The description stays factual and plain ('The bus station was extremely crowded and loud') and explains the writer's feelings with simple cause-and-effect language, solid but not stretching for variety.这段描述保持客观平实("汽车站极其拥挤嘈杂"),用简单的因果语言解释作者的感受,扎实但没有刻意追求变化。

A noisy place I can remember is the bus station in Hue, my hometown. I went there in February this year, during the Tet holiday, when I travelled back from Da Nang to see my family.

The bus station was extremely crowded and loud. There were staff shouting out the names of the different bus routes, and drivers honking their horns again and again to let people know they were leaving. Many passengers were talking loudly on the phone, and some vendors were walking around selling water, banh mi and snacks, calling out their prices. There was also a loudspeaker announcing arrivals and departures almost non-stop, which made it hard to hear anything else.

Honestly, I did not enjoy the noise at all. I was tired after a long day of packing and travelling, and the constant shouting and honking made me feel a bit stressed and impatient. I just wanted to find my bus and sit down. But once I got home and saw my family again, I forgot about the noise pretty quickly. Now, whenever I think about Tet, that noisy bus station is actually part of the memory, even though I did not like it at the time.

  • LRThe bus station was extremely crowded and loud."Crowded and loud," intensified only by the common adverb "extremely," gives a direct summary of the scene using the two most predictable adjectives available for a busy transport hub, rather than something more specific like "chaotic" or "deafening" that a 7.0+ speaker might reach for. This sentence functions as a topic sentence for the paragraph, with the following sentences (shouting staff, honking drivers, loudspeakers) supplying the concrete detail that actually does the descriptive work. The plainness of the summary adjective choice is squarely within the Band 6.5 lexical ceiling."Crowded and loud," 只用常见副词 "extremely" 加以强化,用两个最容易想到的形容词直接概括了一个繁忙交通枢纽的场景,而不是像 "chaotic" 或 "deafening" 这样更具体的词,后者可能是 Band 7.0+ 水平的说话者会去追求的。这句话在段落中充当主题句,后面的句子(员工大声喊叫、司机按喇叭、扩音喇叭)提供了真正起到描述作用的具体细节。这种概括性形容词选择的朴素程度,正好落在 Band 6.5 的词汇上限之内。
  • FCI just wanted to find my bus and sit down. This sentence states the speaker's immediate goal in the moment as plainly as possible, using the minimiser "just" to suggest simplicity of desire amid the chaos, without elaborating on the discomfort further or building toward a more reflective point. It functions well as a pivot toward the next sentence about forgetting the noise once home, keeping the narrative moving at a steady, uncomplicated pace. This kind of unelaborated, functional statement is typical of the direct-answer approach the Band 6.5 fluency descriptor rewards.这句话用尽可能平实的方式陈述了说话者当下的即时目标,用弱化词 "just" 来暗示在混乱之中愿望的简单,而没有进一步展开这种不适感,也没有朝更具反思性的观点发展。它很好地充当了通向下一句(回家后就忘了噪音)的过渡枢纽,让叙事以一种平稳、不复杂的节奏推进。这种不加展开、纯功能性的陈述,正是 Band 6.5 流利度描述语所奖励的那种直接回答方式的典型表现。
  • GRAthe constant shouting and honking made me feel a bit stressed and impatientThe causative verb pattern "made me feel" links the external noise directly to the internal emotional state in the most basic grammatical way available, rather than using a more varied structure like a result clause ("so I felt...") or a participial construction. It's accurate and the two feeling-adjectives ("stressed and impatient") add a small amount of nuance, but the causative-verb pattern itself is one of the first and simplest ways cause-and-effect gets expressed in English, why it's typical of Band 6.5 grammar. "Constant" is doing useful work here to suggest the noise was continuous rather than intermittent.

The embedded relative clause ('Duy, who loves that kind of atmosphere, kept saying...') and the linked pair of actions in 'I stopped noticing how loud everything was and just focused on watching the fireworks' show the comfortable complex-sentence control expected at Band 7.0.内嵌的关系从句("阿维特别喜欢那种氛围,一直说……")以及"我不再在意有多吵,只是专心看烟花"中连贯的一对动作,都展现出Band 7.0所期望的从容复合句掌控力。

A place I remember being really noisy is along the Han River during the Da Nang Fireworks Festival, which happens every summer. I went there with two workmates, Duy and An, back in June, since none of us wanted to miss the final night of the competition.

We got there a bit late, around seven, and the whole riverside was already packed with people. Street vendors were calling out non-stop, selling everything from grilled corn to light-up toys for kids, and there was a live band playing pop songs on a stage nearby, competing with all the chatter around us. Every few minutes someone's phone speaker would start playing music too, as if the vendors weren't loud enough already. Then, once the fireworks actually started, the booming explosions overhead made it almost impossible to hear anyone talk, and the crowd kept cheering and gasping after each new pattern lit up the sky.

To be honest, it was a bit too much for me at first, since I'm not usually a fan of huge crowds or that much noise all at once. But once the show really got going, I stopped noticing how loud everything was and just focused on watching the fireworks with everyone else around me. Duy, who loves that kind of atmosphere, kept saying how alive the whole place felt, and by the end I actually agreed with him. We stayed until the last firework faded, then spent ages just trying to get our motorbikes out of the crowd, which was its own kind of chaos.

  • GRAas if the vendors weren't loud enough alreadyThe subordinate clause with 'as if' introduces a mildly exaggerated, imagined comparison — treating the phone music as an unnecessary addition to an already-loud scene — rather than a plain factual statement like 'there was also music from phones'. This is a comfortable, accurate use of a slightly more advanced connector than the basic 'because' or 'and', matching Band 7.0's mix of simple and complex sentences, while stopping short of the sustained figurative language a 7.5 answer might build around the same image. It adds a light touch of humour to the otherwise straightforwardly narrated description of the noisy riverside scene.
  • FCI stopped noticing how loud everything was and just focused on watching the fireworksLinking two actions with 'and' — stopping noticing the noise, then focusing on the fireworks — presents a single moment of changing attention as one smooth, continuous experience rather than two separate observations. This kind of natural, connected narration, moving the story forward efficiently, is the Band 7.0 fluency target of linking ideas smoothly, in contrast to a 6.5 answer that would likely state the same idea as two short separate sentences. It also marks the turning point in the anecdote, from initial discomfort with the crowd to eventual enjoyment of the show.
  • GRADuy, who loves that kind of atmosphere, kept saying how alive the whole place feltThe relative clause 'who loves that kind of atmosphere' is embedded in the middle of the sentence, between the subject and the main verb, rather than being tacked on at the end — a more demanding position to place a relative clause accurately. Managing a mid-sentence embedded clause like this without breaking the sentence's flow is the comfortable, accurate complex-grammar control Band 7.0 targets, a step up from the simpler end-positioned relative clauses a 6.5 answer would use, though less varied than the layered structures a 7.5 answer would build. It also efficiently introduces a second character's reaction without needing a separate sentence.

The answer layers sound on sound, including a quoted vendor's cry in Vietnamese, and closes the paragraph with the conversational tag 'you know?', both features of confident Band 7.5 delivery.这段回答把各种声音层层叠加在一起,甚至还引用了一句越南语的小贩叫卖声,并以口语化的结尾语"你懂的?"收束这一段——这两点都体现出Band 7.5那种自信从容的表达方式。

The noisiest place I can think of is the night market along Bach Dang street here in Da Nang. I went there with a couple of friends-Minh and Vy-about two months ago, just on a Saturday evening after we finished work. We wanted to grab some street food and just walk around since the weather was finally cooling down a bit.

As soon as we got close, it was honestly overwhelming. There were vendors shouting out their specials-like "Bánh mì, chỉ 20 ngàn thôi!"-and music from speakers outside little clothes stalls, often overlapping and competing with each other. I remember one guy doing live covers of V-pop songs with an amp, and right next to him was a woman frying bánh xèo, the sizzling sound mixing with all the chatter. There were also the constant hum of motorbikes squeezing down the street, and kids running around, occasionally shrieking in excitement. Even the river didn't look calm, with party boats passing by, blasting their own music. I think I heard at least three different songs at the same time at one point.

To be fair, it's not really my usual scene. I tend to prefer quieter places, especially after a long week at the office. But there was something kind of energising about the chaos. I wouldn't want to be there every weekend, but for a night out with friends, it made everything feel a bit more alive, you know? Still, after about two hours, I was more than happy to hop on my motorbike and drive home along the river, just enjoying the sound of the wind and the city lights.

  • LRvendors shouting out their specials-like "Bánh mì, chỉ 20 ngàn thôi!"-and music from speakers outside little clothes stalls, often overlapping and competing with each otherThis single sentence stacks several distinct techniques at once: a quoted vendor's cry in Vietnamese ('Bánh mì, chỉ 20 ngàn thôi!'), the present-participle pairing 'overlapping and competing with each other', and a layered list of sound sources. That density of precise, varied vocabulary in one sentence goes beyond the 'few topic-specific words' expected at Band 7.0 and matches the Band 7.5 target of using 'several precise or less-common words and collocations naturally' within the same breath. It also recreates the sensory chaos of the night market rather than just asserting that it was noisy.这一句话一口气叠加了好几种不同的手法:引用了小贩用越南语喊出的叫卖声('Bánh mì, chỉ 20 ngàn thôi!'),现在分词搭配'overlapping and competing with each other',以及层层叠加的声音来源清单。这种在一句话里高密度使用精确、多样词汇的做法,已经超出了7.0分所要求的「几个话题相关词汇」,而符合7.5分「在同一口气中自然使用若干精确或不常见的词汇和搭配」的目标。它还再现了夜市里感官上的纷杂,而不只是断言「那里很吵」。
  • FCI think I heard at least three different songs at the same time at one point.'I think I heard at least three different songs at the same time at one point' is a quantified, reflective observation that steps back from the description to comment on just how layered the noise actually was. Placing this kind of evaluative beat in the middle of the story, not just at the end, is the sustained reflective development the Band 7.5 fluency target calls for. It also gives the earlier list of sounds — vendor, singer, motorbikes, boats — a concrete payoff rather than leaving it as pure description.'I think I heard at least three different songs at the same time at one point'是一句带有量化色彩的反思性评论,从描述中抽身出来,评论噪音到底有多么层层叠叠。把这种评价性的停顿放在故事中段,而不只是结尾,正是7.5分流利度目标所要求的持续性反思展开。它也让前面列出的声音清单——小贩、歌手、摩托车、船只——有了一个具体的落脚点,而不只是停留在纯粹的描述上。
  • LRit made everything feel a bit more alive, you know? The tag 'you know?' is a natural spoken discourse marker, not a piece of vocabulary chosen for effect, and it signals the relaxed, conversational register that the Band 7.5 descriptor asks for — idiomatic touches 'deployed smoothly, never showing off'. It lands right after the evaluative claim that the chaos 'made everything feel a bit more alive', reinforcing that this is genuine spoken reflection rather than a scripted-sounding conclusion.语气词'you know?'是一个自然的口语话语标记,并非为了效果而刻意选用的词汇,它体现出7.5分描述所要求的那种放松、口语化的语域——习语化的小点缀「运用得自然流畅,毫不炫耀」。它紧跟在评价性论断'made everything feel a bit more alive'之后出现,进一步表明这是真实的口头反思,而非听起来像背稿的结论。

Markets and main roads are probably the noisiest, especially during rush hour when hundreds of motorbikes are all sounding their horns near Dragon Bridge. Construction sites are common too, because Da Nang has been developing fast, with new apartment towers going up along the riverfront close to my building. Karaoke bars and street food areas get loud in the evening as well, but it's a more fun kind of noise, more music and talking than traffic. Even my own office can get noisy sometimes, since it's open-plan and full of ringing phones and video calls with overseas clients. So noise here really comes from traffic, building work and city life all together.

    • FCSo noise here really comes from traffic, building work and city life all together.A plain closing summary tacked on at the end with 'So'. A 7.0 or 7.5 answer would more likely vary the closing phrase, using something like 'layered together' or 'stacked on top of one another' instead of the flatter 'all together'.一个用 'So' 附加在结尾的平实总结。7.0或7.5分答案更可能变换一下结尾短语,用类似 'layered together' 或 'stacked on top of one another' 的表达,而不是较为平淡的 'all together'。
    • LRbut it's a more fun kind of noise, more music and talking than trafficA plain, general adjective ('fun'). A higher band would likely use a more precise noun such as 'a livelier kind of noise' or 'a livelier strain of noise', which describes the quality of the sound more specifically.一个朴素、笼统的形容词('fun')。更高分的答案更可能使用更精确的名词短语,比如 'a livelier kind of noise' 或 'a livelier strain of noise',更具体地描述这种声音的性质。
    • GRAwith new apartment towers going up along the riverfront close to my buildingA participial phrase already used here, showing some structural range. A 7.5 answer would be more likely to use the more vivid verb 'rising' in place of the plainer 'going up' within the same construction.这里已经使用了分词短语,显示出一定的句式变化。7.5分答案更可能在同样的结构中使用更生动的动词 'rising',而不是较为平实的 'going up'。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo noise here comes from traffic, construction and city life all layered together. The verb 'layered' gives the closing summary a more deliberate, image-based shape than the flatter 'all together' the 6.5 answer ends on for the same idea.动词 'layered' 让结尾的总结有了比6.5分答案结尾更平淡的 'all together' 更刻意、更具画面感的形态。
    • LRthough it's a livelier kind of noise, more music and conversation than trafficThe adjective 'livelier' is a more precise, natural choice than the vague 'fun' a 6.5 answer uses to describe the same evening noise.形容词 'livelier' 比6.5分答案用来描述同样的夜晚噪音的模糊形容词 'fun' 更精确、更自然。
    • GRAEven my own office can get surprisingly noisy at times, since it's open-plan and full of ringing phones and video calls with overseas clients happening at onceA since-clause with an inserted 'happening at once' phrase extends the sentence further than the plainer version a 6.5 answer manages for the same idea, packing in more simultaneous detail.一个带有插入短语 'happening at once' 的since从句,比6.5分答案对同一个意思的较为朴素处理方式延伸得更远,塞进了更多同时发生的细节。

Markets and main roads are probably the noisiest spots, especially during rush hour, when hundreds of motorbikes seem to sound their horns in unison near Dragon Bridge. Karaoke bars and street food stalls get loud come evening too, though it's a livelier strain of noise, more music and chatter than traffic. Even my own office can get surprisingly noisy at times, being open-plan and full of ringing phones and overlapping video calls with overseas clients. So noise here comes from traffic, construction and city life, all stacked on top of one another.

Mostly because noise makes it hard to relax or focus, and being around it all the time is tiring, even if you don't notice it happening.

    • FCFor some people, it's also about controlA plain, direct way of introducing the final reason. A 7.0 or 7.5 answer would more likely phrase this as 'a question of control', a slightly more natural, formal way of naming the same idea.一种朴素、直接的方式来引出最后一个理由。7.0或7.5分答案更可能将其表述为 'a question of control',这是一种略微更自然、更正式的方式来表达同样的意思。

A higher band would likely vary this with a more vivid verb, such as poor sleep 'rippling outward' into mood and health, avoiding the repetition.一个重复使用的平实动词('affect' 用了两次)。更高分的答案更可能变换用词,使用更生动的动词,比如睡眠不佳 'rippling outward'(向外扩散)影响到情绪和健康,以避免重复。
    • GRAnoise you didn't choose feels more annoying than music you chose to play yourselfA comparative clause repeating 'choose/chose' in both halves, plain but workable.

    • FCSo there are quite a few overlapping reasons behind it.A short closing sentence naming the structure of the whole answer (several overlapping reasons), a slightly more organised wrap-up than the 6.5 answer, which simply ends on its last point without this summarising move.一个简短的结尾句点明了整篇答案的结构(几个相互交织的原因),比6.5分答案更有条理地收尾——那个版本只是直接在最后一个观点上结束,没有这种总结性的表述。
    • LRNoise can disrupt sleep too, which affects mood and health more broadlyThe verb 'disrupt' is a more precise, natural collocation with 'sleep' than the vaguer 'affect' a 6.5 answer repeats twice in the same sentence.动词 'disrupt' 与 'sleep' 搭配比6.5分答案在同一句话中重复使用两次的模糊动词 'affect' 更精确、更自然。
    • GRAunwanted, unpredictable sound feels intrusive in a way that music you've chosen to play doesn'tThe compact noun phrase 'unwanted, unpredictable sound' replaces the fuller relative clause ('noise you didn't choose') the 6.5 answer uses, a more economical way of naming the same idea.紧凑的名词短语 'unwanted, unpredictable sound' 替换了6.5分答案使用的更完整的关系从句('noise you didn't choose'),是一种更简洁的表达同样意思的方式。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer uses the adjective 'wearing' and the compressed compound 'sound-sensitive', with the vivid verb phrase 'ripples outward' replacing the plainer 'affects...more broadly' the lower bands use.7.5分答案使用了形容词 'wearing' 和紧凑的复合词 'sound-sensitive',并用生动的动词短语 'ripples outward' 替换了较低分版本使用的较为朴素的 'affects...more broadly'。

Mostly because noise makes it hard to relax or concentrate, and constant exposure to it is genuinely wearing, even when you don't consciously register it happening. Some people are also just more sound-sensitive than others — a coworker of mine, An, wears noise-cancelling headphones at his desk practically all day, since even ordinary office chatter pulls him out of his design work. Noise can disrupt sleep too, which ripples outward into mood and health more broadly, especially for people living near busy roads. For some, it's also a question of control — unwanted, unpredictable sound feels intrusive in a way that music you've deliberately chosen simply doesn't. So there are quite a few overlapping reasons tangled up in it.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo there are quite a few overlapping reasons tangled up in it.The closing summary adds the image 'tangled up in it', a more vivid, deliberate final phrase than the flatter 'behind it' the 7.0 answer ends on for the same wrap-up sentence.结尾总结加入了画面感 'tangled up in it',比7.0答案在同一收尾句中使用的较为平淡的 'behind it' 更生动、更刻意。
    • LRNoise can disrupt sleep too, which ripples outward into mood and health more broadlyThe verb phrase 'ripples outward into' is more vivid and figurative than the plainer 'affects...more broadly' the lower bands use for the same chain of consequences.动词短语 'ripples outward into' 比较低分版本用来表达同一连锁后果的较为朴素的 'affects...more broadly' 更生动、更具比喻色彩。
    • GRAeven ordinary office chatter pulls him out of his design workThe verb phrase 'pulls him out of' is a more vivid, active construction than the plain 'distracts him from' the lower bands use for the same idea, giving the sentence a stronger sense of interruption.动词短语 'pulls him out of' 比较低分版本用来表达同样意思的朴素表达 'distracts him from' 更生动、更主动,让这句话有了更强烈的打断感。

The 6.5 answer gives a direct hedge ('not always') and one plain work example about the brainstorming session, using 'but' and 'on the other hand' to organise the contrasting points.6.5分答案给出了一个直接的缓和表达('not always'),并用一个关于头脑风暴会议的平实的工作例子,用 'but' 和 'on the other hand' 来组织对比的观点。

Not always, though there's definitely a link between noise and energy in places like festivals or concerts. A busy street market full of chatter and music does feel more alive than an empty one. But excitement doesn't need noise specifically — I find a fast brainstorming session at work exciting even when everyone's talking quietly, just because the ideas are moving fast. On the other hand, plenty of noisy places, like a traffic jam full of honking, are just stressful, not exciting. So I think it depends more on what's actually happening than on how loud it is.

    • FCSo I think it depends more on what's actually happening than on how loud it is.A plain closing comparison ending in 'how loud it is'. A 7.0 or 7.5 answer would more likely close with the more abstract noun 'volume alone', a slightly more formal, considered way of naming the same idea.一个以 'how loud it is' 结尾的平实的收尾比较。7.0或7.5分的答案更可能以更抽象的名词 'volume alone' 收尾,这是一种略微更正式、更经过思考的方式来表达同样的意思。
    • LRI find a fast brainstorming session at work excitingA plain adjective ('fast'). A higher band would likely use the more precise compound adjective 'fast-paced', which is the more natural, standard collocation for describing this kind of meeting.一个朴素的形容词('fast')。更高分的答案更可能使用更精确的复合形容词 'fast-paced',这是描述这类会议时更自然、更标准的搭配。
    • GRAplenty of noisy places, like a traffic jam full of honking, are just stressful, not excitingA relative-style example tagged on with 'like', clear but plain. A 7.5 answer would be more likely to use a parenthetical 'say' after the example instead, for a more conversational, flexible insertion.一个用 'like' 附加上去的、类似关系从句的例子,清楚但比较平实。7.5分的答案更可能在例子后面用插入语 'say' 来代替,以获得更口语化、更灵活的插入效果。
    7.0 分

The 7.0 answer upgrades 'fast' to the standard collocation 'fast-paced' and closes with a semicolon-linked final clause distinguishing correlation from cause, more developed than the plain closing sentence a 6.5 answer gives.7.0分答案将 'fast' 升级为标准搭配 'fast-paced',并以分号连接的结尾分句区分了相关性与因果性,比6.5分答案朴素的结尾句更完整。

Not always, though there's certainly a link between noise and energy in some contexts, like festivals or concerts. A busy street market full of chatter and music does feel more alive than an empty one. But excitement doesn't require noise specifically - I find a fast-paced brainstorming session at work exciting even when everyone's speaking quietly, just because of the ideas moving quickly. On the other hand, plenty of noisy places, like a traffic jam full of honking, are just stressful rather than exciting. So I'd say it depends more on what's actually happening than on volume alone; noise can accompany excitement, but it isn't really the cause of it.

    为什么是这个分数

Not always, though there's certainly a link between noise and energy in certain contexts, like festivals or concerts. A busy street market thick with chatter and music does feel more alive than an empty one, admittedly. On the other hand, plenty of noisy places, a traffic jam full of honking horns, say, are simply stressful rather than exciting. So it depends far more on what's actually happening than on volume alone; noise can accompany excitement, but it's rarely the cause of it.

    为什么是这个分数

    • LRA busy street market thick with chatter and music does feel more alive than an empty oneThe collocation 'thick with' is a more vivid, less common choice than the plain 'full of' the lower bands use to describe the same crowded market.搭配 'thick with' 是一个比较低分版本用来描述同一个拥挤集市的朴素表达 'full of' 更生动、更不常见的选择。
    • GRAplenty of noisy places, a traffic jam full of honking horns, say, are simply stressful rather than excitingA parenthetical 'say' is inserted after the example instead of introducing it with 'like', a more flexible, conversational way of adding an example mid-sentence than the lower bands' fixed 'like X' pattern.在例子后面插入了插入语 'say',而不是用 'like' 来引出它,这是一种比较低分版本固定的 'like X' 模式更灵活、更口语化的方式,可以在句子中间加入例子。

The 6.5 answer lists five kinds of place one by one, each backed by a short plain reason or example, and closes with a direct statement about public transport being unclear.6.5分答案逐一列出了五种场所,每一种都配有一个简短、平实的理由或例子,并以一句关于公共交通不明确的直接陈述作结。

Libraries are the obvious one, along with hospitals, where patients need rest and quiet helps them recover. Places of worship, like temples and churches, are also usually expected to be calm, out of respect. Cinemas are similar too, at least once the film starts — though I've had a few evenings ruined by someone's phone going off. Some workplaces expect quiet in certain areas too — our studio has an unofficial quiet corner near the window for anyone doing detailed design work, separate from the noisier area near the meeting rooms. Public transport is a bit of a grey area, since expectations depend a lot on the country.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCPublic transport is a bit of a grey area, since expectations depend a lot on the country.A plain closing sentence using the basic phrase 'a bit of a grey area'. Some workplaces carve out quiet zones as well; our studio keeps an unofficial quiet corner near the window for anyone doing detailed design work that demands real concentration, well away from the noisier cluster of meeting rooms. The simplest option is usually to deal with the source directly, like politely asking a noisy neighbour to turn the music down, which tends to work better than complaining about them afterwards. Noise-cancelling headphones are a practical personal solution too, especially at work or on public transport. In more serious or ongoing cases, like construction noise that breaks local rules, people can report it to the local authorities, since most cities, including Da Nang, have rules about working hours. • FCSo there are both personal fixes and official channels available. The two nouns 'fixes' and 'channels' are deliberately varied rather than repeating the same generic word, a more polished closing sentence than the 'personal and official routes/ways' the lower bands settle for.两个名词 'fixes' 和 'channels' 是刻意做出的变化,而不是重复同一个泛泛的词,比较低分版本满足于的 'personal and official routes/ways' 显得更为精致。
    • LRconstruction noise breaching local regulationsThe verb 'breaching' is a more formal, precise legal term than the plainer 'breaks' or 'that breaks local regulations' the lower bands use for the same idea.动词 'breaching' 是一个比较低分版本用于同样意思的较为朴素的 'breaks' 或 'that breaks local regulations' 更正式、更精确的法律术语。
    • GRASimply relocating for a while, working from a quieter café for an afternoon instead of a noisy office, is another route some of my colleagues take when they need to lock in on a big deadlineA gerund phrase ('Simply relocating for a while') opens the sentence as the grammatical subject, a more compact construction than the 'Simply changing environment, like...' pattern the lower bands use for the same idea.一个动名词短语('Simply relocating for a while')作为句子的语法主语开头,比较低分版本用于同样意思的 'Simply changing environment, like...' 结构更紧凑。

For most detailed or complex work, yes, I'd say a fairly quiet environment helps a lot. When I'm working on a tricky part of an app's user flow, background noise really slows me down, so I often put on instrumental music with headphones to block out office chatter. But total silence isn't necessary for everyone — some people actually concentrate better with a low, steady background noise, like a busy cafe, rather than complete quiet, which can feel oddly distracting. So it's less about silence and more about avoiding sudden, unpredictable noise, which is really what breaks concentration for most people.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCWhen I'm working on a tricky part of an app's user flow, background noise really slows me downA plain personal statement introduced directly with 'When I'm working on'. A 7.0 or 7.5 answer would more likely use a more vivid verb like 'wrestling with' in this position instead of the plain 'working on'.一个用 'When I'm working on' 直接引出的平实个人陈述。7.0或7.5分答案更可能在这个位置使用更生动的动词,比如 'wrestling with',而不是朴素的 'working on'。
    • LRbackground noise really slows me downA plain intensifier ('really'). A higher band would likely use the more precise adverb 'noticeably', which describes the effect more exactly than the vague 'really'.一个朴素的强调词('really')。更高分的答案更可能使用更精确的副词 'noticeably',比模糊的 'really' 更准确地描述了这种效果。
    • GRABut total silence isn't necessary for everyone — some people actually concentrate better with a low, steady background noise, like a busy cafe, rather than complete quiet, which can feel oddly distractingA long sentence with a tagged-on relative clause at the end, workable but slightly loose. A 7.5 answer would be more likely to add 'in its own right' as a compact closing modifier for a tighter final clause.一个句末带有附加关系从句的长句,可以接受但略显松散。7.5分答案更可能加上 'in its own right' 作为紧凑的结尾修饰语,让最后的分句更为紧凑。
    7.0 分

The 7.0 answer upgrades 'really slows me down' to the more precise 'genuinely slows me down' and extends the caveat with 'or even ideal', adding 'on its own' to sharpen the final clause a 6.5 answer leaves looser.7.0分答案将 'really slows me down' 升级为更精确的 'genuinely slows me down',并用 'or even ideal' 扩展了保留意见,又加上 'on its own' 让6.5分答案较为松散的最后分句更加紧凑。

For most detailed or complex work, yes, I'd say a reasonably quiet environment helps a lot. When I'm working on a tricky part of an app's user flow, background noise genuinely slows me down, and I'll often put on instrumental music with headphones just to block out office chatter. That said, total silence isn't necessary or even ideal for everyone - some people concentrate better with a low, steady hum of background noise, like a busy cafe, rather than complete quiet, which can feel oddly distracting on its own. So it's less about silence specifically and more about reducing sudden, unpredictable noise, which is what actually breaks concentration for most people.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCThat said, total silence isn't necessary or even ideal for everyoneThe connector 'That said' and the extended phrase 'or even ideal' give the caveat more weight than the plainer 'But total silence isn't necessary for everyone' the 6.5 answer uses for the same shift.连接词 'That said' 和扩展短语 'or even ideal' 比6.5分答案用于同样转折的较为朴素的 'But total silence isn't necessary for everyone' 更有分量。
    • LRbackground noise genuinely slows me downThe adverb 'genuinely' is a slightly more precise, natural choice than the vaguer intensifier 'really' a 6.5 answer uses in the same position.副词 'genuinely' 比6.5分答案在同一位置使用的较为模糊的强调词 'really' 略微更精确、更自然。
    • GRAsome people concentrate better with a low, steady hum of background noise, like a busy cafe, rather than complete quiet, which can feel oddly distracting on its ownThe added phrase 'on its own' tightens the final relative clause compared with the looser version a 6.5 answer ends on for the same point.添加的短语 'on its own' 让最后的关系从句更加紧凑,相比之下6.5分答案在同一点上结尾的版本更松散。
    7.5 分

The 7.5 answer uses the vivid verb 'wrestling with' and the precise adverb 'noticeably', closing on the less common verb 'derails' instead of the plainer 'breaks' the lower bands use.7.5分答案使用了生动的动词 'wrestling with' 和精确的副词 'noticeably',并以不太常见的动词 'derails' 收尾,而不是较低分版本使用的较为朴素的 'breaks'。

For most detailed or complex work, yes, a reasonably quiet environment genuinely helps. When I'm wrestling with a tricky part of an app's user flow, background noise noticeably slows me down, so I'll often put on instrumental music through headphones purely to block out office chatter. That said, total silence isn't necessary, or even ideal, for everyone — some people concentrate better against a low, steady hum of background noise, a busy café, say, rather than complete quiet, which can feel oddly distracting in its own right. So it's less about silence specifically and more about keeping out sudden, unpredictable noise, which is really what derails concentration for most people.

In terms of obvious, immediate harm, probably not quite as serious, but I think it's more damaging than people usually think. Long-term exposure to noise pollution is linked to higher stress hormones, high blood pressure and poor sleep, which add up to real health problems over time, even though they're less dramatic than dirty water or toxic air. The difference is that noise pollution is often seen as just an annoyance rather than a real health issue, so it gets much less attention from regulators. I think it deserves to be taken as seriously as water and air pollution, not treated as an afterthought, especially in fast-growing, crowded cities.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCI think it deserves to be taken as seriously as water and air pollution, not treated as an afterthoughtA plain closing recommendation repeating 'I think' from the opening sentence. A 7.0 or 7.5 answer would more likely vary this with 'I'd argue', avoiding the repetition of the same reporting phrase.一个重复开头句 'I think' 的朴素结尾建议。7.0或7.5分答案更可能用 'I'd argue' 来变化,避免重复使用同一个引述短语。

A higher band would likely use the more precise, slightly more formal verb 'dismissed as', which conveys the dismissal more actively than the neutral 'seen as'.一个朴素的动词选择('seen as')。更高分的答案更可能使用更精确、略微更正式的动词 'dismissed as',比中性的 'seen as' 更主动地传达出这种轻视。
    • GRAwhich add up to real health problems over time, even though they're less dramatic than dirty water or toxic airA relative clause with a tagged-on 'even though' contrast, clear but standard. A 7.5 answer would be more likely to use the verb 'accumulate into' in place of the plainer 'add up to' for a more precise collocation.一个带有附加 'even though' 对比的关系从句,清楚但比较常规。7.5分答案更可能使用动词 'accumulate into' 来代替较为朴素的 'add up to',搭配更精确。

I think it deserves to be treated more seriously, alongside water and air pollution, rather than as an afterthought, especially in fast-growing, increasingly crowded cities.

    • LRnoise pollution is often dismissed as just an annoyance rather than a genuine health issueThe verb 'dismissed as' is a more precise, active choice than the neutral 'seen as' a 6.5 answer uses for the same idea about how noise pollution is perceived.动词 'dismissed as' 比6.5分答案用于表达噪音污染被如何看待这一意思的中性动词 'seen as' 更精确、更主动。

In terms of visible, immediate harm, probably not quite as severe, but I'd argue it's more damaging than people generally assume. Long-term exposure to noise pollution has been linked to raised stress hormones, high blood pressure and poor sleep, which accumulate into real health consequences over time, even if they're less dramatic than contaminated water or toxic air. The trouble is that noise pollution tends to get dismissed as mere annoyance rather than a genuine health issue, so it draws far less regulatory attention than it probably should. I'd argue it deserves to be taken just as seriously as water and air pollution, rather than treated as an afterthought, especially in fast-growing, increasingly crowded cities.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCI'd argue it deserves to be taken just as seriously as water and air pollution, rather than treated as an afterthoughtThe verb 'I'd argue', reused deliberately from the opening sentence, frames the closing recommendation as part of a consistent argument rather than a plain restated opinion, avoiding the 'I think...I think' repetition of the 6.5 answer.动词 'I'd argue' 从开头句中被刻意重复使用,把结尾建议塑造成了一个前后一致的论证的一部分,而不是简单重述的观点,避免了6.5分答案中 'I think...I think' 的重复。

I'd say it's a shared responsibility. Local governments need to set and actually enforce reasonable limits, especially around construction hours and traffic noise, because individuals can't control city-wide problems on their own. Businesses, like bars and karaoke places, should also take responsibility for the noise they make that affects nearby residents, instead of treating complaints as someone else's problem. On an individual level, people should be considerate of their neighbours too, which sounds obvious but isn't always practised. At my apartment building, the management added a rule limiting loud renovation work to weekday mornings only, after enough residents complained, which shows how these different groups need to work together.

    • FCwhich shows how these different groups need to work togetherA plain closing clause naming the groups generically as 'different groups'. I'd guess yes, especially in fast-growing cities like Da Nang, where construction and traffic have both increased noticeably over the last few years. More vehicles, more people living closer together and more construction all point towards more noise, not less. On the other hand, technology might reduce some of this — electric vehicles are much quieter than petrol ones, and better building materials can reduce noise passing between apartments. Cities are also starting to plan more green buffer zones to absorb sound. So while the pressures point towards more noise, better design and technology could stop the problem getting as bad as raw growth would suggest.

The 7.0 answer upgrades 'people living closer together' to the precise term 'urban density' and closes with the more natural phrase 'keep the problem from getting as bad as' instead of the plainer 'stop the problem getting as bad as'.7.0分答案将 'people living closer together' 升级为精确术语 'urban density',并以更自然的短语 'keep the problem from getting as bad as' 收尾,而不是较为朴素的 'stop the problem getting as bad as'。

I'd guess yes, especially in fast-growing cities like Da Nang, where construction and traffic have both increased noticeably over the past few years. More vehicles, more urban density and more construction all point towards rising noise levels rather than falling ones. On the other hand, technology might offset some of this - electric vehicles are much quieter than petrol ones, and better building materials can reduce noise transfer between apartments. Cities are also starting to plan more green buffer zones specifically to absorb sound. So while the underlying pressures point towards more noise, better design and technology could realistically keep the problem from getting as bad as raw growth would suggest.

    • FCSo while the underlying pressures point towards more noise, better design and technology could realistically keep the problem from getting as bad as raw growth would suggest. The added adverb 'realistically' and the more natural verb phrase 'keep the problem from' give the closing sentence a more careful, considered tone than the plainer 'stop the problem getting' the 6.5 answer uses.添加的副词 'realistically' 和更自然的动词短语 'keep the problem from',让结尾句有了比6.5分答案使用的较为朴素的 'stop the problem getting' 更谨慎、更经过思考的语气。
    • LRMore vehicles, more urban density and more construction all point towards rising noise levelsThe term 'urban density' is a more precise, economical noun phrase than the descriptive 'people living closer together' a 6.5 answer uses for the same idea.术语 'urban density' 比6.5分答案用于同样意思的描述性短语 'people living closer together' 更精确、更简洁。
    • GRAelectric vehicles are much quieter than petrol ones, and better building materials can reduce noise transfer between apartmentsThe noun phrase 'noise transfer' replaces the verb-based 'noise passing' the 6.5 answer uses, a slightly more nominal, technical way of phrasing the same idea.名词短语 'noise transfer' 替换了6.5分答案使用的以动词为主的 'noise passing',是一种略微更名词化、更专业的表达方式。

The 7.5 answer uses the vivid verbs 'climbed' and 'soak up sound', with the compact adjective phrase 'denser living' replacing the fuller 'urban density', closing on the less common verb 'spiralling'.7.5分答案使用了生动的动词 'climbed' 和 'soak up sound',用紧凑的形容词短语 'denser living' 替换了更完整的 'urban density',并以不太常见的动词 'spiralling' 收尾。

I'd guess yes, especially in fast-growing cities like Da Nang, where construction and traffic have both climbed noticeably over the past few years. More vehicles, denser living and more construction all point towards rising noise levels rather than falling ones. On the other hand, technology might offset some of that — electric vehicles run far quieter than petrol ones, and better building materials can cut down noise transfer between apartments. Cities are also starting to plan in green buffer zones specifically to soak up sound. So while the underlying pressures point squarely towards more noise, smarter design and technology could realistically keep the problem from spiralling as badly as raw growth alone would suggest.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCSo while the underlying pressures point squarely towards more noise, smarter design and technology could realistically keep the problem from spiralling as badly as raw growth alone would suggest. The adverb 'squarely' and the verb 'spiralling' give the closing sentence a sharper, more emphatic final shape than the plainer 'point towards' and 'getting as bad as' the lower bands use for the same conclusion.副词 'squarely' 和动词 'spiralling' 让结尾句有了比较低分版本用于同样结论的较为朴素的 'point towards' 和 'getting as bad as' 更犀利、更有力的收尾形态。
    • LRCities are also starting to plan in green buffer zones specifically to soak up soundThe idiom 'soak up sound' is a more vivid, natural collocation than the plain 'absorb sound' the lower bands use for the same function of green buffer zones.习语 'soak up sound' 比较低分版本用于表达绿化缓冲带同样功能的朴素搭配 'absorb sound' 更生动、更自然。

The plain adjective 'completely packed' and the direct closing claim 'crowds seem guaranteed' keep this version simple, without the higher bands' more vivid 'heaving' or hedged 'practically/all but guaranteed'.朴素的形容词 'completely packed' 和直接的结尾论断 'crowds seem guaranteed' 让这个版本保持简单,没有用到更高分版本中更生动的 'heaving',也没有用带缓和语气的 'practically/all but guaranteed'。

I'd say places offering entertainment or shopping are usually the most crowded. Last September I went to the opening of a new café called The Roastery near Dragon Bridge. It was a Friday evening, and the place was completely packed, with barely any space to move between the tables. I could hear coffee machines hissing and people laughing over the music. I waited nearly twenty minutes for a cà phê sữa đá, but the busy atmosphere actually made it feel exciting rather than frustrating. Not every café is like that, but whenever something new opens in a popular area, crowds seem guaranteed.

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCthe place was completely packedA common, everyday adjective. 7.5 replaces this with the more vivid, idiomatic 'absolutely heaving', a stronger and less predictable word choice for describing the same crowd.一个常见的日常形容词。7.5分版本将其替换为更生动、更地道的 'absolutely heaving',用来描述同样的人群时,是一个更有力、也更不落俗套的词语选择。
    • LRcrowds seem guaranteedA flat, absolute claim. 7.0 and 7.5 both soften this with a hedge — 'practically guaranteed' / 'all but guaranteed' — a more natural, considered way of making a strong claim without sounding overly certain.一个平铺直叙、绝对化的论断。7.0和7.5版本都用缓和语气的表达 'practically guaranteed' / 'all but guaranteed' 来软化这个说法——这是一种更自然、更经过斟酌的方式,既能表达强烈的观点,又不会显得过于笃定。
    • GRAI could hear coffee machines hissing and people laughing over the music.A simple coordinated sentence. 7.0 adds the detail 'in the background' at the end, and both higher bands use a dash-set aside elsewhere in the answer, showing a slightly more layered sentence style than this plain coordination.一个简单的并列句。7.0版本在句末加上了细节 'in the background',而两个更高分版本都在答案的其他地方使用了破折号插入语,显示出比这种简单并列句略微更有层次感的句式风格。

    • FCthe place was absolutely packedAdds the intensifier 'absolutely' to 6.5's plain 'completely packed'. 7.5 replaces the whole phrase with the more original 'absolutely heaving', a further step up in vividness.在6.5版本朴素的 'completely packed' 基础上加上了强调词 'absolutely'。7.5版本则将整个短语替换为更有新意的 'absolutely heaving',在生动程度上又进了一步。
    • LRcrowds seem practically guaranteedThe hedge 'practically' softens the absolute claim, more natural-sounding than 6.5's flat 'crowds seem guaranteed'. 7.5 varies this to 'all but guaranteed', an equally natural but slightly different hedge.缓和语气的 'practically' 软化了这个绝对化的论断,听起来比6.5版本平淡的 'crowds seem guaranteed' 更自然。7.5版本则变换为 'all but guaranteed',同样自然,只是缓和的方式略有不同。
    • GRAthere was barely any space to move between the wooden tablesA dash introduces this detail directly after the main clause, a more fluid link than 6.5's separate sentence structure. 7.5 keeps a very similar dash construction with 'little wooden tables' and 'room' instead of 'space'.一个破折号紧接在主句之后引出这个细节,比6.5版本用独立句子的结构衔接得更流畅。7.5版本保留了非常相似的破折号结构,只是用 'little wooden tables' 和 'room' 分别替换了 'space'。

I suspect for people like her, the noise and activity make them feel more connected and alive, whereas someone like me usually ends up drained after too long in that kind of environment. Still, I can absolutely see the appeal when the crowd is in a genuinely festive mood.

    • FCI think some people genuinely thrive in crowded placesA stronger, more specific verb than 7.0 and 6.5's shared 'genuinely enjoy', suggesting these people don't just tolerate crowds but actively flourish in them.比7.0和6.5版本共用的 'genuinely enjoy' 更强烈、更具体的动词,暗示这些人不只是能忍受人群,而是能在人群中真正地蓬勃发展。
    • LRsoaking up the lively atmosphere like it was nothingAdds the idiomatic tail 'like it was nothing' to 7.0's already developed three-item list, giving the description an extra note of effortlessness that the plainer 7.0 version lacks.在7.0版本已经比较完整的三项列举末尾加上了带有习语色彩的收尾 'like it was nothing',为这段描写增添了一种轻而易举的感觉,这是较为朴素的7.0版本所没有的。
    • GRAI could barely move for the sheer size of the crowdThe prepositional phrase 'for the sheer size of' is a more idiomatic, slightly formal construction than 7.0 and 6.5's plainer 'because of the huge crowd', a small grammatical upgrade.介词短语 'for the sheer size of' 是一种比7.0和6.5版本更平实的 'because of the huge crowd' 更地道、也略微更正式的结构,是一个不大但确实存在的语法提升。

The adjective 'busy' is plain, unlike the higher bands' more vivid 'buzzing' or 'buzzing round the clock'.形容词 'busy' 比较平实,不像更高分版本中更生动的 'buzzing' 或 'buzzing round the clock'。

I think one real advantage of living in a crowded place is the sense of constant energy and convenience. When I stayed with my friend Trang for a few days in her apartment near the Han River, the streets downstairs were always busy, even late at night. If we wanted a late-night bánh mì or some chè, there were street food stalls open just a few steps away. It was actually exciting to have so many options and people around, and I felt fairly safe walking home with all the activity. Of course the noise could get annoying, but having everything within reach made daily life feel more connected.

    • FCthe streets downstairs were always busy, even late at nightA plain adjective. 7.0 and 7.5 both replace 'busy' with the more vivid 'buzzing', a livelier word that suggests activity and sound rather than just a state of being occupied.一个朴素的形容词。7.0和7.5版本都用更生动的 'buzzing' 替换了 'busy',这个词更有活力,暗示的是活动和声音,而不仅仅是一种被占用的状态。
    • LRI felt fairly safe walking home with all the activityA plain adverb ('fairly'). 7.5 upgrades this to 'reassuringly safe', a more precise and evocative adjective than the general 'fairly safe'.一个朴素的副词('fairly')。7.5版本将其升级为 'reassuringly safe',这个形容词比泛泛的 'fairly safe' 更精确、更能引发联想。
    • GRAOf course the noise could get annoying, but having everything within reach made daily life feel more connected.A simple 'but' sentence. 7.0 and 7.5 both extend the ending with 'and less isolating', adding a second parallel result rather than stopping at just one, as this version does.一个简单的 'but' 句。7.0和7.5版本都在结尾加上了 'and less isolating',增加了第二个并列的结果,而不是像这个版本那样只停留在一个结果上。
    7.0 分

The added phrase 'and less isolating' at the very end gives the closing sentence two parallel results instead of 6.5's single outcome.在句末加上的短语 'and less isolating' 让结尾句有了两个并列的结果,而不像6.5版本那样只有一个结果。

    • LRand less isolatingAdds a second result to the closing sentence, absent from 6.5's version which stops at 'more connected'. 7.5 keeps this same addition with 'far less isolating', a small further intensification.在结尾句中加上了第二个结果,这是6.5版本没有的——那个版本止步于 'more connected'。7.5版本保留了同样的补充,并用 'far less isolating' 做了进一步的小幅强化。
    • GRAhaving everything within reach and that lively atmosphere made daily life feel more connected and less isolatingA longer sentence with two coordinated subjects ('everything within reach and that lively atmosphere') producing two coordinated results, more developed than 6.5's simpler single-cause, single-result sentence.一个更长的句子,用两个并列的主语('everything within reach and that lively atmosphere')产生两个并列的结果,比6.5版本更简单的单因单果句式更为完整。

I think people enjoy spending time with others in public places mainly because it gives them a sense of connection and energy. When you're surrounded by lots of people, even strangers, it somehow feels more alive. Last month I met my friend Khánh at a street food fair along Le Duan street. There were food stalls everywhere, the smell of grilled meat and spicy sauces in the air, and music playing in the background. We could have just eaten at home, but being part of that buzz made it more memorable. • LRit somehow feels more aliveA simple, direct claim. 7.5 upgrades this with 'even if most are complete strangers', adding the intensifier 'complete' that this plainer version omits.一个简单、直接的论断。7.5版本将其升级为 'even if most are complete strangers',加上了这个较为朴素的版本所没有的强调词 'complete'。
    • GRACrowds can be overwhelming sometimes, but generally, being in lively public spaces brings people together in a way that's hard to recreate in private.A single long sentence with a plain 'but' connector. 7.0 and 7.5 both restructure the opening with 'Of course, sometimes crowds can be overwhelming, but in general...', a more natural, hedged way of introducing the same concession.一个用朴素的 'but' 连接的长句。7.0和7.5版本都用 'Of course, sometimes crowds can be overwhelming, but in general...' 重新组织了开头,这是一种更自然、带缓和语气的方式来引出同样的让步。
    7.0 分

The hedge 'Of course, sometimes... but in general' introduces the closing concession more naturally than 6.5's blunter 'but'.缓和语气的表达 'Of course, sometimes... but in general' 比6.5版本更直白的 'but' 更自然地引出了结尾的让步。

I think people enjoy spending time with others in public places mainly because it gives them a sense of connection and energy. When you're surrounded by lots of people, even if most are strangers, it just feels more alive somehow. For example, last month I met my friend Khánh at a street food fair along Le Duan street. There were food stalls everywhere, the smell of grilled meat and spicy sauces in the air, and music in the background. We could have just eaten at home, but being part of that buzz made it more memorable. Of course, sometimes crowds can be overwhelming, but in general, being in lively public spaces brings people together in a way that's hard to recreate in private.

    • FCeven if most are strangersA plain conditional clause. 7.5 intensifies this with 'even if most are complete strangers', adding the adjective 'complete' for emphasis that this version leaves out.一个朴素的条件从句。7.5版本用 'even if most are complete strangers' 做了强化,加上了这个版本没有的形容词 'complete' 以示强调。
    • LRit just feels more alive somehowThe adverb 'somehow' at the end adds a note of not-fully-explained feeling, more natural than 6.5's flatter 'it somehow feels more alive', which places the same adverb differently for slightly less effect.句末的副词 'somehow' 增添了一种说不清道不明的感觉,比6.5版本更平淡的 'it somehow feels more alive' 更自然——那个版本把同一个副词放在不同位置,效果略逊一筹。
    • GRAOf course, sometimes crowds can be overwhelming, but in general, being in lively public spaces brings people together in a way that's hard to recreate in private. The hedge 'Of course' softens the concession before it's made, a more natural spoken structure than 6.5's blunter opening 'Crowds can be overwhelming sometimes'. 7.5 keeps a very similar structure with 'occasionally tip into' and 'generally speaking'.缓和语气的 'Of course' 在做出让步之前先软化了语气,比6.5版本更直白的开头 'Crowds can be overwhelming sometimes' 更接近自然口语的结构。7.5版本保留了非常相似的结构,用了 'occasionally tip into' 和 'generally speaking'。

The phrase 'the smell of grilled meat and spicy sauces thick in the air' adds a more sensory, immersive detail than the plainer lower-band versions of the same image.短语 'the smell of grilled meat and spicy sauces thick in the air' 增添了比较低分版本中同一画面更平实的写法更具感官沉浸感的细节。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCthe smell of grilled meat and spicy sauces thick in the airThe adjective 'thick' gives the sentence a more sensory, immersive quality than 7.0 and 6.5's plainer 'in the air' without this modifier.形容词 'thick' 让这句话有了比7.0和6.5版本没有这个修饰词的朴素表达 'in the air' 更具感官沉浸感的特质。
    • LRbeing swept up in that buzz made the whole evening far more memorableThe verb 'swept up' is more vivid than 7.0 and 6.5's plain 'being part of', and 'the whole evening' is more specific than the general 'it' used in the lower bands.动词 'swept up' 比7.0和6.5版本朴素的 'being part of' 更生动,而 'the whole evening' 也比较低分版本使用的泛泛的 'it' 更具体。
    • GRAcrowds can occasionally tip into overwhelming, but generally speaking, lively public spaces bring people together in a way that's genuinely hard to recreate in privateThe verb phrase 'tip into' replaces 7.0's plainer 'can be overwhelming', a more precise image of crossing a threshold rather than simply reaching a state.动词短语 'tip into' 替换了7.0版本较为平实的 'can be overwhelming',更精确地表达了跨越某个临界点的画面,而不仅仅是到达某种状态。

The closing claim 'most of us need some roots' stops there, without the higher bands' added clarifying example of what those roots might be.结尾论断 'most of us need some roots' 就此打住,没有像更高分版本那样补充说明这些"根"具体可能是什么。

Yes, I do think people need a sense of belonging to where they live, because it makes daily life feel warmer and more stable. When I first moved to Da Nang for my job, I barely knew anyone and everything felt a bit anonymous, like I was just drifting through the city. But after a few months, I started chatting with the barista at a tiny café near Dragon Bridge, and she began remembering my order, cà phê sữa đá, no sugar. It sounds simple, but that small connection honestly made the city feel more like my own. Some people might be fine living more independently, but most of us need some roots.

    • FCmost of us need some rootsA short, unexplained closing claim. 7.0 and 7.5 both extend this with 'even if it's just a familiar face or routine/a routine', explaining exactly what form these 'roots' might take, which this shorter version leaves unspecified.一个简短、未加解释的结尾论断。7.0和7.5版本都用 'even if it's just a familiar face or routine/a routine' 扩展了这句话,明确说出了这些"根"可能是什么形式,而这个较短的版本没有具体说明。
    • LReverything felt a bit anonymous, like I was just drifting through the cityA plain simile. 7.5 intensifies this to 'everything felt faintly anonymous, as though I were just drifting', with 'faintly' and 'as though' both being slightly more formal, literary choices than this plainer version.一个朴素的明喻。7.5版本将其强化为 'everything felt faintly anonymous, as though I were just drifting',其中 'faintly' 和 'as though' 都是比这个更朴素的版本略微更正式、更具文学色彩的选择。
    • GRAIt sounds simple, but that small connection honestly made the city feel more like my own.A plain 'but' sentence. 7.5 restructures a similar idea with 'It sounds like a small thing, but... started to feel like my own', a slightly different phrasing that adds the verb 'started' to suggest a gradual process rather than a sudden change.一个朴素的 'but' 句。7.5版本用 'It sounds like a small thing, but... started to feel like my own' 重新组织了类似的想法,措辞略有不同,加上了动词 'started',暗示了一个渐进的过程,而不是突然的变化。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCmost of us need some roots, even if it's just a familiar face or routineCompletes 6.5's shorter, unexplained closing claim with a specific clarifying example. 7.5 keeps this same structure with 'kind of roots' and 'a familiar face or a routine', small further refinements.用一个具体的说明性例子补全了6.5版本较短、未加解释的结尾论断。7.5版本保留了同样的结构,用了 'kind of roots' 和 'a familiar face or a routine',做了进一步的小幅打磨。
    • LReverything felt a bit anonymous, like I was just drifting through the cityIdentical to 6.5's phrasing here. 7.5 upgrades this with 'faintly anonymous' and 'as though I were', showing the small final polish still available at the top band.这里的措辞和6.5版本完全相同。7.5版本用 'faintly anonymous' 和 'as though I were' 做了升级,说明即使到了最高分段,仍有小幅打磨的空间。
    • GRAshe'd remember my order — cà phê sữa đá, no sugarA dash introduces the specific order as an appositive, a more compact structure than a full relative clause would require. 7.5 keeps this exact dash construction unchanged.一个破折号以同位语的形式引出了具体的点单内容,比完整的关系从句更简洁。7.5版本原封不动地保留了这个破折号结构。

The idiom 'I barely knew a soul' is a more vivid, native-sounding way of expressing unfamiliarity than the plainer 'barely knew anyone' the lower bands use.习语 'I barely knew a soul' 是一种比较低分版本中较为朴素的 'barely knew anyone' 更生动、更接近母语者表达方式的说法,用来表达不熟悉的感觉。

Yes, I genuinely believe people need a sense of belonging to where they live — it's what makes daily life feel warmer and altogether more stable. For example, when I first moved to Da Nang for my job, I barely knew a soul and everything felt faintly anonymous, as though I were just drifting through the city. But after a few months, I started chatting with the barista at a tiny café near Dragon Bridge, and she began remembering my order — cà phê sữa đá, no sugar. It sounds like a small thing, but that connection honestly made the city start to feel like my own. Of course, some people manage perfectly well living more independently, but most of us need some kind of roots, even if it's just a familiar face or a routine.

    • LReverything felt faintly anonymous, as though I were just drifting through the cityThe adverb 'faintly' and the more formal conditional 'as though I were' (subjunctive) are more sophisticated than 7.0 and 6.5's shared plainer 'a bit anonymous, like I was'.副词 'faintly' 和更正式的虚拟条件句 'as though I were'(虚拟语气),比7.0和6.5版本共用的较为朴素的 'a bit anonymous, like I was' 更为老练、精致。
    • GRAthat connection honestly made the city start to feel like my ownAdds the verb 'start to' to 7.0's more static 'made the city feel more like my own', suggesting a gradual process rather than an instant change, a subtler grammatical choice.在7.0版本较为静态的 'made the city feel more like my own' 中加上了动词 'start to',暗示的是一个渐进的过程,而不是瞬间的变化,是一个更为微妙的语法选择。

The three reasons for Huy's moves are listed as separate short sentences, plainer than the higher bands' single dash-linked sentence structure.阿辉搬家的三个原因被列为几个独立的短句,比更高分版本中用破折号连接的单句结构要简单。

I'd say some people move around a lot because they're looking for something that fits their lifestyle or goals better. My old colleague Huy switched apartments three times in two years. First he wanted to be closer to My Khe Beach for surfing, then he moved near the airport for a shorter commute, and finally picked a spot near Vincom mall for more city life. He used to say each place felt exciting at first, but after a few months, the noise or lack of certain amenities started bothering him. I think it's partly about chasing comfort or new experiences, but sometimes it's just practical needs changing over time.

    • FCFirst he wanted to be closer to My Khe Beach for surfing, then he moved near the airport for a shorter commute, and finally picked a spot near Vincom mall for more city life.A standalone sentence listing the three moves. 7.0 and 7.5 both fold this same list into the previous sentence using a dash ('— first, he wanted...'), a more compact way of connecting the claim about Huy to its supporting detail.一个独立成句、列出三次搬家的句子。7.0和7.5版本都用破折号('— first, he wanted...')把这个列举并入前一句,以更紧凑的方式将关于阿辉的论断和支持细节联系起来。
    • LRstarted bothering himA plain verb. 7.5 replaces this with the more vivid, idiomatic 'would start to grate on him', a more evocative phrase for gradual irritation than the general 'bothering'.一个朴素的动词。7.5版本将其替换为更生动、更地道的 'would start to grate on him',这个短语比泛泛的 'bothering' 更能唤起那种逐渐累积的烦躁感。
    • GRAI think it's partly about chasing comfort or new experiences, but sometimes it's just practical needs changing over time.A simple 'but' sentence. 7.0 and 7.5 both restructure the ending with 'it just comes down to / genuinely just comes down to practical needs... as life goes on/moves on', a more idiomatic closing construction than this plainer version.一个简单的 'but' 句。7.0和7.5版本都用 'it just comes down to / genuinely just comes down to practical needs... as life goes on/moves on' 重新组织了结尾,这是一个比这个更朴素的版本更地道的结尾结构。

    为什么是这个分数

    • FCthey're chasing something that better suits their lifestyle or ambitions at that particular momentAdds the temporal qualifier 'at that particular moment' to 7.0's already reasonable sentence, sharpening the point that people's needs shift over time rather than being fixed.在7.0版本已经相当合理的句子中加上了时间限定语 'at that particular moment',更加突出了人们的需求会随时间转变、而非一成不变这一点。
