道的动词。
    • LRmaking people noticeThis is a plain, general verb phrase. The 7.0/7.5 versions replace it with the more precise noun 'highlighting', which matches the register of the question itself.这是一个平实、笼统的动词短语。7.0/7.5版本把它换成了更精确的名词 'highlighting',与问题本身的语域相匹配。
    • GRAThe problem is that people's attention moves on fast, so issues that need years of work only get a week of anger and then silence. This sentence links cause and effect with a simple 'so'. It's the same basic logic used at 7.0/7.5, but those versions attach an extra clause afterwards ('it also rewards...') within the same flow of ideas rather than as a fully separate point.这句话用一个简单的 'so' 把因果关系连接起来。7.0/7.5用的是同样的基本逻辑,但那两个版本在后面又接了一个分句('it also rewards...'),把它纳入同一思路之中,而不是另起一个独立的论点。

Adds 'I'd say' to soften the opening claim and uses a semicolon before the final example.加上 'I'd say' 来软化开头的论断,并在最后的例子前使用分号。

Good at highlighting, less good at anything after that, I'd say. A post about a stinking canal in Da Nang went viral last year, and the canal was cleaned within two weeks — no petition or committee could have managed that. Social media is genuinely brilliant at making one problem visible to a million people overnight. The weakness is that attention moves on just as fast, so issues needing years of work get a week of outrage and then silence. It also rewards the dramatic over the important; a rare disease with a moving video beats a common one without. So it's a good spotlight, but people sometimes mistake sharing for actually doing something.

    • FCI'd sayThis hedge softens the opening judgement, a more natural spoken device than the flat 6.5 opener 'Good at making people notice, but not so good'. The 7.5 version drops the hedge for a more confident, unhedged opening.这个缓和语让开头的判断显得更柔和,是比6.5中平铺直叙的 'Good at making people notice, but not so good' 更自然的口语手法。7.5版本去掉了这个缓和语,开头更显自信、不加保留。
    • LRrewards the dramatic over the importantThis is a precise, slightly abstract collocation for a media bias, well beyond the plain 6.5 phrase 'likes dramatic stories more than important ones'.这是一个精确、略带抽象色彩的搭配,用来形容媒体的偏向性,远超6.5中平实的 'likes dramatic stories more than important ones'。
    • GRAa rare disease with a moving video beats a common one withoutThis sentence uses ellipsis, dropping the repeated words after 'one' ('a moving video'), a more economical structure than spelling everything out. The 6.5 answer doesn't attempt this kind of comparison at all.这句话用了省略手法,在 'one' 之后省去了重复的词语('a moving video'),比把话全部说完更简练。6.5的回答根本没有尝试这种比较句式。

Uses the more literary connector 'The catch is' and the compact closing pair 'a good spotlight, but a spotlight isn't a solution'.使用更具文学色彩的连接语 'The catch is',并以紧凑的收尾对句 'a good spotlight, but a spotlight isn't a solution' 作结。

Good at highlighting, considerably less good at anything after that. A post about a stinking canal in Da Nang went viral last year, and the canal was cleaned within a fortnight — no petition or committee could have pulled that off. Social media is genuinely brilliant at making one problem visible to a million people overnight. The catch is that attention moves on just as fast, so issues that need years of steady work get a week of outrage and then silence. It also rewards the dramatic over the merely important; a rare disease with a moving video beats a common one without. So it's a good spotlight, but a spotlight isn't a solution, and people sometimes mistake sharing for doing.

    • FCThe catch is that attention moves on just as fastThis phrase frames the weakness more elegantly than the plain 6.5 opener 'The problem is' and slightly more so than 7.0's 'The weakness is'.这个短语把这一弱点表达得比6.5中平实的开头 'The problem is' 更优雅,也比7.0的 'The weakness is' 略胜一筹。
    • LRpulled that offThis idiomatic phrasal verb is more natural and conversational than the plain 6.5 verb 'done' and marginally more colloquial than 7.0's 'managed'.这个地道的短语动词比6.5中平实的动词 'done' 更自然、更口语化,也比7.0的 'managed' 略微更口语一些。
    • GRAa good spotlight, but a spotlight isn't a solution, and people sometimes mistake sharing for doingThe repetition of 'spotlight' across the clause boundary is a deliberate rhetorical device that neither lower band attempts, adding emphasis through structure rather than just vocabulary.'spotlight' 一词跨分句的重复,是一种刻意为之的修辞手法,两个较低分段都没有尝试过,它是通过结构而非单纯词汇来加强语气的。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCThere's also a psychological reason:This is signalled with the plain connector 'also', which adds the point clearly but simply. The 7.0/7.5 versions use 'too' after the noun instead, folding the addition into the sentence more smoothly.这里用平实的连接词 'also' 来标示,清楚但简单地加上了这一点。7.0/7.5版本改用名词之后的 'too',把补充信息更顺畅地融入句子里。
    • LRthe base for almost everything else in lifeThis is a workable but slightly loose paraphrase of 'infrastructure'. The 7.0/7.5 versions use the more precise, technical noun 'infrastructure' directly, which is a stronger lexical choice for this context.这是对 'infrastructure' 一词一种可行但略显松散的改述。7.0/7.5版本直接用了更精确、更专业的名词 'infrastructure',在这个语境下是更有力的词汇选择。
    • GRAMy studio finds clients through it, my landlord collects rent through it, and my grandmother's church group organises through it, all on the same app.Three parallel clauses are joined with commas and 'and', ending in a trailing phrase 'all on the same app'. Higher bands replace the trailing phrase with a dash-led aside instead, which is a slightly more integrated way of adding the same detail.三个并列分句用逗号和 'and' 连接,最后以一个附加短语 'all on the same app' 收尾。higher bands 把这个附加短语换成了一个破折号引出的插入语,是把同样的细节加进去的一种更融合的方式。

It's free, it's already on the phone that never leaves your hand, and it combines news, entertainment, shopping and friendship in one place, which no earlier medium managed. 为什么是这个分数

    • FCand by now leaving would mean leaving the conversation entirelyThis final clause extends the closing sentence with a consequence, going further than the simpler final sentence at 6.5 ('Once enough people joined, everyone else had to follow too.') and slightly further than 7.0's similar but shorter ending.这个结尾分句为最后一句加上了一个后果性的延伸,比6.5中更简单的结尾句('Once enough people joined, everyone else had to follow too.')走得更远,也比7.0类似但更短的结尾略进一步。
    • LRa very old human needThis phrase captures a psychological universal precisely; it is close to 7.0's identical wording but slightly more developed than 6.5's plainer 'an old human need', since 7.5 also adds 'deeper' just before it.这个短语精确地捕捉到了一种普遍的心理现象;它和7.0几乎用词相同,但比6.5中更平实的 'an old human need' 略有发展,因为7.5在它前面还加了 'deeper' 一词。
    • GRAthe same app, in each caseThis dash-led aside is grammatically identical in function to the one at 7.0 but is followed by a further coordinated result clause at the end of the answer, making the overall sentence structure of the answer more layered than either 6.5 or 7.0.这个破折号引出的插入语在功能上和7.0中的那个完全相同,但在回答结尾又接了一个并列的结果分句,使整段回答的句子结构比6.5或7.0都更有层次。

Explains the weakness with a plain 'Where they work less well is trust, because...' construction.用一个平实的 'Where they work less well is trust, because...' 句式来解释这个弱点。

Very effective, and I have mixed feelings about that because I've helped make it happen. My studio built a campaign for a client on Shopee that worked mainly because the ads looked like recommendations from friends instead of adverts — that mixing is the whole trick. Social media ads reach exactly the people who are likely to buy, at the moment they're bored and scrolling, and they can be changed within hours. Where they work less well is trust, because people now know the enthusiastic reviewer was probably paid. Cheap, quick-decision products sell brilliantly this way; things that need real trust, less so.

    • FCWhere they work less well is trust, because people now know the enthusiastic reviewer was probably paid. The reasoning is spelled out fully with 'because', which is clear but leaves little room for compression. The 7.0/7.5 versions replace the second half with a colon, which is a more economical way to attach the explanation.这里用 'because' 把理由完整说出来,清楚但压缩空间不大。7.0/7.5版本把后半句换成了冒号,是一种更简洁的方式来接续解释。
    • LRthat mixing is the whole trickThis is an adequate but slightly informal way to describe the technique. The 7.0/7.5 versions use the more precise, almost technical noun 'blurring', which better captures the deliberate confusion between ads and recommendations.这是一种可行但略显随意的方式来描述这种手法。7.0/7.5版本用了更精确、近乎专业术语的名词 'blurring',更能捕捉到广告与推荐之间那种刻意制造的混淆感。
    • GRACheap, quick-decision products sell brilliantly this way; things that need real trust, less so.This sentence uses ellipsis in the second clause ('less so' standing in for a full verb phrase), which is already fairly advanced. It closely matches the structure used at 7.0/7.5, showing this particular device is available across bands while other parts of the sentence develop further.这句话在第二个分句里用了省略手法('less so' 代替了完整的动词短语),这已经算是相当高级的用法了。它和7.0/7.5使用的结构十分接近,说明这个特定手法在各个分段都可用,而句子的其他部分则在进一步发展。

Social media ads reach exactly the people likely to buy, at the moment they're bored and scrolling, and they can be tested and changed within hours. Where they're less effective, honestly, is trust: people increasingly know the enthusiastic reviewer was paid, and the reaction is cynicism about everything. 为什么是这个分数

    • FChonestly, is trust:The hedge 'honestly' is inserted mid-sentence before the colon, softening a fairly blunt claim in a natural spoken way. The 6.5 version states the same idea with a flat 'is trust, because...' and no hedge at all.缓和语 'honestly' 被插入到句中冒号之前,以一种自然的口语方式软化了一个相当直白的论断。6.5版本用平铺直叙的 'is trust, because...' 表达同样的意思,完全没有加缓和语。
    • LRthat blurring is really the whole trickThis upgrades the plain 6.5 noun 'mixing' to the more precise 'blurring', with 'really' adding conversational emphasis. The 7.5 version keeps 'blurring' but drops 'really' for a slightly more measured tone.这把6.5中平实的名词 'mixing' 升级成了更精确的 'blurring',还加了 'really' 来增添口语化的强调语气。7.5版本保留了 'blurring',但去掉了 'really',语气略显克制。
    • GRAWhere they're less effective, honestly, is trust: people increasingly know the enthusiastic reviewer was paid, and the reaction is cynicism about everything. The colon attaches the explanation directly to the claim, more economical than the 6.5 version's 'because' clause. It's very close to the 7.5 structure, though 7.5 adds the extra modifier 'creeping' before 'cynicism' for more precision.冒号把解释直接接到论断后面,比6.5版本中用 'because' 分句更简洁。它和7.5的结构非常接近,只是7.5在 'cynicism' 前又加了修饰语 'creeping',表达更精确。

    • LRa creeping cynicism about everythingThe modifier 'creeping' adds a precise, almost literary sense of gradual spread that neither lower band attempts; 7.0 has the plainer 'cynicism about everything' with no modifier.修饰语 'creeping' 增添了一种精确、近乎文学化的、逐渐蔓延的意味,两个较低分段都没有尝试过;7.0只有更平实的 'cynicism about everything',没有任何修饰语。

Radio survives in taxis and among old people, and in my parents' area there's still a public loudspeaker announcing local news at six in the morning, which people complain about but would probably miss. Printed newspapers have shrunk a lot but haven't fully disappeared from cafés. What's special here is how fast the country jumped from loudspeakers straight to smartphones.

    • FChaven't fully disappeared from cafésThis closing phrase is plain and functional. The 7.0/7.5 versions vary this to 'haven't disappeared from cafés entirely' and 'haven't vanished from cafés altogether', showing more natural placement of the qualifying adverb.这个结尾短语平实且实用。7.0/7.5版本分别变换成了 'haven't disappeared from cafés entirely' 和 'haven't vanished from cafés altogether',体现出限定性副词更自然的位置安排。
    • LRVietnam uses them a huge amountThis is a vague, slightly awkward way of describing heavy usage. The 7.0/7.5 versions replace it with the more precise, idiomatic phrase 'one of the heaviest-using countries in the world' / 'one of the heaviest users in the world'.这是一种模糊、略显笨拙的方式来描述高使用率。7.0/7.5版本换成了更精确、更地道的短语 'one of the heaviest-using countries in the world' / 'one of the heaviest users in the world'。
    • GRAwhich people complain about but would probably missThis relative clause uses the simple contrastive 'but'. It's structurally close to the versions at 7.0/7.5, which use 'and' instead of 'but' before an intensified verb ('would honestly/genuinely miss'), showing a subtly more controlled contrast.这个关系从句用了简单的转折词 'but'。结构上它和7.0/7.5的版本接近,后者在一个加强语气的动词('would honestly/genuinely miss')前用了 'and' 而不是 'but',展现出一种更微妙、更有掌控力的对比。

Uses 'I'd say' to hedge the opening claim and 'honestly' before the closing verb.用 'I'd say' 软化开头的论断,并在结尾的动词前加上 'honestly'。

Social media dominates, I'd say, especially Facebook, Zalo and TikTok — Vietnam is one of the heaviest-using countries in the world. Television is still huge for older people and for national events like football, when the whole country watches the same match. Radio survives mainly in taxis and among the elderly, and in my parents' neighbourhood there's still a public loudspeaker announcing local news at six in the morning, which people complain about and would honestly miss. Printed newspapers have shrunk badly but haven't disappeared from cafés entirely. What's distinctive here is how quickly the country skipped straight from loudspeakers to smartphones, almost without a generation of desktop internet in between.

    • FCI'd say,This hedge softens the flat opening claim used at 6.5 ('Social media is the most popular'). The 7.5 version drops the hedge for a more confident, direct opening statement.这个缓和语软化了6.5中平铺直叙的开头论断('Social media is the most popular')。7.5版本去掉了这个缓和语,开头陈述更自信、更直接。
    • LRone of the heaviest-using countries in the worldThis compound adjective is a precise, natural way to describe heavy usage, well beyond the vague 6.5 phrase 'uses them a huge amount'. The 7.5 answer uses a very similar but slightly more idiomatic version, 'one of the heaviest users in the world'.这个复合形容词是描述高使用率的一种精确、自然的方式,远超6.5中模糊的短语 'uses them a huge amount'。7.5的回答用了一个非常相似但略微更地道的版本,'one of the heaviest users in the world'。
    • GRAalmost without a generation of desktop internet in betweenThis reduced clause ('almost without...') compresses an idea that could otherwise need a full sentence, a more economical structure than anything attempted at 6.5. It's close to the 7.5 version but slightly less vivid than 7.5's fuller 'there was barely a generation... squeezed in between'.这个缩减从句('almost without...')把一个原本可能需要一整句话才能表达的想法压缩了进去,比6.5中尝试过的任何结构都更简洁。它和7.5的版本接近,但不如7.5中更完整的 'there was barely a generation... squeezed in between' 那么生动。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCthere was barely a generation of desktop internet squeezed in betweenThis dash-led clause develops the closing observation more fully than 7.0's shorter reduced clause 'almost without a generation of desktop internet in between', and far more than 6.5's version, which stops the sentence without this detail at all.这个破折号引出的分句比7.0中更简短的缩减从句 'almost without a generation of desktop internet in between' 把结尾的观察展开得更充分,也远比6.5的版本充分,后者压根没有加上这个细节就结束了句子。
    • LRskipped straight from loudspeakers to smartphonesThis vivid verb phrase 'skipped straight from... to...' captures a leapfrogging technological shift precisely; it's shared with 7.0 but the surrounding sentence at 7.5 develops the image further with the closing dash clause.这个生动的动词短语 'skipped straight from... to...' 精确地捕捉到了一种跨越式的技术变迁;它和7.0共用同一个短语,但7.5周围的句子通过结尾的破折号分句把这个意象进一步展开了。
    • GRAwhich people complain about and would genuinely missThe relative clause uses 'and' to link two closely related reactions in one smooth flow, and the intensifier 'genuinely' is more understated and natural than 7.0's 'honestly', which sits slightly more awkwardly mid-clause.这个关系从句用 'and' 把两个密切相关的反应流畅地连接在一起,而加强语气的 'genuinely' 比7.0中的 'honestly' 更含蓄、更自然,后者放在分句中间显得略微生硬。

Closes with a plain 'So... but' structure to summarise the two-part opinion.以一个平实的 'So... but' 结构收尾,总结这个分两部分的观点。

Some will, but only as a small habit, not a common one. A café near my office still keeps two newspapers every morning because its older regulars insist on it, and I think in twenty years the same café will keep them just as decoration. Printed news can't compete on speed or price, and every generation reads less of it than the one before. Magazines might do a little better, because a nicely printed object about a hobby feels like an experience, not just information — people pay for that the same way they pay for vinyl records. So I disagree that printed news will continue in any real way, but I half agree about magazines.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSome will, but only as a small habit, not a common one. This opening uses the simple contrastive 'but' to state a qualified opinion. The 7.0/7.5 versions replace 'a small habit, not a common one' with the more precise contrast 'a niche rather than a habit', which is tighter and more idiomatic.这个开头用了简单的转折词 'but' 来陈述一个有所保留的观点。7.0/7.5版本把 'a small habit, not a common one' 换成了更精确的对比 'a niche rather than a habit',更紧凑、更地道。
    • LRkeep them just as decorationThis is a workable but plain closing image. The 7.0/7.5 versions use 'stock them purely/as a kind of decoration', which sounds more natural with the verb 'stock' matching the earlier mention of newspapers being stocked.这是一个可行但平实的结尾意象。7.0/7.5版本用了 'stock them purely/as a kind of decoration',动词 'stock' 与前文提到的报纸备货相呼应,听起来更自然。
    • GRASo I disagree that printed news will continue in any real way, but I half agree about magazines. The two-part conclusion is joined with a simple 'but'. The 7.0/7.5 versions extend the sentence with an additional clause, 'for a small, willing audience', giving a more precise final qualification within the same sentence.这个分两部分的结论用了简单的 'but' 连接。7.0/7.5版本在句子里又加了一个分句 'for a small, willing audience',在同一句话中给出了更精确的最终限定。

Some will, I'd say, but as a niche rather than a habit. A café near my office still stocks two newspapers every morning because its older regulars insist, and I suspect in twenty years the same café will stock them purely as decoration. Printed news simply can't compete on speed or cost, and each generation reads less of it than the last. Magazines might do slightly better, because a nicely printed object about a hobby is an experience rather than just information — people pay for that the way they pay for vinyl records. So I'd disagree that printed news continues in any meaningful sense, though I'd half agree about magazines, for a small, willing audience.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCI'd say,This hedge softens the opening opinion, a more natural spoken device than the flat 6.5 opener 'Some will, but only as a small habit'. The 7.5 version drops the hedge here for a slightly more direct, confident tone.这个缓和语软化了开头的观点,是比6.5中平铺直叙的开头 'Some will, but only as a small habit' 更自然的口语手法。7.5版本在这里去掉了缓和语,语气略微更直接、更自信。
    • LRa niche rather than a habitThis is a precise, slightly abstract contrast that is more sophisticated than the plain 6.5 phrase 'a small habit, not a common one'. The 7.5 answer reuses this exact phrase, confirming it fits the higher bands.这是一个精确、略带抽象色彩的对比,比6.5中平实的短语 'a small habit, not a common one' 更精妙。7.5的回答沿用了完全相同的短语,证实它适合更高的分段。
    • GRAthough I'd half agree about magazines, for a small, willing audienceThe concessive 'though' clause attaches the qualification smoothly to the main conclusion. It's very close to the 7.5 structure, which uses 'and' instead of 'though', showing a slightly different but equally controlled way of linking the same two ideas.让步性的 'though' 分句把限定条件流畅地接到了主要结论后面。它和7.5的结构非常接近,后者用 'and' 代替了 'though',展现出一种略有不同但同样有掌控力的方式来连接同样的两个想法。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo I disagree that printed news will continue in any meaningful sense, and half agree about magazines, for a small, willing audience. This closing sentence states the two-part conclusion directly and confidently, without the softening hedge 'I'd say' used at 7.0 or the simpler 'but' structure at 6.5, yet still ends on the same precise qualification.这句结尾直接、自信地陈述了分两部分的结论,没有用7.0中软化用的 'I'd say',也没有用6.5更简单的 'but' 结构,但最终仍落在同样精确的限定条件上。
    • LRa beautifully printed object about a hobbyThe adjective 'beautifully' adds a vivid, evaluative touch that neither lower band uses; 7.0 has the plainer 'a nicely printed object' and 6.5 the even plainer 'a nicely printed object' as well.形容词 'beautifully' 增添了一种生动、带有评价色彩的笔触,两个较低分段都没有用过;7.0用的是更平实的 'a nicely printed object',6.5也同样是更平实的 'a nicely printed object'。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCThat said, long private chats online can reveal a lot, because people sometimes write things they would never say out loud. This concession is explained fully with 'because', which is clear but explicit. The 7.0/7.5 versions replace 'because' with 'since' or a semicolon, giving the same idea a slightly more varied or compact connection.这个让步用 'because' 完整解释,清楚但直白。7.0/7.5版本把 'because' 换成了 'since' 或分号,让同样的想法在连接方式上更多样或更紧凑一些。

Both at the same time, which is the strange part. During the central Vietnam floods, donations poured in overnight through the same app where, on a normal day, strangers argue nastily with each other in the comments. Social media has made it easy to care about people far away, like a child in another country or a disaster on another coast, and hard to be kind to the person disagreeing with you on screen. It makes bigger whatever you point it at. My honest view is that it hasn't really changed how caring people are; it's changed how visible both the caring and the cruelty are.

    为什么是这个分数

The 7.0/7.5 versions replace it with the more precise, natural verb 'amplifies', which expresses the same idea in one accurate word.这是对“放大”这个概念的一种简单、略显笨拙的改述。7.0/7.5版本把它换成了更精确、更自然的动词 'amplifies',用一个准确的词就表达了同样的意思。

It's close to the 7.5 structure but 7.5 goes one step further still, adding a whole extra reflective sentence after this point.这句话通过在分号后加上一个并列的结尾分句,比6.5版本延伸得更远。它和7.5的结构接近,但7.5又更进一步,在这之后还加了一整句反思性的话。
    7.5 分

Adds a final short reflective sentence, 'Whether that adds up to more or less depends on where you're standing', beyond what the other bands include.加上一句简短的反思结语,'Whether that adds up to more or less depends on where you're standing',这是其他分段都没有的内容。

Both at once, which is the strange thing. During the central Vietnam floods, donations poured in overnight through the same app where, on a normal day, strangers tear each other apart in comment sections. Social media has made it easy to care about people far away — a child in another country, a disaster on another coast — and hard to be decent to the person disagreeing with you on screen. It amplifies whatever you point it at. My honest view is that it hasn't changed how caring people are; it's changed how visible both the caring and the cruelty are, and cruelty is louder. Whether that adds up to more or less depends on where you're standing.

    • FCWhether that adds up to more or less depends on where you're standing. This closing sentence adds a further layer of reflection beyond the semicolon-linked conclusion, a device neither the 6.5 nor the 7.0 answer includes, rounding the answer off with a genuinely open, evaluative final thought.这句结尾在用分号连接的结论之外,又加上了一层反思,这是6.5和7.0的回答都没有的手法,用一个真正开放、带评价色彩的收尾想法把整段回答收拢起来。
    • LRcruelty is louderThis short, punchy closing observation is more compact and confident than 7.0's slightly softer 'cruelty tends to be louder', dropping the hedging verb 'tends to' for a sharper final claim.这个简短、有力的收尾观察,比7.0中略微柔和的 'cruelty tends to be louder' 更紧凑、更自信,去掉了带缓和意味的动词 'tends to',让最后的论断更犀利。
    • GRAit's changed how visible both the caring and the cruelty are, and cruelty is louder. Whether that adds up to more or less depends on where you're standing. Two sentences work together here: a coordinated clause followed by a separate reflective sentence, creating a more layered closing structure than the single extended sentence used at 6.5 and 7.0.这里两句话共同发挥作用:一个并列分句后面跟着一句独立的反思句,构建出比6.5和7.0中单一延伸句更有层次的收尾结构。
